  1. Her mechanics are fine as long as 2 or so charges are relatively easy to get.

  3. I think some guys by Sac were trying to organize a tourney that day, but not sure if they were including GG in that. Also, won't be able to make it to SJSU, family is doing Thanksgiving shit.
  4. Not sure if we could get 50 into shadowbrooke unless they have like no other people there or if they have a spot besides the main spot out front that I didn't see when I was there. I know they do sf4 tournies biweekly though so maybe.

  6. Definitely sticking with Tsubaki till I see Kokonoe or maybe Jubei playable. Just gotta make it to the tournies instead of getting sick or having work. Your first match was amazing though!
  7. Haha, like I told Spirit, I played Litchi at the request of a friend cause he always gives me shit about switching from her to Tsubaki lol. I would have done just as well with Tsu anyway since Spirit and Coopa were the only real challenges there anyhow. I came pretty close to top 8 at the big NCI and wasn't even doing install shit or half the mixups I knew (I have a problem using training mode knowledge in tournies lol). Just haven't been able to hit another offline tourney lately. =(
  8. Meh, I only really get to play at NCI when I'm able to go so I admit I don't have much a reason to practice or anything. If I could make it to the random gatherings that happen I'd probably play more than once a month lol. Early work and being in the north bay keep me from traveling much sadly. Only person that is a challenge around me is Sims. =(
  9. Meh, I think you guys sleep on Tsubaki a bit too much. Even atm. Doesn't really matter much anymore since the patch is coming, but I firmly believe she can win a tourney in the US.
  10. Be more careful of dog bite and don't spam D everywhere because if you give Valk free combos he will make them hurt a lot.

  13. Where is roseville? By Sac? As for GG, most of the better players seem to go to Rod's or stuff like that when we have decent notice. I don't know if anyone in Cali plays that much anymore so it's pretty much just what we used to have against what socal used to have and socal always had the larger scene.

  17. Wouldn't mind easier to punish forward rolls, less distance gained on back rolls, a removal of the quick-getup, and having to decide quicker. Or a combination of some of those things. Removing the ability to go through people with forward roll would remove practically all its usage though imo.
  18. D DD is mostly a wake up thing at low charges imo. Wakeup is where A DP ends up trading all day thanks to meatys. It's also kind of nice against gadget finger iirc. I believe it hits him out of A Sledge where DP would get you hit for 4k+. Either way it was extremely situational but still something that had some use that we lost. Now it will literally never be used unless you have 100 meter against Tager and land a mugen starter. j.236d is already relegated to combo filler for like 1 combo, not sure why they turned D DD into it also.
  19. Agree with SJ. They need to make throws easier to land if they want it to prorate. Also, not sure what all the hate for the tech system is for. I think the only thing I really don't like about it is back rolling midscreen because of the stage size and how some characters can completely negate the system sometimes. You can still meaty overhead somebody with the neutral teching which is pretty easy to see. (It's like 30+f I think.) It's a different type of 'oki' than GG since you are more removing options than just going for free mixups, but this game isn't GG.

  21. That's actually pretty nice. Improves his defensive game a bit. Though I'm not sure on the exact frame data for the autoguard on it or the proration.
  22. Rofl, p2 gold burst 110? That'd make for an interesting offensive choice for bursts. Big FC or CH>gold burst>big damage.
  23. Very likely that the patch that allows you to play against platinum online would be the patch that includes balance changes. I'd really lose a lot of faith if they charged for the balance patch after we bought the dlc chars as the balance patch is a much more mandatory thing.

  25. I really doubt they'll let you combo off the instant overhead j.c. That would be retarded. It probably means you can combo from hitting them higher than now while jumping in.
