ok so yeah, I figured out how to bait pretty much everything with Noel's new corner oki. I'll explain it a bit here, but I want to do a video about it in the future. after a corner combo, use 22B until you are about 2 or 3 character lengths away from your opponent. At this point, stop and use 6D. Here's the possible choices you can make: 6D > d.5A > d.6B (6D and d.5A will whiff on neutral tech, and your opponent will have to block overhead. This will also beat tech rolls, and no techs, allowing for a combo follow up) 6D > d.5A > d.6D (same as above, only a low, this however will not combo on no techs and forward rollers, though it will still hit them, the d.6D will just drop the combo) 6D > d.5A > d.4D (Beats DP attempts, follow up with d.2D > d.6B > 236D to follow up for a combo) 6D > d.6A (6D whiffs, but d.6A will hit meaty, it beats attempts to poke on wakeup, and will catch jumpers.) 6D > d.5A > d.2D (Beats grabs, including Tager's Command Grab Reversals, even 720) 6D > d.5A > Spring Raid (Beats everything, but punishable on block, can only combo if the Spring Raid counter hits, or if you RC the spring raid, this is never really a good idea, since even if you CH with spring raid, the resulting combo wont be too impressive, add to that how punishable it is on block, it's just not the best idea.)

hey guys, just so you know, I plan on going ham on the first post of this thread as soon as I get my next day off. with cp coming out, working all this week, then youmacon, then working afterwards, its been and is going to be a busy couple of weeks for me. so once my schedule gets back to normal, this thread is gonna be great, and I promise you that. in the mean time, continue to post combos in this thread as you find them, its a big help to the Noel community and myself personally, because without you normal members, us mods would just be guys with bigger avatars. Just ask Skye lol

hey man don't feel bad, even veterans like me have similar issues. I'm fine with chamber shot and all that, but I still sometimes use CSE confirms that mess up my whole combo, which COULD HAVE BEEN 4K. it just takes time.

the jp noel player Kou-Vermillion (like that name drop I just did?) informed me on twitter that you can oki Amane by using j.D d.5C d.6A d.5C d.5A 22B as an ender. I haven't tested it yet but I have no reason to doubt him. also a better midscreen confirm off of tk rb would be to replace Lith's 22B > 66 > 2B with 22C~66 > 6C. I'd normally notate the whole combo but typing on a phone is hell for combo notation.

1. moving in... well for starters, Noel is tied for the fastest run speed in the game. when using jump ins, be careful, because Noel has some of the worst air normals, but when used right, they can get you great damage, both midscreen and corner. 2. 3C can combo into 22C, which pops them up. dash cancel the 22C to combo into 5B into a full combo. 3. Noel was severely weakened as far as pressure escape tools. 4D beats all mid attacks, but it loses to lows and air attacks. instant block 5A at the right time is really effective though.

sadly, that combo ender doesn't work on Amane, maybe even others, we need to find a remedy for that.

fenrir fenrir is super easy. and I figured out 2BB, it really hasn't changed at all lol. I figured out some great oki, its been in jp vids, but I may make a vid to explain it.

for a drive ender into oki I've had success with: j.D d.6A d.5C 22B or j.D d.2D d.6A d.5C 22B doesn't work on Amane though, looks like he can't get oki'd without the juggled 6B

only certain characters can get hit by d.4D > d.6C your best bet for a standard drive confirm is to force crouch with d.6B first.

A bit of sad news... 2B doesn't gatling into itself twice anymore. 2C doesn't combo into 3C on crouching hit. d.5C doesn't combo into d.6C on standing without fatal. 6B isn't jump cancelable on hit anymore (not a big deal, but an interesting change) Fuck Amane's hitbox. Now for some good news: Corner Fatal j.4D > d.6C > 214A > 2B > 6C > j.236C > 5A > 5C > sj.C > j.D > d.4D > d.2D > d.6B > 236D > 6C(2) > j.OD > Fenrir > Fenrir works, and does 7k. Corner CH 236C > 5C > sj.C > j.D > d.4D > d.2D > d.6B > d.4D > 214D > 66 > 2B > 6C > 4D > 236D > 66C(2) > j.OD > Fenrir > Fenrir also works, and does 6.7k Careful with double Fenrir on Amane though, because as I've said, fuck his hitbox.

my goal is to find long combos. it probably needs a bunch of d 6C, and two OD fenrirs.

well, those could be super shows :P I mean, due to big tournaments, who wants to go to a ranbat? For those specific times, we just wont have a ranbat that month. That's how I would do it, since I know the turnout would probably be bad those months regardless.
