  1. I can agree with this... ;w;
  2. I usually see Noel win in Japan by raping with her pressure, and a crossup 2D every now and again, I think I've seen a successful reversal drive like 10 times total coming from JP vids.
  3. I was actually talking more for Mu, Argent Zero showed me that j.6x blows up Noel's drives by TKing it.
  4. Hey just because you guys are free to drive doesn't mean it's a valid option to base your entire game on. Of course it feels like shit getting hit with drive, but all you gotta do to avoid 2D is just hit 5A, all you gotta do to avoid 4D is hit 2B, and suddenly Noel's drive isn't a threat anymore.
  5. Wow Agi, way to rep that star, talking about stuff you know nothing about. Wakeup drive will get you bodied, and if it isn't then the person who got hit deserved it.
  6. Nah I can agree with that, nowadays you judge a good Noel by if they can break 2.5k off of 5A, alot of scrubby Noel's I used to fight are pains in the ass now because they can derp into 5k.
  7. See that's cool and all, but a standard fatal combo does the same damage. Not worth the risk. Plus that would be character specific. /Tough Love Not bad for a combo video though. /Pet The Dog
  8. Yeah, because on the one hand they deserve it, because getting hit with 2D means you weren't respecting Noel, and even though she doesn't have real DPs you kind of need to treat her like she's a DP character. But then on the other hand, I always remember how much I hated getting hit with 9k from Arakune, and then I remember how it always made me feel, I imagine the person taking 5k for their own mistake is feeling the same way.
  9. Because if they see 2D Rapid 2D a smart Tager will never fall for it again, Tager gets his hits by successful reads, and personally if I rapid a Drive, I'm not making any plans on going back into it because I'm hoping they are mashing command grab. Your tactic will work on a Tager that's just mashing out 360s, but a good Tager will usually take the safe option and block, wait until they see you reloading or doing a drive finisher, and punish the finisher. 5C is crazy good at bating jump outs at ranges where his fast moves will wiff, and the best part is, even if you block the move in the air with barrier, Tager can usually just confirm and get some mag with 5D, or get some mag and close some distance with 2D. I usually wait until I'm out of 5C range before I try to jump, also at ranges where 5C will just barely clip you, you can usually backdash safer, just watch out because if he knows you'll do it he can spark you for free.
  10. Pressuring Tager for extended periods of time is generally a bad idea, it's usually best to gatling into a jumpable move and IAD backwards, this is after hitting his guard for awhile of course, if the Tager feels like he needs to chase you down, you are doing it right, rushing him down for too long is like putting yourself on a silver platter for him to body you. 4D during blocked drive strings is free to Sledge, into combo, into gadget Never just hold up back, Tager can hit you out of jump startup with anything he wants, into combo, into gadget. 2D > Rapid > 2D sounds hilarious but at the end of the day is still a terrible gimmick that Tagers can just sledge through, into combo, into gadget.
  11. Matchup Ranking: Recommended Playstyle: Safe and then Random, don't let him read you. General Strategy: You're gonna want to stay away from him, but still get close, if that sounds dumb to you then you're correct, it is very very dumb. Your best bet is to 5B and hope it lands as a CH to go into 3C > haida for big damage. 2D will also go over his command grabs but will lose to every standing move he does(excluding 5B). Your Best Tools(For This Matchup): 5B Has A DP?: Not a DP but his 360A has invuln frames, so any attempt to face him on the ground will fail to 360A. Has A DP With Heat?: Not a DP but his 720 is just like his 360A, and His MTW has guard point. Things To Look Out For: Grabs Gadget Finger Sledge Grabs
  12. I've been playing SF, and it doesn't help my mindset, it's just more losing, more of me bitching about shit I know nothing about, and more of me drooling over my choice of character. That last part isn't a problem btw, hell if I could put Sakura in any game I wanted, I would play every game forever.
  13. I don't feel like I deserve it. Who still loses with a broken character? Who still loses to Tager with a broken character? Who still loses a 6/4 matchup in their favor with a broken character? This guy.
  14. My own shortcomings, and I don't see myself changing anytime soon.
  15. So how do you guys deal with crippling depression?
  16. Finish your combos. Watching your match with WOZ made me throw up a bit.
  17. Wait Glitch is from New England? I could have sworn our connection was halfway decent though.
  18. Agi and C0R for most baller avatars award.
  19. I use it after comboing from non drive starters midscreen, for example: 5A > 6A > 6C > BC > 66C > BC > 66C > 5D > 236A > 66C > j.D > d.6D > d.6B > d.5D > d.5C > Bloom Trigger Or during corner combos with good starters: 2D > d.5C > d.6C > d.2D > Spring Raid > 66C(2) > 6C > 5D > Bloom Trigger > 66C > j.D > d.6D > d.6B > d.5D > d.5C > Bloom Trigger Both combos allow for double fenrir if you use fenrir after d.6B, assuming it's in the corner. Those are only a few examples, a couple of posts back I made a list of corner combos off of every drive starter, and most of them include using 5D mid combo, it's not a bad tool for combos, you just need to have the timing right.
  20. Yes it does, I was simply telling you to look out for it when going for Command throw mixup, like I said, offline I can REACT to your command throw's startup and press 2D, to go over it just in time. This is a very very bad thing, since it makes Command throw mixup a huge risk against a Noel that knows what they are doing. Obviously if you believe the Noel is just mashing 2D, you can 6A them for free, but when the Noel ISN'T mashing is when they are dangerous. It's a good thing there are only like, 4 Noel's in English speaking countries that don't mash, so you don't have to worry about them too much I suppose.
  21. Word to the wise, offline, I can react to Plat's command throw with my 2D, be VERY careful about throwing out dem command throws on a solid Noel. Alternatively, be careful about throwing them out against a Noel that mashes 2D.
  22. I would normally only recommend using Fenrir as a corner ender if you are sure it will kill your opponent or bring him close enough to death that one or two pokes would kill him, because due to the drive nerf and everyone's level buff a counter assault is an absolute must, but this is still an option, I think the same thing would work after just a BT ender honestly. May have to do some testing in DA LAB!
  23. Katz is so deep in the closet he's finding christmas presents.
