There was a Valk in recent vids trying to do H j.214b>5d>j.236a and missing it in vids. He hit it on other chars though so it might be a hitbox thing.
-
Nah, I meant the damage mainly. I don't know why everyone is surprised by valk damage when everyone in a/s tier does the same pretty much. Outside of like bang anyway. EDIT: Nvm, thought people on the comments were complaining about valk damage for some reason. But just actually watched the vid. Also, acho was Tao and purple makoto fest lol. One Tsubaki at the end! And what a Tsubaki. That dude was all over Lamda. Combo at the buzzer to win it was hot too.
-
That's like everyone in A tier or up though lol. =P

I think you can fit in a [w] 236a before the 236b in your bolded version. Think you can also go full relaunch combo as well if you have wolf meter but you did say you don't like using a lot of meter.
-
He probably didn't combo after the purple air throws because he would have gotten maybe 1 extra hit thanks to combo proration. In that situation it makes sense to just charge. I believe the original change to her throw, which stuck was that you needed 236d to combo after midscreen ground throw.
-
Is the same move proration on 6cc gone? Nori did it like 3 times in one combo lol. Also, Tsubaki seems to get ~4k off pretty much any 2 charge combo which is nice. Still haven't seen Install yet and her max damage potential seems lower until I do. Her combos all look super sick, can't wait to use those on people.

Really like the Haku, Pink Valk, Lamda, and Litchi from the Hyougo vids. Very aggressive good play.
-
Those A-cho vids were quite awesome. Pretty much all good matches.

5b>nothing, 2aaaaaa, and 5aaaa are your safe blockstrings. 2d is best after 5c or 5cc but you can use it after 5b, 5bb, 2b, or 2bb for mind games even if it's technically worse than just letting the move finish. Unfortunately Tsubaki gets worse the less your opponents respect you and you don't really have any way to force respect without a bunch of charges and meter. So enjoy getting reversaled out of everything against anyone decent.

Wait for Orion Elite's stuff from newest NCI I'd guess as he's like the only person in US that's gone to an offline tourney with him afaik. Though I might next tourney. For JP, just go through vid thread and look for sendatu or shadow valk listings.

Also, for baiting AAs when trying to get in, if you still have a jump left dj.d>j.214x is golden if you see the AA come out. If you get the CH just land and do [w] 5b>236b>etc. If you land the fuzzy guard [w] dj.b I think you can 3c>j.a>land>etc off it but you pretty much have to already be doing it.
-
Lol DarkWall, you don't have to respond to everyone every time somebody says Valk is ridiculous. I'd hope by now that people see he was fairly meh in CS1 overall so I just figure people are joking about him being 'broken'.
-
Can technically just block if you think they are going to dp. Most people aren't going to react to transforming with 5d so they will generally just stick out the jab or whatever, especially if you toss some late wolf cancels. Funny thing also is doing the fuzzy guard [w] 5c>j.b>dj.b into either j.214a or b, I forget which. It looks like it lands you on the other side of them if blocked but you actually stay on the side you started on.
-
I really should stop playing Tsubaki till CS2 lol. Shoutouts to not playing games though! NorCal style. Good shit to sims for getting that money.
-
Astral Bang is ridiculous. FT's Haku was also probably the best Haku I've seen so far.
-
He meant check the venue for internet in order to stream, though the answer to your question is in the last like 2 pages. First choice venue is not an option so this is second choice.
-
God damn Kogatan's mixups were ridiculous sometimes. Loved the fuzzy guard j.2c>dj.2c and the airdash j.d that crossed up during her unfreezing. Some of the litchi stuff was sweet too, especially the combo off that corner Daish hit that kept him in the corner.
-
Most of his combos are still similar so I wouldn't worry about the transition too much. For that combo try just waiting a sec and using 5cd instead.

Omg that PSR-1 dude is godly. Another Tsubaki to watch for besides Shachou.

[CS1-CSE] Tsubaki Self-Improvement and Critique Thread

I don't know if anyone really knows how to deal with magnetism as Tsu so don't feel bad. If he's doing super obvious 5d you can 623a it on reaction I think. Sometimes toss 6c or 3c behind your 5b in case of CH and just to mix up. If he blocks either you're safe with a JC. You covered most of the other stuff already. I know in the first match you should have been anti-airing way more. He was super aggressive with his jump ins and you need to make him second guess. Once he starts empty jumping, go for air throws. Also, when you backdash and get a ton of distance, charge meter with 2d. Mix 22c in off 5b also so later it is harder to react to your 5b>22[d] setups. -
Honnou tells everyone everything they can do in every matchup. That's why he's Professor GG! =P
-
Ya, the HOS Inoue. He was like the only early successful Tsubaki besides Konan but went back to ara or lamda.
-
She can carry still, but she can't really do it off staff hits so far so she has to take the risk of dropping staff. @Jourdal Is inuo Inoue? Wasn't really sure. And ya, haven't seen Ebi yet. MilliaBaki from NSB was listed as Shachou I think.
-
Nice to see Konan trying out Tsubaki again. Now we just need Inoue back and we'll have the 2 original good Tsubakis plus some of the new ones.
