  1. Yep! I saw it in an a-cho vid a while back, but whoever it was dropped the followup Will verify that you can still combo out of it. 6d -> Mugen -> Zantetsu (2) -> kishuu -> 5c -> stuff works. It looks like you can only get about 7k ish though because of the parry proration...
  2. Nope. You have to have heat for an RC to do anything with j.D (which admittedly looks cool, but yeah). Also about advantage: when I look at it on the PSP version there is significant time that you are reset before they tech, so it seems at least you could go into pressure if you do use it. I tested a very high j.D (sj + dj) and the result was the same. They can't tech until they hit the ground.
  3. oh no nobody is talking here at all post more i need things to read
  4. On a semi related note, I could've swore there's some setup (not off parries) where you can do 2 6as (as in like 6a 5a 6a), but it may have been 5a 6a 5a instead that I'm thinking of..
  5. Does not work, 6a doesn't have enough untech time. 6a -> 5b doesn't even work off 5d.
  6. The hotaru combo is difficult in and of itself. He could easily have simply dropped it, though I am interested in knowing if it works or not/what kind of effect it has on the total damage if it does.
  7. Parries prorate too much for high-meter combos. Look for magatama-efficient ones instead to capitalize on the fact that parries grant a star.
  8. don't worry grandpa i will be your legs s..sometimes
  9. oh bullocks fixed
  10. it tenchi http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNvQSP9--iY#t=27m55s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNvQSP9--iY#t=38m37s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNvQSP9--iY#t=44m28s 46:05 is amusing and interesting at the same time. Has anyone else noticed someone try to use Gurren instead of Kishuu for that combo?
  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wsx_yr4VP5M#t=4m09s this is it
  12. I've been posting up any and all jap Haku stuff I found in the CS2 video posting thread that's on youtube, but I only started doing so recently. You might want to dig through the thread up to that point.

  15. It's mixed. Most of the time he will get poor damage midscreen, but there are scenarios where you can get high damage, several of which seem to be with hotaru. There's also been vids of Hakus comboing off Tsubaki midscreen even with the huge slide. It seemed like in most cases any time he goes for big damage midscreen it ends in the corner because of all the huge launch/slide stuff.
  16. He's listed a lot lower in the tier list relative to the other characters compared to CS1, but the tiers in CS2 are a lot tighter than CS1 tiers were. Several lists I saw had Haku as one of the worst characters. I'm personally not at all concerned about it, really.
  17. He's kind of sameish, if not a little worse (compared to CS1). No gross damage off j.D, parries prorate more, midscreen damage isn't as good per star without 5C starter. Still really big corner carry and his corner damage I believe is a bit higher. Gurren being +1 on block and late gatlings to some of his normals like 2a/5a/2b/5b is pretty nice for pressure and the new kishuu is sexy. A lot of the new combos look waaay more fun than what we have right now.
  18. More Honkumen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpEes84Qh3s#t=5m21s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aa8zEsKNqg#t=24m50s Kakyuu again I wish I could pretend to be CS2 Haku. CS1 kishuu obstructs it tho
  19. PRFARMY's Haku is in several of the recent Nishi Nippori 2on2 vids! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0xRhB4q_34#t=0m12s vs. Lambda http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0xRhB4q_34#t=4m51s vs. Carl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jE8HoagYJR0#t=11m01s vs. Hazama http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3__TeuFWCQg#t=0m18s vs. Makoto http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3hC_Ba2JRI#t=0m19s vs. Tsubaki http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3hC_Ba2JRI#t=7m55s vs. Litchi Tenchi and another Haku who's name I can't read are still running a-cho (timestamps in the comments): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8y1Z-VWyW9s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0evXvofh9-k
  20. As in 3c 2c 214a instead of 3c 2b 214a? I can't seem to get that to work in any scenario. Actually, scratch that, I got it to work on a 3c air CH.. :p And yeah, seconding that "options by stars" sounds more fitting than by combo starter.
  21. To comment on your combo problem in specific: practice the combos off various starters if you can't hit confirm them in a real match. This is because the muscle memory isn't there and you haven't practiced it at all. Example: Haku's enma bnbs can start off 5c, and many people will instinctively practice it off 5c because it has good proration. However, 5c is slow and hits mid; it is not the most common combo starter you are going to get. Instead of practicing 5c -> enma, I would instead do a couple of different things: 5b (a much faster poke than 5c) -> enma 2b (low) -> renka -> enma renka (also a low) -> enma Figuring out what you need to do to combo off other situations such as air-to-ground is also important. j.b -> 5b -> enma works for haku. j2c -> 5b -> enma works. j2c -> 5c -> enma also works, but the j2c needs to be very low to the ground or it must be counterhit or the 5c won't hit because it is too slow. etc. Part of this comes from knowing what pokes you use in your neutral (or pressure) game to fish for damage. Basically just know what your options are and practice those starters for those options. If you do this a lot, at the very least utilizing your combos during a real match should come a little easier. This way when you see that you've landed a hit for something, if you've practiced how to combo out of that hit, you will react significantly faster because your hands will remember it. Just try to focus, but don't make yourself nervous!
  22. They said CS2 was going to be either free or stupid cheap on consoles, so my assumption has always been that it's backburner'd so they can cash in on the arcade/handhelds first. Dunno their actual intentions though, personal speculation! Generally yes, play keepaway--especially if you have a life lead. Can't do much with no meter. (This belongs in the general thread, tho) This was posted two pages back when we were actually talking about that. <_>
  23. he also doesn't play bb and has a pretty decent jin!!!!
  24. You can do just about nothing with 6B. No gatlings, can't be special or rapid cancelled. They buffed its damage a little in CS2, but it's still a gimmick (as far as I know). The only thing it cancels into are ground parries, but that doesn't help on hit and should probably be used sparingly on block since it's very unsafe.
  25. hahaha well apparently the japanese think the tradeoff makes her S i don't know noel though so whatevs!!
