  6. this is the way to play tsubaki in CP anyway, with 2c nerfed and her DP buffed.
  7. Ok, so wolf anti-air isn't good and tsubaki's anti-air is hands down the best in the game. I won't take the bait.
  8. on initial dash speed and acceleration. For makoto Ithink it is all about the initial dash speed, because that initial dash speed is what gives your pokes extra range. gundashing across the screen is less important I think.
  9. What BJ said pretty much. Hakumen likes to approach from the air, and he has gigantic hitboxes. Tsubaki's 2c works well against that because it has a good hitbox of its own. 2c fits well into her game of charging at neutral or after neutral too, which again has nothing to do with how good 2c is itself, except that 2c is good at fending off long range, big old jump/iad forward stuff. Makoto has a high hitting 5a in addition to her 6a. It just works better in my experience. I don't actually find tsubaki's 2c to be crap. It is good, but it is more that it has a key role in her game that makes it particularly important for her. Plus a lot of her other shit is so terribly lackluster it makes it shine even more. Rachel's 6a is, in my opinion, better in every single regard.
  10. Tsubaki's 2c is very good against Hakumen. I still like Makoto's much better overall. Don't need to play anyone though. I've played Kiba plenty. Tsubaki's 2c is good for reasons that have nothing to do with the move itself, like her playstyle, too.
  11. Tsubaki's 2c is less spammable than others because you have to be careful about avoiding 2cc, and because the invuln is a bit slow (worse in CP). Dunno what to tell you about getting hit by tsubaki's 2c when crossing up except that you'd get tagged by virtually every anti air if that's the case. This is one thing that's for certain, it is not good against crossups. the hitbox is big, but it's totally forward. The typical 6a works much better. I'm much more comfortable with people jumping in on me as Makoto than I ever was as Tsubaki. But w/e.
  12. I guess you don't know what it is like to use a 2c anti-air. 2c is 2c either way, but you get a 2c that whiffs, instead of a 5a that whiffs. I know what I would prefer. Crossup immune is Mu's, whose hitbox hits behind her and always comes out from the input. Tsubaki's AA is *TERRIBLE* against crossups. Makoto's 6a is infinitely better for that.

  14. Using Makoto for 2 months has made that clear to me. Tsubaki's 2c in particular doesn't function well vs Tao.

  16. lol, I mean, fucking crawl is frame 1 invulnerable to what, 95% of the attacks in BB? It's not so uncommon for someone to be able to land and block an anti-air. same thing. At least it isn't tsubaki's crap anti-air that I have to use.

  19. I use visual cues during combos with Makoto and it can especially screw charge moves. like DD ender. you lose like 500 guaranteed damage if you don't hit the level 3. Getting that is like trying to calculate how much lag you think there'll be as the rings are closing in. ahh... But yeah, 9 works. well, against me. With all those easy matches it's hard to get mad. Play Ragna exclusively and I'll get mad. So good, can't believe you won't show that Ragna to anyone on netplay
  20. you'll have to stop playing tao if you want to make me mad Had to go to lag proof combos.. on Jin.. which blows because you have to 2b to pick him up and that is terrible.. big difference between not being able to block tsubaki overhead and makoto overhead. double the reward. Want to play again sometime though, maybe some midnight sessions sometime.
