Honestly that seems like the best way. Just record Ragna doing dash 6b, dash 2b, or dash throw and stand next to him with yourself in the corner. That's about as little notice for a green throw as you'll get and should help teching them on reaction. -
Have results been posted yet? Just wanted to see who got what outside of GG lol.

Another chime in to say that people had fun and these suggestions aren't meant as insults or telling you you did badly, just trying to see things improve. As far as 1-day vs 2-day I don't know if you could have run every game that was listed on the schedule in one day, especially not planning for Norcal Time. If people want 1 day for these bigger events than ya, games are going to have to be cut. Seems like BB, GG, KOF (assuming gc+sta come) would be the main games with SG/P4A joining in and all subject to change based on attendance. Personally, the only problems I had were BB signups. I swear signups were listed as 10am-12pm but I can't find it now so guess that was my bad. The arcade didn't really 'open' until 12pm which seems like an odd time to end signups in any case. Either way, just start DQing people even if it leads to 1 or 2 lower attendance NCIs. People need to show up on time or have somebody pay for them. That's really on the community though and all you can do as TO is enforce your schedule. Was still a fun tourney even with any mishaps on the way and there is always learning to be done. Maybe for future SNCI events you can make a thread for it seperately if there is a poll to be done. This thread could basically be taken off sticky and be like any other weekly/monthly thread and then you could just sticky the SNCI thread and have all/the majority of SNCI format or whatever discussion there. This thread isn't that great for that stuff since it moves fast enough that info given months in advance will be buried.

Btw, did any of non-top4 GG get recorded? I know Fred had 2 of the setups hooked to computers for that big screen display but wasn't sure if footage was actually recorded.

If you hit a corner combo and only have like 2-3k ignis left, an RC ignis regen combo is a great use of tension. Generally CA or punchy is best though imo. Also I definitely agree that he should simply take 4k-4.5k and get a good oki option rather than stuff like 6-7k 632146d combos unless it will kill. We could probably just use the video thread for links tbh. It's fairly up to date and all like 4 of the main Relius players are good.

Thanks Gamecenter, Myung, and all the TOs for the hard work in making SNCI possible and thanks Sims for the ride home and saving me from caltrain+bart.

Saving your replays is a good start. That way you can watch over them later and find why you lost or won a particular match. -

Well, the complaints about the combo system are less a balance question and more about making the game more interesting to get into or watch. Though I'll be honest and say that shorter combos probably won't make anyone who isn't already playing pick it up. -
If you have 50 meter you can RC 236c and do dash 5b into a variety of things. If you are close enough you can do 5b>6b>6c>214a>dash 6b>air combo. At max range without meter or ignis out though you are pretty much forced to go with 236c>214a. Even that won't hit at actual max 5b range against most of the cast though. Probably best off just summoning Ignis if you get a truly max range 5b hit.

Oh, I never really researched FC combos. Mostly cause I use 5c to punish. 5c starter with my corner damage combo is like 5.5k no heat so meh. Now I'm wondering if FC 6c combos into 214c though.

This. Pretty much every complaint I hear about BB's speed is combo length. If they shortened the majority of longer/corner combos while keeping similar damage somehow it would go a long way to making it feel faster. Especially some of the bigger offenders such as Litchi (who also tends to do less damage for her combo time) and Noel. This could stifle combo creativity a bit though but that isn't AS big a deal outside combo videos since you generally have a few go to combos in tournies anyway. -
For corner: Your TK j.236c combo. starter>236c>214a>dash 5c(2)>6b>j.c>j.236c>j.214a>fall j.c>land 2c>6c>4d>3c I use this instead of the TK combo if I get a good starter since it uses 1 more ignis meter and does a decent amount more damage. starter>236c>214a>dash 5c(1)>6b>j.c>j.8d>dj.c>j.236c>j.214b>land 5c(2)>4d>3c If I'm just going for damage. I usually go for the throw>5b>2c>6c>etc combo when I get a throw. Also, if I'm doing a punish combo I usually just start with 5c(2). You still get 100 P1, but it saves the option to use 6c without hitting repeat proration later. So something like 5c(2)>6b>6c>214a>dash 6b>etc midscreen. Or a corner combo that uses 2c>6c>4d.

Bang has Kushrenada's Lynchpin. Tsubaki has Izayoi which I think gives her the power of order essentially iirc. Haz is hax. Litchi has her jet li the one powers iirc. Makoto seems to have something in particular he's interested in. I think it is just a particularly strong soul or container. My only explanations for why circles would appear under those particular characters IF the seals matter at all.

I keep forgetting to try letting somebody fall from 4d in the corner into me as I led ley to see where it puts them or the restrictions on it.

I find it easier to wait a sec before hitting the 6d personally, but ya, they are pretty easy. I gotta remember to add the 6b myself though. Keep forgetting that.

You can low IAD midscreen last I checked. Yeah, I meant it can be disrespected for free rather than getting blocked. Doesn't seem like he could do this easily in this specific considering you unsummon Ignis though. I rather meant you get j.bc instead of just j.b land. I suppose that could be better or worse though. Didn't say it was bad, just that seemed like the only plus side to me for using this technique over low IAD. You're right about the ability to JC j.b though so there's some merit there.

That feels way too obvious. Like even more than j.d>normal as Tsubaki and nobody even tries that. Also, wouldn't you just do low airdash instead of j.dx2 since that gives you a j.c also and either option doesn't change whether Ignis is out or not. (Which would be the best part about single j.d is being able to put ignis away for the start of mixup/combo.)

When fighting somebody with reversals you sometimes just block when you give them an opening in your trap strings. Tager is special but just about every character has to fight him a bit differently anyway. Most reversals are very unsafe unless they spend 50 meter. When CAing, just try not to do it on a jump cancelable move so that if they are going to bait it, they have to go out of their way. For what to do after, just get out of the corner and back to neutral in general or try to put some pressure of your own on them. Can RC 236c midscreen to unsummon ignis, same thing in the corner, midscreen to dash into a combo for extra damage and/or carry, or even RC something like 6a or 3c into another high or low if you really need to hti somebody.
