Montreal: Le Thread Generale Pour Weeaboo Fighters
pochp replied to BladeOfJustice7's topic in International
Yo Hataraku Maou-sama is too good. Check it out. For Toryuken 2, I guess we should see who's coming first and then adapt the schedule for that. So what is it, like me, derq, level5, and heartless who are the only ones interested so far? In my case, I won't have started my job yet the friday before, so I'm up for whatever, but saving on hotel fees is a plus. I do however start working on monday morning so I'd prefer if we didn't leave too late on sunday. -

Oh yeah derq and I were planning on coming, dunno who else is interested atm. Anyone? -
Currently #4 ranked Mu, from a arc revo qualifier. I don't know how you'd pronounce his name though, ラヴァ . Lava? Lavoie? Rabua? [4/10/2013] Lava µ vs Rachel [4/10/2013] Lava µ vs Hazama [4/10/2013] Lava µ vs Bang [4/10/2013] Lava µ vs Bang [4/10/2013] Lava µ vs Bang

oh well, I would have liked to go to the sugar shack this year, I haven't been since like, high school. Maybe we could reorient the trip in the direction of sherbrooke? Dans le pire des cas, c'est pas la fin du monde. In other news, Jason says he can get us rooms at the Europa which is across the street from foonzo. wtf!? I know you guys reserved, but I think it's still worth discussing. We'd need to give him an answer pretty quickly though. (this is mostly aimed at DerQ and Kaeru, but I thought I'd let everyone know) -
You have a options atm, you can either room with DerQ and shtkn, who are at the same hotel as st1ckbug, or you can sleep on the futon at my place.

I'm bringing BB for xbox (shoutouts to greenix), I hope the new cabs work like the old ones where we can use our own games, that way we'll be able to have BB and Gundam at the same time :O not exactly sure what time I'll show up though, depends on this project. -
I know I can house at least 2, maybe more, I'll see about that. As for hotels, there's this one that is kinda close that is almost full : http://www.priceline.com/hotel/rateSelection.do?key=hfb9ca0b&propID=65045&occ=2&resetRate=Y&jsk=364a050a364b050a2013040916022157e010246456&plf=PCLH sad that there's so many in the area but they're all either full or jacked their prices because of the grand prix... An okay alternative if someone is coming by car would be around the airport which is a 20 min drive from foonzosuch as http://www.priceline.com/hotel/rateSelection.do? key=hfb9ca0b&propID=65823&occ=2&resetRate=Y&jsk=364a050a364b050a2013040916022157e010246456&plf=PCLH (or in other similar areas that aren't downtown but not that far of a drive, like other areas of montreal or longueuil, brossard...) gah it's so hard to plan these kind of events... next year we'll be way more careful.

I'll be dodging too tonight most likely, with yesterday's trip to Sherbrooke, there's some things for uni I need to get done. Might show up kinda late like 8~9ish if I get it all done. -

just checked my finals schedule... I should be good for this! I'm in there, the weekend after that I have an exam on saturday (20th), and then it's ottawa(27th), and then it's toronto(4th), and then it becomes hard to find open sugar shacks iirc. -

I think I'll go, but I'll only show up around 8:30~9 -
Kurushii started uploading scans of the mook (thanks, kurushii!), the data should be up in the wiki eventually when the notes and everything are translated. Until then, here are some of the changes I've noted. There may also be some typos in it. Backdash is exactly the same, jump is mostly the same, but duration in the air after a normal jump is 1f shorter. Not sure if this means the jump isn't as high or if it moves faster. I'm not going to go over untech time, as the system is different. For damage and proration, you can check it out here : http://www26.atwiki.jp/myuu12/pages/97.html 5b startup 9->8 2c level 3->4 6b only RC or gatling into 6c (no super or special cancel), recovery 18->23, frame advantage -1->-6, no mention of foot invuln (currently 8-23) stein shots level 1->2 236d startup 46->40, recovery total 63->81 j.236d startup 47->40, landing recovery 5->10 236a startup 23->17, recovery total 54->64 j.236a startup 23->30, recovery total 54->66+3 landing 623c startup 10->14, active 9->8 j.623c active 9->5 SoD (1) startup 19, active 5->7, recovery 24->22, frame advantage -10 -> -8 SoD (2) startup 41, active 5->7, recovery 24->22, frame advantage -8, has fatal (current levels 2&3 have a startup of 26&33, frame advantage of -10 & +3) SoD (3) startup 61, active 5->7, recovery 25->26, frame advantage +10 -> -12, has fatal 214d (1) level 4, startup 35 (same), active 14, recovery total 42->41, frame advantage +38->+16 214d (2) level 4, startup 41 to 59, active 7.15, recovery total 47 to 65, frame advantage +23 214d (3) level 4, startup 60, active 7.7.7.9, recovery total 66, frame advantage +37 j.214d (1) level 4, startup 31, active 14, landing recovery 5 j.214d (2) level 4, startup 37 to 55, active 7.15, landing recovery 5 j.214d (3) level 4, startup 56, active 7.7.7.9, landing recovery 5 ikutachi startup 33f, level 4, active 4, same move proration, recovery 2 + 16 landing, frame advantage is -22 overdrive versions have startup of level 1 minimum, can be held, and active frames of level 3 yatanokagami total recovery 70->140 Frame advantage nerf on SoD, as well as habaya and totsuka nerfs make me sad, but I understand that these specials are very strong in CSEX, and that combined with the buffs it sounds a bit too good Most normals didn't change, so I'm pretty satisfied, but the nerfs on the specials are going to force me to actually play footsies or something. Anyways, don't look at this as a comprehensive list of changes, I probably missed/ignored/couldn't read/misread a few, and things such as SoD's midscreen wallbounce on CH are missing.

I doubt I'll come Sunday or Tuesday this week, family & school stuff. No, airmaster, that doesn't necessarily mean everyone is dodging. -

I am available for Gore on the 6th, other weekends should be good too. Come on guys you know you want that Cabane à Sucre. Gundam was a great success. Shoutouts to kaeru, airmaster, jin, phoun, and everyone who tested also, shoutouts to new blood Couldn't find BBCSEX for 360 at the two gamebuzz/playntrade or the future shop on st-catherine (downtown), but I found a lot of copies of GG2 Overture lol! (like at least 5 at each place) -

GGs nolan! Your offense and defence have improved a lot recently. Maybe you should use dandy step more on knockdown, but what's really holding you back at the moment is your neutral game, it's like you're not sure which button to press (outside of anti-airs) or how to move around. Watch a few videos and check out how other slayer players do it (in these matchups, for example), I'm sure you'll get it in no time. GGs to everyone else as well, and thanks to monster king for keeping the random games hype. -

If you're just starting, don't use drive at neutral, stick to 5c, 6a, 236a, and j.c instead. Don't approach enemies by the air unless they're zoners. Learn the basic corner combos they do good damage and are somewhat easy. Then, go read the wiki : http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/index.php?title=Mu_(BBCSE). (I wrote the strategy part, so it's what I'd say anyways) -

Oh yeah, things changed a bit, Jason's last day working at Foonzo will be Saturday, so our last meetup with him will be this Thursday. The tournament(s) we'll do will just depend on who shows up and what they play. -

If this is applicable, please talk to me about it. Since I'm kinda in charge, I want to know what people are working on, so the same stuff doesn't get done twice, as well as making sure the image respects the vision if that makes sense... I don't want to be all e-sports about it, but I just want to approve what's being done. -

Just a normal meetup tonight, I'll be there with my copy of BB. I don't know who will show up this time, but there's usually a bit more people than on Tuesdays anyways
