In case anyone is wondering, a trip to Toronto like this costs somewhere between 150-200$ if we split the price of gas and the room... or maybe someone from Toronto would be willing to let us stay at their place. gawd dustloop is finally up. ok important stuff: The doors at the entrance of the HQ building are now locked on weekends. So you need to call/text someone that's already inside for us to come down to open the door for you. If you don't have a phone, tell us what time you'll be there. If you guys want, we could do a rotation and someone could go downstairs at every half hour to check if someone needs the door opened. Either way, we're aiming to open the HQ around 3:30 PM. Ken, I'm not mad. I just want you to stop doing IAD j.C from fullscreen. It took me at least a few months to start breaking this bad habit but it's soo silly, so I don't want you to keep getting held back by it.

IIRC PS3 has this option but Xbox doesn't. LK can you confirm this? Now for the real question, in addition to the option selects for burst baiting, catching wakeup roll/DP, and guard/throw break, are there other option selects I (and everyone) should know and use? Not necessarily character specific, but if there are any (for any character), it would be good to know them to help figure out how to punish them if you realize your opponent is (ab)using them.

I don't think so, you were far from free even when you just started coming to meetups. Think of yourself more like a "secret boss" for all those who joined our community but haven't met/played you yet. I suspect a sudden drop in Litchi/Jin/(insert character other than makoto/noel/hazama) hate the day you get here.

I was thinking about this. From Otakuthon until Nemesis 2, Airmaster was "The Free-est". From Nemesis 2 until MATVIII, Steb was "The Free-est", since MATVIII, Ken is "The Free-est". Will he be able to pass the cursed title on to someone else in time for The Massacre in October? Stay tuned to find out.

Always 2A or sometimes 5A/5B/2B, do those moves whiff on the wolf in certain situations? And does it require instant blocking?

At first I got up after losing in MvC and I almost tripped on Air's chair, while he was standing up. I didn't realize it was his chair, so I didn't say anything or place it back, but when he sat down, it wasn't where he thought it was going to be. Later in the evening, kr3wman wouldn't give up his place in AE so I pushed him off his chair, and the chair tipped over with him on it. Did I forget one?

Woah, that's a lot of meets, in MTL we only do 2-3 per week. I'd be curious to see the color palette they'd use for the new Mu if she's "replaced" by Saya. I just hope she doesn't get Justice'd/Kliff'd in the next game.

Woah yesterday was pretty awesome. I was honestly starting to lose faith in our community since the last few weeks we've never been more than 5 at a meetup but BAM, 15! Lots of new guys as well, shoutouts to them for coming! Shoutouts to those who brought equipment as well, and well, to everyone who came. I hadn't seen/played some of you in a while. Also, chairs sry Kirbster is now GG's secret boss?

I dunno, too many people don't say if they're coming or not. So far it's me, Ken, Rhannmah, Steb, Air, kr3wman, maybe Blade, maybe Fred. Assuming Rhannmah brings his setup and Kr3wman brings his, we'll have 2 PS3s, 1 Xbox, and 1 PS2 (GG). As well as the usual MvC3 setups, 1 SSF4AE, and the arcade cabs (mvc1, mvc2, 3rd strike). Oh and I have pokemans and this kof on my laptop, but I haven't tried that yet. So that's 3 BBCS2 setups.

Now that I have your attention, Rhannmah said he's coming tonight. Don't dodge, nigga. @Ken: lol PM me your new number I forgot to save it.

But we're playing BB. ok? plz guys, answer brice's question about rescheduling meetups it's pretty relevant. My answer is : I'm always free, and I don't see this changing soon. (well, I'm only available on weekday evenings and weekends)

I would do a single elim best of 1 tourney every meetup if people are interested.

I'll be opening the HQ around 5-6ish. I'll keep you guys updated tomorrow, depends on how much work I have to do, but I might be able to leave earlier than that as well. @Blade: My thoughts on that are: we don't have a lot of people attending meetups lately, so no point, however this may change. We're going to transition to Foonzo shortly, so we should probably do one last HQ tournament. Once we start hanging out at Foonzo, our scene might have a bit more exposure, so if we can set up a poster saying "BBCS2 tournament on august 6th" (for example), we might actually attract more randoms, make the scene grow, take more people's money. What I would have liked to have started was a Danisen league at the HQ, but like I said, attendance has been rather bad recently, so maybe we could start it at Foonzo once we start going there. This might attract more randoms into trying out the game. Remember, danisen league is free, and people enter it with multiple characters if they chose to, so anyone can find an "opponent" of their level.
