I like her character design, color schemes, and she has super trolling ability thanks to her astral heat. Plus litchi's combos are even longer than in CT. -_-
-
Wish her tk air moves were overhead. Prolly the thing I dislike most about her (and melty/ssf4) lol.
-
Also cannot go anymore. Work actually wanted me there full time today. =( =(

In the past, scheduling is usually handed out on fridays. Not sure if they've gotten better about that. Could check around on their forums.

BROKENTIER - Clothing for virtual punchy game players

May as well just ask how many people own a copy of XX. lol -
I'll be there along with some other gg/bb playing friends. Will probably be in the game room most of the time too lol. Hopefully they have GG in the game room, otherwise room party time.

Sims is gonna laugh so hard when I tell him Anji is right below Slayer in tier.

1,3,5 in that order. -
Not really sure if people get yelled at but I see people sleeping in the chairs all the time late at night. I know you can't sleep in the movie rooms though. Fanime forums aren't awful, especially if you figure you aren't going to be using your specific room for much more than sleep/shower/storage.
-
Could always sleep on the big comfy chairs in the lobbies, hang out all day in gaming room to try and find somebody from DL you recognize and bum a shower in their room lol. (The chair thing is serious btw, hella people do that and they are pretty soft.)
-
Ugh, wtb better execution during the actual tourneys lol. GGs to all. Now off to learn to not get thrown.
-
Could always check on the fanime boards. Pretty sure they have a forum specifically for finding people. Assuming you can't find anyone here.

You can take a lot of from BB to GG. A lot of the movement mechanics are similar, combo styles are similar though generally quite a bit harder in GG, and a similar playstyle. I'd say the main things you need to learn to switch: Defense. Okizeme is ridiculously strong in GG for many characters. Mixup game in general is much harder to block. Throws (one of the biggest things to get used to) are very strong and much, much harder to break. And since a lot of characters will put you back into a guessing situation if you fuck up, it magnifies the need for good defense. IBing also isn't as strong as in BB (slash back is more like BB IB, but 2 frames instead of 8 I believe.) Teching is also much different. Execution. FRCs are the first thing you'll probably have trouble with here, and you really do need to know most, if not all, of them for your character. Most BNBs in GG also have tighter timing or have more charatcer-specific versions than BB BNBs. Screwing up your combo also means you probably lost another okizeme situation and cost you damage. This happening is worse in GG since okizeme is stronger and damage is also usually quite a bit higher. (To put it in perspective, Anji gets like 40% off just about everything and that is considered B rated average damage.) Options. There are generally a lot more things that can be done or that can happen at any given point. Many more combo options and such. The game mechanics allow quite a bit more freedom in GG imo. Especially FRCs, which can often turn a special move's purpose into something completely different. (Things like Restive Rolling FRC, Divine Blade FRC, and such all allow for quite a bit of movement options as an example.)

Every character is winnable (especially in america) with effort put in. I think ABA is upper-mid or mid so she's fine tier wise. Think she generally goes for a combo ending in command throw-thingy to get to moroha and then does BIG DAMAGE. Check ABA char forums and vids for more really.

Psh, I'll troll with her once console comes out. =P

There is a jack in the box like 5minutes from the con for cheap eats. (Assuming it hasn't moved in 3 yrs.) Wasn't planning on going but maybe I will if I can stay with norcal crew. Guess I'll have to check dates and such now. -_-
-
I'd definately show for ggac/bb and maybe even mb if we get a date nailed down a few weeks in advance.
-
?? Everything I've seen from vids combo-wise is the same BNB (itsuuC with a slight variation) or much easier midscreen riichi combos (5b,2c,itsuuA,etc was there in CT). You get mist cancel which isn't exactly hard to use and use staff super instead of kokushi. Is there anything major I'm missing?
-
Already met Ginseng and he showed me some stuff, I just decided to practice Gear instead of do 1 hour drives and pay 75 cents a game to practice BB. Though I want to start regularly going on wednesdays. Litchi is just CT-litchi with easy riichi combos and ridiculous damage anyway. =P I already play a pretty mean CT Litchi (GGJ might remember) which is why I said I'd just use her if I went.
-
I might try and make the 2v2, but I'd probably just play CT-style Litchi with new combos since I have been devoting time to GG instead of spending hella money learning CS/Tsubaki.
-
Ugh, sorry for my shitty tourney execution. Kinda sad there wasn't a 2v2 to redeem myself. GGs to all. Thanks to the guys who provided space and set shit up.
-
I can bring a copy of GGAC.
-
Hype will be fine for the game once it hits console, just like when CT hit consoles and got 190 or whatever evo people for a side tourney. Except this time the game might be enjoyable to play competitively later.
