  1. Good stuff.
  2. This would be perfect. If you can get your parts before the US release of Extend (I want to have our video come out at or around the release date) and you're up for it, I'd appreciate your help. No worries if you can't make it by then though. Maybe, but Hauppauges are pretty good too so I'll be asking for your help instead if Ryuu can't record for us.
  3. Moved the discussion to the QnA thread. Also, does anyone here have any HD recording equipment? I'm planning on getting some stuff together for an Extend guide video (like the one planned for CS2) and I could record with my Roxio, but some better quality wouldn't hurt.
  4. Like Ryuu said, it definitely depends on the situation and the character you're playing against, but in general it is a good idea. Even if you guess wrong and your opponent doesn't (air)dash in, forcing them to predict where your swords might come from next and keeping them wary of your options is a good zoning tool in itself.
  5. You could try, but you'd have to beat the unbearable lag before you teach me anything.
  6. All hitboxes are laughable in the face of Fenrir: Yuup.
  7. Tager and his fat ass would still get hit. :3
  8. Thread title says it all. Have any queries you'd like cleared up about Lambda, post it here and we'll do what we can to help. Toan edit: Let's toss this chart here to make it easier to locate. It deals with corner 3C->236B follow-ups and the midscreen 236C->236D link.
  9. This thread is for posting videos of your Lambda play in order to have them critiqued by fellow Lambda players and have them advise you on what you should work on to help you improve and take your game to the next level. For those who can't upload videos themselves, I can record matches matches that have been saved onto the D-Card on both XBL and PSN. Send me a message on DL or either system if this needs to be done. Also, please remember that this thread is open to players of all experience levels and to be constructive with your criticisms.
  10. Thanks, you guys. I'm sure I can speak for Toan as well when I say we'll do our best to keep these forums running smoothly. Cresent cancel into run-up grab is another one of my favourite mix-up tricks. And because I don't use it very often, it almost always works.
  11. 236C > Micro-dash 236D. You can see him do it here. I'm guessing due to spacing/hitboxes, a normal 236D won't work on the entire cast.
  12. The P2 on j.C has also changed from 86 -> 85 too and I can't see any data on j.B either so we don't know whether that's changed or not. Then again, the differences are quite minor so maybe it could still work..
  13. Good job, Emjay. Even though you haven't tried to optimise anything yet, this stuff looks promising. I can't wait for us all to hit the lab with her and get her best stuff down~ I have a feeling that this won't work. Maybe off of a FC Gravity Seed, but even then I'm not sure.
  14. That's interesting. I wasn't aware 214B/C > 236C connected. Also, I noticed that you didn't go for 6C > 236C > db 4B > 2DD > Aerial D combo as your ender. Does that ender not work in your combo?
  15. You're right about micro-dashing and stagger pressure is using strings with small gaps in it (e.g. 5A > 5A > 665A) that is mainly used as frame traps and extending pressure. Pressuring opponents in general really depends on what character you're facing (do they have a DP/good range/720s) as well as your opponent (are they aggressive/passive/etc.), so you'll want to be using a mix of staggered 2/5As, 5B/C for spacing and gimmicks like j.4D and cross-up 2D on crouchers depending on the situation.
  16. Well considering the range of 5A, you'll more than likely be dashing in before you use it anyway (especially if you're using stagger pressure). At any rate, [5A >] 6A > 6C should work without forward momentum and anything that leads into 3C won't need it either.
  17. You need to be at point blank for that to work. Some running momentum (i.e. 665A > 5A > 6A > 6C) makes it easier to connect too.
  18. A lot of the proration values on Lambda's moves have been changed, so even if it works in CS2 it might not work in Extend. We'll just have to do a lot of testing to see what does/doesn't work before we get our hands on more complete information.
  19. Emjay's match video archive has pretty much made this thread's purpose redundant since he's doing an excellent job keeping up to date with all the new match videos. I've put the link to that index in the first post, so I guess we should start making this thread more focused on video analysis; see something interesting/questionable/etc. post it here and discuss.
  20. Shoutouts to Chiizu for testing stuff out for us. Here's two 4D fatal counter combos Luna and myself came up with as a result: Corner 4D(Fatal) > d.6C > d.2D > SR > 6C(2) > 6C > j.D > d.4D > d.214D > 446C > 22C~66 > 6C > 5D > d.6B > d.5B > d.5D > d.5C > d.236D - 6.1k Noel Cornered 4D(Fatal) > d.6C > d.214D > 66A > 6C(2) > 6C > j.D > d.4D > d.236D > 6C > 22C~66 > 6C > 5D > d.6B > d.5B > d.5D > d.5C > d.236D - 6k
  21. What Ryuu and min said are right, someone. Try this combo instead since I assume you're trying to find combo paths that use the new 2DD > 6C gatling: 5C[x8] > 3C > 236B > RC > 5C[x8] > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 236C > 446A > 2DD > 6C > 2DD > Air D Ender.
  22. A compilation of beginner-friendly combos here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SppEsbEOCnQ&feature=g-all-u&context=G2963b8dFAAAAAAAABAA These aren't optimal combos or anything and there's definitely a lot more we can do with her, but it's still worth checking out especially if you're new to Lambda.
  23. A fair few of us have CSEX already, so we might as well bring the talk to a new thread. Once we've spent some more time with the game we can set up a combo thread too.
  24. True but he claims that I'm really not sure how to solve this..
  25. He's been attempting challenge #13, Luna.
