4 setups st1ckbug, I doubt we'll be able to fit more. once again, let's keep the hype going : http://www.facebook.com/events/250602901727036 weekly thursday foonzo p4u tournament. -
imo both characters I'm playing, mitsuru and shadow labrys, are harder to execute than Mu. It might not seem that way from watching videos, but the low hitstop on everything compared to blazblue makes it a lot harder. It's also less autopilot to get out of pressure. Less wakeup options, anti chicken block mechanics, less efficient backdashes (I think), nerfed instant block, no barrier, no DP RC... you really gotta play your opponent, know matchups, and not be like "lol DP RC" or mash backdashes and hope for the best. that said, dp cancel into super is dumb.

I'm really enjoying persona a lot, all the locals are leveling up at more or less the same speed so weekly ranbats are really close and you never know what's going to happen. I actually won last week's with some lame resets and a lot of luck, shadow labrys is a beast. Local scene also grew since, a lot more randoms and people coming from different backgrounds... Feels so refreshing from playing BB with the same guys all the time. Training up for summer jam next weekend, but I know I won't have time to get all the shit I would want to down, and I won't know my matchups well enough. I still enjoy BB a lot, and not playing it for a couple weeks made it pretty fun to go back to. Also, playing shadow labrys gave me a lot of ideas of stuff to do with mu. I really hope they won't take the character out in the next version -_- still kinda worred about that, even though if she keeps secret last boss status and gets a nu/lambda replacement or something like that it'll be awesome. Anyways, next weekend you guys should watch the summer jam stream if you can't make it, it's gonna be really hype.

This is probably how we're going to split the rides for summer jam: Pedro's car : Brice, Nedel, Greenix, Kirbster Kaeru's car : Airmaster, Bibiquadium, Level5-chan said we'd bring 4 complete setups, with ps3s and games (and cables), so I'm not entirely sure how we'd split that up... I have two that I can bring, and I'm assuming that we can probably get kirb/brice/kaeru to bring the other two, unless someone else has an Evo monitor... I was also talking with bibi about probably bringing a cooler with food so we don't need to leave the hotel because there really isn't anything at walking distance, so we'd need to find a way to fit that too, in our trunks. what? input 6 1 3 and leave the stick in the corner until you press the button. To grind the motion I recommend going in training mode, recording a blockstring on an opponent (example ragna does 2a 2a 6b) and you try to DP the gap. -

I like the game too, I'm with you on this one jf. I'm having more fun than in BB, probably because it's refreshing and we were always fighting the same people, same matchups, same salt, same trolling... now it's like we're fighting the same guys and new guys but with completely different parameters, and spending 10h in the lab doesn't lead to a dumb reset I'll most likely forget to use. I know bibi's reasons (thinking two character/assist type mechanics here), I understand him to some extent, but I don't really agree with him. There's a lot of fun to be had with this game and I really hope you aren't going to miss out on it because of some gameplay elements that kinda turn you off. If you're not enjoying it... try another character. They're not hard to try -

no, only dp that works on it is mitsuru's and maybe yukiko's? a few supers can get you out of it, like installs or those that move you fullscreen. I don't know if there are any other tools that could work, maybe ex command throw. It's really hard to time correctly to make it beat all the options all the time, so take a bet on which timing I'll screw up. example : you might be able to roll out of I catch you with j.a into it because I might not have enough time to charge for the throw to be meaty. 3pm, leave at 5ish, 8h drive, arrive at 1am... you could lend your credit card to one of us I think, we'd say your coming later but wanted to let us leave the stuff in the room or something, maybe even call the hotel to make sure all goes well..... then another car could leave later in the day. We can always make it work, I don't mind leaving later. Sure we'll miss some of the stuff, but whatever I guess we can see if rescheduling the canada vs usa stuff for saturday night would work... you're not missing another year or missing another hype major, scrub. -

Nedel : you could probably team up with like brice (gg) and level5 (p4) to rep montreal. Rest of us should team up with guys from toronto or something cause we're all free at gg. Vice : the way I see it, AAAAA combos make it easy to try a character without needing to know how to hitconfirm with them. If you're finding the game boring maybe you could try another character, it looks like this one is going to be around for a while, and there's sooo much people online. Also, come to meetups -

What character are you playing dai loli? I used to have trouble with that too, but delaying inputs and inputting other stuff faster makes it easier. (ex mitsuru on crouch you'd do like 5a wait then really quickly 5a (followup) 6b wait sweep waaait droit) -

FB event for this week's tournament : http://www.facebook.com/events/476080012405167 Keep the hype going, I'm hungry for more! (8pm at foonzo no entry fee again) I'll also be there tomorrow, and it's true that I should probably remember how to play BB. Haven't touched it since p4u came out :O -

the game is a lot of fun. we're getting much better turn outs at meetups and ranbats. That said... another free tournament this week in an attempt to keep the hype going, because this time we might actually be hitconfirm into our combos! Sounds good? -

I'll be there. -
Yeah.... with my Mu colored shadow labrys :D More seriously though, haven't touched the game since p4u came out, but I'll keep playing bb and mu for sure after the initial hype slows down. There's summit of blazblue coming up as well as the next version so I don't see why I'd drop the game

If anyone has a 360 version of P4U, it would be appreciated if you could bring it to Foonzo tonight so we can have additional setups using the cabs. If someone could bring a PS3 too it would be nice. If we get a lot of people we'll need a lot of setups. -

Week 1 tournament this thursday at foonzo fb event : http://www.facebook.com/events/398838830180509/ The game just came out so we want to start making it hype right away! No one really has experience with the game so it's a fresh start for all of us. There will be more serious tournaments in the following weeks, and we have casuals at foonzo every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Free entry fee (foonzo's rules still apply, you must buy food at the venue and be 18+). Prize : I will buy the winner a beer from foonzo! (or juice or something if you don't drink...) Start time is 8 PM, but if you can only be there later, let us know and we'll add you to the bracket. The format will be decided depending on the amount of entrants. We should have multiple stations with the game on that day. Tournament will be run on PS3 most likely. There will be a stream : twitch.tv/bibiquadium If you don't know how to play, here is a quick overview: information on the system here : http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?14134-P4A-Gameplay-Primer simple character guide here : http://www.brokentier.com/blogs/news/6324820-persona-4-arena-simple-character-guide wiki : http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/index.php?title=Persona_4%3A_Arena slightly more in depth character overview : http://fr.twitch.tv/ultrachentv/b/327725904 -
6b has two hits, so you shouldn't need another move to hitconfirm it. If ever you go into SoD on block you can charge it a bit to make it less negative on block and sometimes get a fatal counter. Learn this one too : 2a 2b 5c SoD 6a 6b 6a j.2c j.5d 2b 5c 2c j.2c If your starter isn't 2a you can almost do anything before SoD, so it's probably one of the combos you'll be using the most. Next one you should learn would be anti air combos, those that start with 2c/6a CH. You need to change the combo depending on how far you are from the corner, but they're really important too.
-
They actually did kill kliff and justice after the first guilty gear and are only bringing them back in the next one, so I'm slightly worried that they won't be released with the game initially. Worst case scenario I'll just play ragna or whoever is simple and strong while waiting.

Secret final boss status is the best.

Well... if mu gets that secret last boss status then it's all good. If she and lambda are out I don't mind as they're probably the most annoying characters to play against so it's understandable. I like the new look, can't wait so hype. Persona timing is excellent, time to grind that shit until this comes out and get as many people into BB as possible at the same time. -

If this much people are going to keep showing up we'll need to start bringing consoles again. We were like what, 20? -
So anyways, been trying out 3c poke recently. I actually kind of like it in some matchups, doesn't really work out in others. Still pretty risky to use though.
