  1. If it's not theoretically possible, then he has unavoidable unblockables. The chances are small, but it's possible for you to block everything in curse. You'd have to guess right a shitton of times, though. EDIT: To be clear, there's a difference between "theoretically possible" and "likely to happen in a match."
  2. Inside curse, he can spam bullshit enough that he's almost 100% going to hit you, though it's still theoretically possible to block every mixup in curse Outside curse, it's pretty much "I hope this works," except for the shit where he gets curse meter on block
  3. Everyone's pressure is "I hope this works." It's not just Ragna
  4. If most of your Ragna pressure is frametraps, you're not gonna hit people unless they're mashing. That's obvious, I know, but I say a lot of obvious shit and then turn around and don't apply it while I'm playing. Just give less fucks and be less afraid. Mix people up the second you know they're not hitting buttons. GET IMPATIENT. If they block one string, mixup harder. Don't play the same game with them the entire time, or you're not gonna hit them. Ragna is about just hitting people. Understand that, and your life becomes so much easier.
  5. Shishin is four winds
  6. Realtalk time Safe, free pressure resets don't exist for your character
  7. If you're that confused, you really should go back, look at your pressure strings, and try to understand what's safe, what's DP-able, and what's mashable, in addition to what pressure strings are used for what purpose (frametrap, mixup, gaining respect, etc.). That's like the only thing good about my Ragna; I actually understand what does what in pressure. Everything else about my Ragna is shit.
  8. You need to get out of pressure somehow, and if that means hitting buttons, so be it You'd think you're supposed to block all fucking day and never try to escape, the way some people talk about it
  9. Does that work for falling j.C, since it can be input too early?
  10. Ragna combos are nearly undroppable on the most barely passable netplay too Unfortunately, Litchi combos are not ;_;
  11. I honestly think it was netplay. I don't think I ever changed block ingame when I tried to guess Swallow Moon mixup, though I did mash it a couple of times
  12. At times like that, there is only one thing to do. BLAME NETPLAY
  13. GGs Moy Thanks for running like 30 matches with my horribly free self. Wish I had saved the replays to watch later
  14. Our modem shit itself today and the replacement isn't nearly as good. It pingspikes like twice a minute and has much worse jitter even when no one is doing anything. And this shit had to happen the day of the netplay tourney. #netplayerproblems
  15. GGs Errol. I identified a couple of major problems with my play, which made it a damn productive session. Also, mfw you block all my kokushi mixup: THEN
  16. Someone play me for ft5 or ft10 I'm tired of waiting turns and shit in player rooms
  17. What do I do to get corner carry off j.2D?
  18. Then you need to learn when netplay is being shit, so you will in turn know when to just give up because nothing you do matters.
  19. If you're willing to learn from it, it can be. But if you're not willing to, it won't be.
  20. Some kind soul should invite me to a room~
  21. MY pingtest is giving me 33 ms x N This is probably the best thing I've seen all month. Someone netplay me in a bit to celebrate this joyous occasion
  22. This. Not even Konan is perfect.
  23. Just because someone loses doesn't mean they really screwed up. Nobody is going to block every overhead or bait every DP. Like DontExplain said, there's usually something you can take from a good player's match regardless of whether they won or lost. Losing doesn't invalidate the fact that they're a good player.
  24. Not blocking Valkenhayn and DPing/mashing/whatever makes you about as likely to get hit as blocking him, sooooooooo
