  1. I could do this for you. I might not be available at the same time as you due to timezones, but if you make a spectator slot and let me know when you're ready to be recorded, I'll try my best to get on.
  2. I see a good future for the Zepp Museum.
  3. Exposed.
  4. I know, right? :3
  5. Lambda needs that palette~
  6. I didn't manage to watch all your matches, but here's what I got: Your combos and execution are fine for the most part, but I noticed you dropped TK Cresent in a lot of places. You may want to practice getting more consistent with the input. You don't use TK Cresent mix-up. I'm guessing that this is because you're not confident with the input judging from the dropped combos involving it but, if you can get used to using it, it's a really useful skill to have. When you get a hit with 5C, try and confirm it into 3C > 236D instead of 6C > 236D. Using 3C gives you better oki that most characters can't escape from and gives you better mix-up potential (IAD > j.B, Cresent Saber cancels, etc.). It's also better for corner combos since 6C has repeat proration. You do some strange confirms at times too. I'm not sure why you do things like this since you seem to know your combos, but just be aware of it so you can figure out how you can fix this. Your zoning isn't too bad, but it could use some work. Make sure you're always aware of the space between you and your opponents and what your best options are (you used 6D twice when your opponent was running towards you for example). You seem to have a good understanding of the character though, so hopefully you can use this to just polish up your play a bit.
  7. Yeah, pretty much. But as Toan said, player tendencies are an equally important part to consider too. Noel, for example, has a projectile that can snipe you from long range while you're trying to keep her away with swords, which would make zoning with D seem like a bad idea. However, if you know you're opponent hasn't been using it all match then it might be a good idea to use your drive anyway. So basically, keeping a good distance, trying to get inside your opponent's head and being aware of both their options and yours are the key things to be thinking about when using drives to zone.
  8. Good stuff.
  9. This would be perfect. If you can get your parts before the US release of Extend (I want to have our video come out at or around the release date) and you're up for it, I'd appreciate your help. No worries if you can't make it by then though. Maybe, but Hauppauges are pretty good too so I'll be asking for your help instead if Ryuu can't record for us.
  10. Moved the discussion to the QnA thread. Also, does anyone here have any HD recording equipment? I'm planning on getting some stuff together for an Extend guide video (like the one planned for CS2) and I could record with my Roxio, but some better quality wouldn't hurt.
  11. Like Ryuu said, it definitely depends on the situation and the character you're playing against, but in general it is a good idea. Even if you guess wrong and your opponent doesn't (air)dash in, forcing them to predict where your swords might come from next and keeping them wary of your options is a good zoning tool in itself.
  12. You could try, but you'd have to beat the unbearable lag before you teach me anything.
  13. All hitboxes are laughable in the face of Fenrir: Yuup.
  14. Tager and his fat ass would still get hit. :3
  15. Thread title says it all. Have any queries you'd like cleared up about Lambda, post it here and we'll do what we can to help. Toan edit: Let's toss this chart here to make it easier to locate. It deals with corner 3C->236B follow-ups and the midscreen 236C->236D link.
  16. This thread is for posting videos of your Lambda play in order to have them critiqued by fellow Lambda players and have them advise you on what you should work on to help you improve and take your game to the next level. For those who can't upload videos themselves, I can record matches matches that have been saved onto the D-Card on both XBL and PSN. Send me a message on DL or either system if this needs to be done. Also, please remember that this thread is open to players of all experience levels and to be constructive with your criticisms.
  17. Thanks, you guys. I'm sure I can speak for Toan as well when I say we'll do our best to keep these forums running smoothly. Cresent cancel into run-up grab is another one of my favourite mix-up tricks. And because I don't use it very often, it almost always works.
  18. 236C > Micro-dash 236D. You can see him do it here. I'm guessing due to spacing/hitboxes, a normal 236D won't work on the entire cast.
  19. The P2 on j.C has also changed from 86 -> 85 too and I can't see any data on j.B either so we don't know whether that's changed or not. Then again, the differences are quite minor so maybe it could still work..
  20. Good job, Emjay. Even though you haven't tried to optimise anything yet, this stuff looks promising. I can't wait for us all to hit the lab with her and get her best stuff down~ I have a feeling that this won't work. Maybe off of a FC Gravity Seed, but even then I'm not sure.
  21. That's interesting. I wasn't aware 214B/C > 236C connected. Also, I noticed that you didn't go for 6C > 236C > db 4B > 2DD > Aerial D combo as your ender. Does that ender not work in your combo?
  22. You're right about micro-dashing and stagger pressure is using strings with small gaps in it (e.g. 5A > 5A > 665A) that is mainly used as frame traps and extending pressure. Pressuring opponents in general really depends on what character you're facing (do they have a DP/good range/720s) as well as your opponent (are they aggressive/passive/etc.), so you'll want to be using a mix of staggered 2/5As, 5B/C for spacing and gimmicks like j.4D and cross-up 2D on crouchers depending on the situation.
  23. Well considering the range of 5A, you'll more than likely be dashing in before you use it anyway (especially if you're using stagger pressure). At any rate, [5A >] 6A > 6C should work without forward momentum and anything that leads into 3C won't need it either.
  24. You need to be at point blank for that to work. Some running momentum (i.e. 665A > 5A > 6A > 6C) makes it easier to connect too.
  25. A lot of the proration values on Lambda's moves have been changed, so even if it works in CS2 it might not work in Extend. We'll just have to do a lot of testing to see what does/doesn't work before we get our hands on more complete information.
