Note that she only has a DP with staff, but her 236B(?) works pretty well for that purpose but is certainly NOT a DP.

Good work so far.

Matchup Ranking: 5/5 Obviously the mirror match is going to be even, but it IS dumb. Recommended Playstyle: Patient Noel can screw herself over if she plays risky and overly aggressive, drive is a constant threat. General Strategy: Stay calm, getting punished with drive hurts big time, and even though Noel has pressure now, she still runs a heavy risk of getting D'd to death. Your Best Tools(For This Matchup): 6A - Beats 2D clean now, and is safe to use now and then during pressure strings, throwing in a 6A > 2B during stagger strings is a great way to fish for 2D counter hits. 6C - Is really good at catching 2D, and due to 100 p1 it makes your opponent think twice about reversal drive attempts. Riskier than 6A in staggers, but can be worth it in the long run. 2D - 2D is still a menace in this matchup, because it makes any low attempt extremely unsafe, use it sparingly however, now that Noel has solid tools to counter it. 4D - If you're a fan of 5A pressure, 4D will eat your family while it forces you to watch, but it's beaten by any and all lows, so you run the risk of getting 3C'd, or more commonly 2B'd. Has A DP?: No, but Drives sure as hell feel like one. Has A DP With Heat?: Fenrir kind of counts, but is dealt with much easier than a standard DP. Things To Look Out For: Due to this being a mirror match, just refer to the "Your best tools" section, and think of being on the receiving end instead of the aggressive end.

That post came SO CLOSE to making me pull a Circ, but then I decided to dig deeper and realized since he was having problems with the Silencer part of the combo, it qualified as a haida problem. :3

That's true for all of Noel's resets, including but not limited to the ones that you started this thread for. Also, you might want to update the OP of the thread to include the resets we list here, and list the pros and cons of using/attempting said reset.

CS1 Ragna mirrors?

The Japanese also say that a good Tager can beat top tier, so technically we shouldn't be bitching about anything. Nice CV by the way Jourds, Song was pretty cool.
-
This is true, the training dummy falls for it all the time.
-
Another way to solve the problem is to not use the second BT, just delay the Fenrir input right after you hit the last d.5C and that should do the trick too.

A reset I hit someone with today: combo into fenrir > Purple airgrab(yeah I know) > 2B > IAD forward grab. If your opponent techs backward in the air after the 2B connects you can snatch them out of the air when they least expect it with the air grab. This could have a use when coupled with the purple air grab tactics R1 showed off in his video against Yomura, this could be your plan B if they decide not to tech the throw, for whatever reason. I know it's farfetched, but its and option, get off my back :v

Breaking down and presenting better options from Noel's challenge mode, video by me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNybY6GEHKI

I have done the regular haida on Bang. You're slipping Hex, HOW DO I KNOW THE REST OF THE GUIDE IS LEGIT??? 8|

I'm gonna allow this thread to exist for awhile, once we make a Noel CS2 guide we'll include the resets in that and get rid of this thread.

Just block Jin's shit without mashing barrier, without 6D breaking a primer he's just not that scary, because his good primer taking moves cost heat.

It's not the Tager, it's the Plat, she's new as fuck, so you don't entirely know what you're doing yet.
-
I was getting caught alot with Stuff > Command grab, once I find out if I can 2D over it though, I can bet Plat's aren't gonna try it TOO often on Noel :P
-
I'd assume: 5C > j.B > j.C > dj.C > dj.236AAA

Same as the other two DLC characters. 1. Beat Challenges 1-7 2. Use her Unlimited Mode in Arcade/Versus/XBL/PSN 3. Do a Redbeat 5k combo in Arcade/Versus/XBL/PSN(unlimited can be used for this)

Surprisingly the best way to deal with 2D in CS1 was 6C, but we got very little reward off of it, you could probably still use 6C now to catch 2D and get a better combo due to 6C's 100p1, but 6A is MUCH safer on wiff in case you messed up somehow.
-
6A is actually pretty good nowadays, due to hitting crouchers it's safe, it's also a good idea to use it as an AA, auto input 6A > 2B, if the 6A CH, you wiff the 2B and can run up for a combo. As far as on the ground goes, it's not all that amazing, but it is crucial in the Noel mirror(to name one example) because it actually hits 2D EVERY TIME now, instead of being hella inconsistent like in CS1, so using it as a jump out bait or a 2D bait in stagger situations is a good idea.

Alright got some more hit confirms for you guys: CH Assault Through, how does it work? Long Range Combo(Long Slide before corner), can also function as a less hard combo to do instead of the short range one. CH Assault Through > 66~2B > 6C(2) > 6C > 4D > d.6C > SR > 66C > j.D > d.6D > d.6B > d.5D > d.5C > Bloom Trigger(4.1k) Short Range Combo(Hit immediately into the corner), damage varies depending on how many 22Bs you got in/character you are fighting. CH Assault Through > 66 > 22B(Mash)C~66 > 6C(2) > 6C > 4D > d.6C > SR > 66C > j.D > d.6D > d.6B > d.5D > d.5C > Bloom Trigger(4.6-5.1k)
-
Don't worry, once you start fighting good players you'll stop feeling bad because you'll realize how bad 2D really is, also 2D and Grabs aren't considered normals, 2D is a drive and Grab is a... well a grab. Anyways, my favorite normals so far are 5B, 2A(+1 on block), 2B(Low, neutral on block) and 2C(low, +3 on block).

Real talk when I saw C0R became mod, at first I was like "wtf, of WHAT?" then I saw it was Mu Mod and I was all "=w= PARTY AT C0R'S PLACE!" And everyone had a designated driver(Noel player).

The Noels also use ~ in a similar fashion, we use it for two things: 1. For a run in a combo(As in, not a dash, a fucking sprint) example: Thor > 66~6C(2) > 6C > yourhealthisgone.jpg 2. For dash cancels, usually following the move that can be dash canceled so that the difference is obvious, example: 22BBBBBBC~66 > 6C > yourhealthisgone.jpg Just mah 2 cents, you can disregard if you want, cuz I'm hella free.
