1) Curse is not harder to block. Overheads are the exact same speed. Just jump back and barrier block. By the time we get you on the ground and get through your defense, curse is over. 2) 5k isn't that great when you consider Bang does 3k off any hit. Hazama does 2.5K safely, Litchi does 3.5+k with fantastic oki. Plus, curse is hard to get AND you need to get past their defense. 3) Arakune's heat gain outside of curse is terrible. You see the dilema of relying on a 50% Heat Super to get us curse when we can't get the heat in the first place. 4) You have to remember that by the time we get 50% Heat, the curse gauge will be filled up a bit anyway. So it's rarely going to give us a total of 100% curse. Also, the Laser Super gives 80% curse anyway, and that's a reversal. So it isn't really that great. -

Glad you would still main him. But I sure won't. Good thing I've been learning Jin. How is the new 6B move useful in any way? It's one frame quicker than 5A but has much longer recovery and less range. -

And he'll have to spend the whole game blocking. Since he has no good normals. Seriously, I could criticise every one of his normals. Against Ragna, we're dead on the ground, because even if we block all of their mixup, we'd have no tools to escape further pressure, and none of our normals are good ground punishers. All pretty much any character has to do is Dash 2A and there won't be a thing we can do against it. Attack, Backdash, jump, it doesn't matter. It's obvious Arcs are just catering to scrubs who can't block in these loketests. Look at making 6A an even more punishable and slow overhead. I predict in the final version, Arakune will only be moderatly nerfed, because Arcs will realise that you cannot actually make a game based on what semi-competitive idiots think. -
Is there a good systematic order for summoning bugs to keep the opponent locked down? Usually if they're jumping backwards, I backdash, spam all 4bugs then 44 teleport to mixup, but then I don't have anything to keep them on the ground with. *sigh* I miss the old b bug.

Any idea if F o G will give curse on block. To be honest though, I don't think it's that great of a buff, we need the meter for the laser super to make them respect Arakune. -

SJ, there's a huge difference between changing a character's gameplay mechanics and just severely nerfing a character. We aren't going to get a new loop out of this. FFS, if you're half-competent, you can jump away and block and worse case scenario, you get locked down and eat around 5.5k. And that's against a very good Ara. I get less than that. The point is, if you play against Ara like Spirit juice does, running through clouds into the corner and staying on the ground trying to block his mixup, you're gonna get whooped. Now, without even taking the new propation increase into consideration, the loop will probably do 3.5k as opposed to 5.5k. Less than a Belial edge combo. Ontop of that, Ara is weaker precurse, so ontop of that, it's harder to get curse. They should of nerfed curse or precurse a lot. Not both.

I always thought turtling was being very defensive, punishing approaches by the opponent. Kinda like Hazama or Rachel.

FFS, the average damage by a curse loop is 5.5k. Based on jumping back and blocking. Bang does 3k combos that can be hitconfirmed off anything. Litchi has long 4k combos with amazing Oki. Hazama has extremely safe high meter gain 2.5k with a reversal that does 4.5k. Arakune is not high tier for so many reasons. Learn to block and discuss how Jin is win.
