I'd like to point out that 2A is STILL better in pressure than 5A, since 2A is -1 instead of -3 like 5A.
-
that's pretty much it man. that single frame makes it a good choice when pressuring up close, or when throwing out just out of range for baiting a poke out attempt.

LunaKage Vs. Axis Ft10s 01/24/2014 Week 02. (Noel Vs. Azrael) Luna Wins 10-9 (GDLK Title On The Line)
-
yes Amane's j.D is indeed a projectile, so you should be able to 4D it.
-
The key is to get them to block a drive starter. From there you just try to mix them up with d.6D or d.6B. It seems like using drive and spacing with j.C hoping to get an air CH is all Noel tries to do in this game.
-
That's the risk of the setup. Noel isn't a setplay character, so she actually has to make hard reads if she wants a mixup on wakeup, and usually playing it safe doesn't get you very much. Gotta do what you gotta do.

6C (2) wallbounce allowed him to jump over him in the corner, from there it was a classic case of crossing under a neutral tech. brb stealing.
-
I'll answer you: sorry but I'm at work, maybe some other time.
-
I found him to be much easier in Extend. I 4D'd every attempt at j.B, and for a 4-5k combo each time. sure getting touched meant I died, but it was so much harder to touch me when he was terrified to throw out j.B.
-
Neutral against Arakune is definitely difficult, but it's not impossible, just keep grinding the matchup and feel free to ask questions whenever you have any :3
-
It was a joke man, pay it no mind. The stuff I said before it was the important stuff.
-
Oh man beating Arakune in the air... You CAN beat his j.B(his spikey move) with 6A, but it must be at the very tip of 6A against the very tip of his j.B. It's very difficult, but it's still one of the better options, since during his keepaway process he will be that high in the air, so situating yourself in the sweet spot will set up a bit of a "6A his j.B or block his j.D" kind of game, guess right and you get to hit him, guess wrong and you get hurt or cursed. j.A is also really good, but be careful because Arakune wins in an air-to-air situation in most cases. In curse pressure... block. Unless you're fighting a very BAD Arakune player, you wont be able to do anything but block while in curse pressure. Though I guess I should point out that since his bugs are projectiles, you can 4D through them, so if you get enough of a gap that you can 4D, then you will only have to worry about going through his move instead of his bugs too. Keep in mind though, that's not gonna happen against a good Arakune player who has curse. In my opinion, this matchup is 6.9-3.14 in Valk's favor... because every one of Noel's matchups are in Valk's favor.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF Oh well, I can deal with it.
-
DualSeeker, where do you live? I need to prepare myself for our connection for when we eventually play each other.
-
I disagree, you have better options on block if you use 5B instead, its also a tighter gap.
-
I hold myself to a high standard of execution, so if I drop a combo or fail a microdash, I force myself to listen to a Miley Cyrus (Syrus?) song. But like Lith said, you gotta just practice until it becomes second nature. you should never have to think about a microdash, it should just happen.
-
It blows my mind how some people can actually do stuff in some connections. I had a really bad two bar with this Jin, felt like I was in a fish tank, yet this guys hittin' microdashes, DP links, finishing combos etc.
-
j.D will work at any height, you just have to wait for Noel to drop a bit so j.D's hitbox will connect. It's not even that worse of a combo, since you can add more drives due to less time taken.
-
GGs Wild Candy. A bit of advice from what I remember during the matches we played: I noticed that every time you used Thor and failed to connect, you would 4D, every single time, upon noticing this I would just grab you as soon as you landed to punish 4D. You would be surprised how hard it actually is for Noel to punish Thor effectively, I only punished Thor itself once during all those sets, and that was when I hit you with 6C before you could land. Also, you were really predictable with your drive strings, the only reason I didn't 4D you every time was because of missed timings on my part, or slight lag, or both, hell I dunno. Regardless, you used d.5C after every 5D, which is the easiest thing to 4D, also on most of my wakeups you would attempt a meaty 6B, which if you remember, got you 4D'd a whole lot. The best way to bait a 4D while still in drive is to d.6D, or if you can't d.6D, then use d.4D, since if you use d.4D after my 4D comes out, then you can 4D my 4D, and you can get a decent 4D combo, by using 4D's invuln to 4D my 4D... I think I just went cross-eyed. On my wakeup, just throw out 2B, or if you're positive I wont try to roll, then you can run a little deeper and attempt a meaty grab, both of which will beat 4D easily, and in the corner get you some good damage.

I'm bringing back championship matches, because it's fun, and a good excuse to play like there's something on the line even though it's not a tournament or a money match. I'm changing the rules a bit from last time though. first off I'm retiring the youtube title, we never fucking did anything with it. secondly, I'm lifting the limitations of the teams title, so any team can compete for it, even if they already hold our top title. the people who held these titles back when we last did this are still champions, and yes I kept a record. I'm also doing what should have been done before, Axis, our next Ft10 will be for my GDLK title, may the best man win.

You'll get there man, just keep at it :3

I disagree so hard that I unintentionally summon a demon from another dimension, which proceeds to wreck my room until I have nothing left but my soul.

LunaKage Vs. Axis Weekly First To 10s. 1/3/2014 Week 01. (Noel Vs. Azrael) Luna Wins 10-8 Started off going even with two straight wins each, afterwards Axis secured a convincing lead with 3 more wins straight, making the score 5-2, after catching up with 3 straight wins of my own, we went even until we both had 8 wins, I took the last two to win the set.
