Blue beat combo. Well usually if an opponent emergency techs 3C > 236D they'll get caught in Sickle oki, so I think he just did that to show you how to combo off that if someone decides not to tech.

I doubt that would work since the repeat proration on Cavalier wrecks our combos now. If you could adjust it so you only have to use one Cavalier, then you could probably get it to work though. Also, I'm not sure if 3C(CH) > 236C works, but I know 3C(CH) > 236D > 236C does.

Oh, my bad. I should've been clearer there. What I meant to say is that our 6C cancel window has been reduced as well so we won't be able to cancel as late as we did in CS2, which'll mean that we'll probably run into the same purple grab problem as CS2 if we cancel too late. Also, if the recovery on 6C isn't any better, then it'll be even more dangerous going in with a 6C as it'll be easier for our opponents to hit us out of it with the decrease in level to our C moves.

Not necessarily. The decrease in level means that our opponents will recover faster after a 6C, but that doesn't mean we'll recover any faster. If the recovery on 6C stays the same as it is in CS2 with the level decrease, it'll technically be even harder to land since there's an increased chance of us being poked out of it.

It's been said before, but try not to use 5C as much as you do; using it from full-screen and at the start of a round isn't a very good idea. Try and use neutral techs instead of rolls in the corner since they're a lot more difficult to punish. You don't seem very comfortable with zoning that much. Lambda's close-range game isn't particularly strong, so most of the time you'll want to be trying to keep your opponents at bay with swords instead of charging in head first. Your combos need work. You almost had something here (minus the bluebeat), but went down a sub-optimal path and then didn't finish the combo. Make sure you're confident in your confirms and know what combos you can do and when so you don't end up with wasted opportunities. Th key things I feel you should be focusing on right now are getting your zoning and combos then. You'll need to work on your fundamentals too (blocking, applying proper pressure, etc.), but you can decide whether you want to focus on that or the other two things first. Honestly, I don't feel the need to comment on your play all that much. You seem pretty strong fundamentally, you had your combos down and your execution was great to match. Both of you played the match-up well in my opinion and even though you seemed to struggle keeping Yarin out at times, I feel that has more to do with him knowing how to get around certain things (like this, for example) more than you having bad zoning skills. Other than that, I'd just like to point out that you had plenty of time to 2D Yarin's Swallow Moon here and I'm not sure why you didn't. You passed up on good damage here, but that's a minor match-up related thing anyway. Oh, and I lol'd at your cheeky throws. :P

I need to play more Tales games. The only one I've played is Vesperia and I haven't even finished that yet. 7 hour difference... It's basically a hack that can let you do a lot of things with the Xbox like playing homebrews and games from different regions, for example.

I wouldn't be against the idea of the second post with videos thing, but couldn't we just put a link to Emjay's archive with the respective match-up in the first post? Like, JPN Ragna vs. Lambda matches? Either way is fine of course, but this way does save Toan a job.

Nah, getting them all up there at once would be better I think. I also like how the Noel forums have handled the layout of the threads with all the key information updated in the first post to avoid having to sift through pages of information, so I'd like to emulate a similar style unless anyone has any objections.

I think the main thing that is always gonna keep Platinum from reaching the high ends of the tier-lists is just how random she is. There's no way to be consistent with her when you're constantly adapting your play depending on what item you have without any way of knowing what you'll get next. It's probably not the best thing in the world that not many people play Platinum either, but that shouldn't stop you from figuring out some good tech for yourself. That said, Extend seems really balanced so being C-tier might not be that bad anyway (Noel, for example, is also C-tier and she seems to be doing fine).
