wheee new tech. well unless you already knew, this is pretty simple stuff. combo ending in 6c... 5[d] 236a dash 5b jump back airdash forward. ]d[ crosses up, if you time it right you can combo after. you can also not airdash to create a fake crossup once they start blocking it. You can also do 6c 5[d] iad cancel j.b 5b jump back airdash for a harder to block mixup as you can cross up multiple times, but not as solid as people can late tech and you don't have 236a covering you. Maybe a video will help to demonstrate, but my equipment currently doesn't work due to a broken coax cable. its similar to shadow labrys' 5c 5a jump cancel airdash mixup, except harder to pickup from. blockstring into 3c RC dash2b. people often stand after a blocked 3c, either expecting j.2c or wanting to punish or something, so you catch them in their crouching animation which allows for a nice combo into 6c. If 3c hits you get a full combo by doing dash 2b : 3c RC 2b 6a j.2c 2b 2c 6c habacan 6a 6b 5c 6c OR 3c RC 2c 6a j.2c 2b 6a 6c 5d 214d 6a 6c 5d 214d 6c for midscreen. Got the idea from playing May in gg, doing 3k RC 2k to make it safe.

had some fun in the lab today, trying some shadow labrys inspired mixup. things like ...6c 5[d] jc iad j.b 5b jc iad (crossup) ]d[ gonna have to try it out against people to see how effective it actually is, to see if it's worth doing compared to other setup. this game is still fun :D

blade, I made a post in an attempt to get more people to come to meetups, and you dodge it completely. two birds one post. anyways, it would be worth discussing with Jin and Pierre, but I think we'd be able to get at least one weekend evening a month. How about this : we keep our current meetup schedule, and add a weekly/biweekly tournament organized by derq or anyone else, and a monthly all game event on a weekend day, which is on a different week than the p4 biweekly and anything mtlsf is organizing that I'll take care of. stream will be whenever bibi feels like it. if anyone's interested here's pretty much how i "ran" the weeklies : you only really need to be there at start, when it gets to the finals, people can figure out who they have to play. do facebook events, post on dustloop and mayonaka, answer people's questions, get everything started, assign someone to run brackets, there should be someone with a laptop, do it on challonge. worst case scenario if there isn't a laptop do a single elim bracket it's easy to do on paper. btw teams are more hype than singles. our main meetup day would still be thursday, the monthly event would just be so that everyone who can't come often has maybe something extra to motivate them to come out. (that and I'm just looking for a way to start running ap, gg and bb tournaments. melty if possible :D) and of course we'd start as early as possible.

There's most likely going to be a character with a different name but extremely similar playstyle and appearance. Kind of like what happened with Nu and Lambda. They still haven't announced the boss characters(s).... or have they?

aight so since we can't run weekly/biweekly tournaments any more because we can't put enough time into it, I was thinking we should change the formula and run monthly events, kinda like the TSB ones, where we play all our games (bb gg p4u, maybe ap mb...). It would probably be either a friday or a saturday if it works, it would be free entry fee and we'd run teams/single elim as much as possible, so we have time to fit everything. Thoughts?

turns out I can get my parents' car for T13! so far there's me, brice, and probably level5chan. anyone else? Let's have a tournament this Thursday, it's been a while. I can't really organize these anymore due to my schedule, so unless someone else wants to step up, we should probably join in with the mtlsf friday ranbats. seriously I can't access anything at work I even have to do these bladeofjustice-like posts now. (and no I can't do it after work; meetups, anime, netplay, pso2, anime, cooking, class, anime, etc..) It was around 150$. Total is 550, we were 9, that's 61$ each. Yo I'm thinking of coming to Toronto this weekend for summer's end. I could stay at my uncle's place, but if anyone wants to let me stay at their place to mash buttons or something let me know, saturday night only. I'll be using the bus btw.

Kaeruuu my stick is trolling me, tell it to stop seriously though the gate keeps switching 45 degrees. I have to open it up and replace it every 15 minutes, getting annoying, can't practice anything arghghhg. I think something broke though, there's this little piece of plastic that was floating around inside. You can bring your consoles too. They bought skullgirls for a lot of consoles though, because of the initial hype when the game came out. A lot of us bought and tried skullgirls when it came out. I liked the combo system but didn't enjoy the pace of the game itself, mostly due to movement options and some other mechanics.

Welcome! We usually finish around 11pm, but we'll probably finish earlier this week due to a few of us going to Philadelphia for a tournament this weekend. Just making sure, but our venue is 18+ and you need to buy food from them as it's a bar/lounge. (and tip the waiters obv)

hm? I said it was harder than Mu/BB, not actually hard itself. I still can't get titanomachia combos consistently though, haven't practiced them enough. I used to think that too, but a lot of characters have tools that can giver her a hard time... and a lot of other characters have very strong tools as well. You can only autopilot up to a certain level, strong opponents that know the matchup force you to think. Though sometimes you can still get away with bs, and there is some stuff that could be nerfed.
