  1. She could. The combos were mostly Drive combos though, if I remember correctly. Still did a ton of damage.
  2. I'm not sure yet. (I've been getting unlucky for the past few weeks.)
  3. Infinite time matches. And I was exaggerating. Still, Unlimited Celica vs. Unlimited Ragna. That could be an interesting no time limit match.
  4. Celica is looking like she's going to have the strangest hit boxes. Also, depending on how much that DD heals, a Ragna vs. Celica match can go on forever.
  5. Unlimited Mars is broken as heck. Score Attack is doable, and the characters are not unlimited.
  6. If I do come, I'm not bringing a setup, so beware!
  7. Yeah. Couldn't they have just run a spell checker?
  8. Probably because they just straight up ripped the track from P3. Everyone else had original music.
  9. Judging by that pic, it seems lambda has a new D sword. It's yellow and roundish, kinda like the gameshark Logo. If that's the case, it would seem that they put some extra work and her drive really might be that different from before. Hopefully not too different, but it does seem they did more than a palette swap.
  10. So, like Super Street Fighter then? Sounds reasonable.
  11. Airk is correct. The problem is when someone is trashed through proper play, there are too many factors to them to consider. There's everything from tech-timing and hit confirms to resets and match-up specific elements. You can, principle perfect someone each round never using the same trick once. You can use a regular overhead, then a throw, then a RC mix-up, an unblockable (Some games), a frame-trap, et cetera. How are they supposed to learn if they're only seeing each thing once, for a fraction of a second each round? That's why being scrubby can be a good teaching tool; you can focus on teaching them things one at a time. Of course, it's not bad to play seriously a bit here and there to give them a demo and taste (and also for your own sake.) Just don't torture the poor guy. Have a few easier matches so he can have fun too, and if he wants to learn, do a bit of scrubbin or give training mode lessons, or what ever. Do just destroy him for the sake of winning.
  12. I do like the art style of that Lambda portrait. It's a nice 90's style with more realistic proportions and no moe. I wonder if she'll have a personality this time around?
  13. And I lost my wallet! I don't have a license to drive anymore!
  14. That's odd. What's the point of Luna and Dia mode if they're just going to add Lambda back in? I'd like to see Nu returned to normal if they're just going to have Lambda anyways; the mode switching always seemed a bit tacked on. And Celica? Minierva was just a generic looking version of Nirvana. Really, I thought her character portrait was confirmation that she wouldn't be playable.
  15. Yeah, this is my point. It's taken you years and you still, apparently, have no chance of winning. This guy is a poor teacher and it your reason for playing makes it sound like you're not even having fun with the game.
  16. I'm not sure you understand what being truly shutdown is. Plus, eventually learn isn't really a good way, is it? We want to people to learn at a quick pace and have fun, don't we? Not torture them for hours upon hours just so they learn the bare basics. I'm not saying that you should go easy on someone so much as you should give them an opportunity to learn.
  17. I can't read Japanese. I wish I knew what they were saying.
  18. It depends; if you completely shut someone down they're not going to learn anything. They have to be able to do something in order to learn.
  19. Hm, I just won some red Sox tickets for a game on Tuesday. I'm not really a baseball fan, so I'm trying to find people to take at least one, or both, of the tickets. Anyone here interested?
  20. I might. But, I probably won't have my setup. I may not even have my stick, which is why I might not show up at all.
  21. Maybe? The problem is, is that their localization jobs are worse than some of the most niche games here. At some point you have wonder if it's really about the price. Business don't always make decisions based off money, for better or worse. I really wonder what the full story is.
  22. Hm, I'm not sure If I'm going either. If I do, I'm not bothering with bringing a setup.
  23. Nope. But people keep forgetting about her. Also, she's not based off Yu.
  24. Sound like it would have been fun to watch. But at the same time- I want my Arc System Works Games. Is there a more populous scene in MA that isn't on the weekends?
