Just want to throw this out there. It could be neat to spend a bit more time in order to get more on the stream with less gap between stuff on the stream. Like once it hits ro4, could instead of having everyone go off to do their thing, just line em up to be on stream.

her max speed is already way high. see, that makes me wonder if it isn't that her acceleration got buffed more so than it is max speed. because her max speed is already 38 compared to most chars at like 28/30. I also want to mention that a recent video against Carl has Goro timing out the carl player by using long block strings and RCs. The thing I noticed was that the carl player got guard bonus. Like, when do you ever see that. here is the point. That means 5cc > 214AC is a tight block string. possibly more than just tight. could be several frames of leeway to even let a gap into it, don't know..

So about initial dash speed nerfs in CP, is her dash more like other characters in CP? She's got a bit higher initial dash speed, but her acceleration is really slow. Saw this in CS2 frame data. She's faster than most characters for the first 10 frames or so, but then she's slower . till eventually she's faster again because her max dash speed is really high. Granted the initial dash speed is really about inertia pokes...

If it's not damage what changes it from 6-4 to 4.5 -5.5 Comet cannon wasn't usable in the first place against hakumen, can't be that. 5b nerf? I didn't think dash was nerfed between CS2 and EX

I haven't really taken big combos off 3c in EX. Maybe they are out there but I haven't seen them. But in CP it seems like 3c CH goes to like 5k every time so I can't see using makoto's 3c like ever. Makoto has a bit of other stuff in CP too I guess. I haven't even really thought about CP TBH. games probably half a year away.

In CS2. though if I understand correctly, her special tools were even stronger in CS1, but her normal moves were worse. Not sure about damage, I know there were crazy damage combos but don't know how it compared to CS2 in terms of practicality or what not.

Pretty much use the same shit but risk reward is against you instead of in your favor I guess. Still seems like it'd be a bit different because you wouldn't want to use her unique tools as much now (Parry, J2C, 3C, asteroid) but the bread and butter is the same (normal moves, footsies). But I guess I still thought that the neutral wasn't so much in Makoto's favor as it was just the damage, risk reward.

This is all because Mac was telling me that Makoto has a strong neutral against Hakumen, then it turned out that he was mostly going off playing Omni in CS2, and then it turned to a discussion over whether the matchup is really any different from CS2. Mac thinks not much different, I think it is significantly different (despite not playing Makoto in CS2 and just picking her up a month or so ago)
