  1. You can spend a charge to make it safe, so it becomes a real nuisance. And since DP D also takes one charge and DP D doesn't loltrade day like DP A, you play this game where you have to respect DP A if they have one charge, since they could do DP D instead. It's also just really weird to punish in general. It doesn't have a super-long recovery like ID or Jin DP C
  2. I know I try to mash hard if it looks like a Plat is gonna start doing swallow moon I haven't played this game in like a month, though...
  3. Oh, two things. A) Litchi on Stickbug's account = LK B) You play SG, and you're complaining about Litchi combos?
  4. Seriously, you're being too uptight about that. When I still played Relius I had to waifu summon in the middle of blockstrings all the damn time, because I needed her out as soon as I could get her. I rarely got punished.
  5. Basically, respect = they're not hitting buttons and are trying to block, and it seems like they're gonna keep doing that.
  6. When I went to Civil War, tourney was on 360 I was dropping shit left and right I stayed in the casuals room until like 1 AM playing training mode on the setup so I wouldn't be completely screwed for tourney the next day ;_;
  7. Familiarity. Play the game more, spend time in practice mode, etc.
  8. What Relius tech has him at not bottom tier?
  9. sG dropped Litchi? Did not know
  10. Do you consistently get it with 2367?
  11. You have a stick; learn to use it. And how're you doing it? 2367? Because that motion is a pain in the ass on pad. If you're doing 236987, you're just hitting C too soon when you do 2369 and using the extra time it takes to do 236987 to compensate for that. I don't even remember anymore. I think it was a week until I was okay with everything (mind you, I wasn't practicing super-intensely), and a few more until I was 90% comfortable. If you put in more time, you'll get used to it faster. The thing you absolutely, absolutely need to remember is that it's all about letting the stick return to neutral. It's not 66 to dash, it's 656. It's not 6C 2C, it's 6C (5) 2C. You get the idea.
  12. Well, it's because it's just a question of DO IT FASTER DAMN IT for 6C(1)>4kote. TK Chun, do 2369C. Maybe wait a split second to hit C after you hit 9. I can't really explain much more than that. I could do TKs pretty much from the second I switched to stick (TK flameribbons ALL DAY ERRYDAY). They were satan on pad, though.
  13. Trying to troll when you can't beat people to begin with is impossible. You need to be secure enough in your play that the trolling can be condescending, but on not put you on a level where you can't win. If you can't win to begin with, trolling is just sandbagging when you're already gonna lose. You're not gonna look like you trolled some guy if he bodied you. You're just gonna look stupid for not actually trying to win.
  14. Looking at it, it's got to be newer. The GRD gauge used to be called the SEED gauge, so if it were old, it'd be labeled that. But it's labeled GRD. Welp, that's that
  15. There, should work now. I don't remember it ever having straight health bars. If I'm wrong, though, I'd be really glad >_>
  16. Ffff, must be cached or something. I'll cheat and screencap it, then upload it elsewhere lololol
  17. Also of note is the apparent UI change Straight health bars, straight super meter bar Can't say I'm a fan, old one was more stylish. This doesn't look /bad/, though, just not as good
  18. j.A is an "everyone with good j.As" thing" Litchi's j.A is good, I see Ragna's get a lot of use, Relius's is active for days, we discussed Jin, etc.
  19. For Relius, your BNB blockstrings are [with Ignis] -stuff>3C~D jc airdash mixup -normally unsafe move>6D -stuff>214A -[normals>6D>dash] x N -stuff>6A>2D/6D [without Ignis] -stuff>D -stuff>3C jump cancel shenanigans -2A x N -stuff>214A 214A is really plus, 2a is +1, 2D is advantage if respected (there's a gap between the two hits), 6D can be advantage if done late enough after something Make sure you can do staggers with proper timing, i.e., when you do things like [5B>6D] x N make sure the 6D is delayed enough to give their normals time to come out but not so delayed they get to active frames and hit you. (Basically, just make sure it's actually a frametrap when you do it.) You can practice this in training by either recording a dummy mashing 1A and playing it back while you blockstring against it or setting the opponent's block to whatever the setting that isn't all, random, or only after first hit is. If they get hit by your 6D when you do the blockstring, you're using the right timing. Learn when to desummon Ignis in pressure and back out. Make a judgment based on whether or not you'd be able to follow up your next mixup with a combo if it hit given the amount of Ignis meter and regular meter you have. Don't do unblockables unless your opponent is respecting hard or it's an okizeme situation.
  20. It's just about being comfortable with the inputs so you don't flip out when you're put in the situation People can combo like no one's business because it's in muscle memory; you can make blockstrings be like that, too. You do need to make sure you're changing blockstrings and not just doing the same thing over and over, but that can be practiced as well. Honestly, just instilling all your gatling options in your head by doing them over and over is really useful if you're uncomfortable with your character's pressure options. Starting there wouldn't be a bad idea
  21. You're not limited to practicing setups in videos just run blockstring after blockstring after blockstring until you feel comfortable
  22. Just training mode corner mixup easy solution
  23. The unblockables all take a good 60f You're better off spending that kind of startup time on Val Tus for covered mixup, or, better yet, just covering mixup with 2D
