I finally turned 19 today. Feels good to have a level-up or sorts.

@Woz: Looks like a horrendous fusion of Suicune and Dialga, not impressed Pokemon, not impressed at all. Then again, I suppose I can accept it seeing as their designs have been getting worse and worse since Platinum. Hell, I remember one Pokemon that looked like a god damned washing machine. @Volpe: What you're saying is mostly not a lie dude. Most of the people who develope the game can't afford to actually go home and are forced to spend most nights at their work stations. Can't imagine the amount of rebalancing they have ti do with every Pokemon they spew out of their crap-holes. I'd buy their games just for the amount of effort it takes to make them...shit

Man, I don't know whether I should schedule my days off to go to Winter Brawl or Final Round. How's the car-pooling situation looking for either of these events? I can provide a good share towards the drive to the events no problem. I'm leaning more towards Final Round since they're having Melty Blood there but I really just don't know. What do you all suggest?

I'm almost certain you can block it. I want to say that almost every command grab in her arsenal is blockable from what i've seen. However, I don't know her entire moveset so I can't really say for sure. I wish Noel had a legit command grab that wasn't combo-fodder, that'd be sweet Edit: Why hasn't my calling Bullet's fire ring "The Red Ring of Death" caught on yet? It's so fitting.

Jackie, i've been safe-jumping your IDs since 2010 ma nig, where you been at? Isn't that Bullet's DP that she's using to punish the IDs? If so, it seems pretty risky if your opponent just wakes up and blocks and you're without meter. It looks really effective against Tsubaki's DP though. Really swag, nonetheless.

Maybe the Bullet player wasn't holding the button to tech (maybe to avoid possible tech traps, resets, etc...like how you would in P4U) and maybe there is a specific frame window you need in order to tech SMP combos (one that you wouldn't normally miss as you'd be holding the button). Also, the reason they may not have been able to tech later in the combo is due to the fact that the Hazama player ended his combo with Hungry Coils (seeing as it's a command grab that can't go purple like say, Bang's). Thus he was able to squeeze out that last, huge chunk of damage to confirm the kill. I know in Extend there are plenty of times where Hazama can end his combos with Hungry Coils in situations where your opponent would've been able to tech had you have imputted another normal or special.

For some reason her normals feel less foreign to me than Millia's does, oddly enough. On another note, whatever happened to Godfather-sama? Don't tell me he fled town at the thought of having to train me. Tsk tsk, that's going to cost him points :3

It's not too bad understanding that you have to be pretty much stationary mid-screen but we get to have a lot of fun in the corner. I fought a friend of mine earlier and I flew over his head by accident and he killed me with a Robo-Ky confirm. I sadfaced.

I'll be taking Gear seriously from now on. I still am going to play Persona and Melty Blood competitvely as well. Woz, I need some help with I-No. I get the gist of her FRCs but I can't really apply them into combos yet. What videos have you been watching to understand her BnBs? Been watching a bit of Koichi so I might start downloading a bit of what he does for combos.

@SMP discussion: Woz is right guys, the opponent can tech immediately upon the SMP detection system's activation. Loving Eltnum's, Hilda's, Linne's, vatista's, and merkava's themes. For some reason, the rest of the cast haven't left that strong of an impression like I was expecting.

Heh heh, not all combos my friend. I'm finding that the most BASIC BnBs end with an air-throw in order to guarantee that you have some type of oki upon landing (though i'm not sure who can get a set-up off of said ender). The only time I really see air-throw enders is moon combos other than Cresent (cresent having the most intricate combo routes via links and weird gatlings). However, I do play Hisui so her combo routes in Cresent are fairly interesting and i'm still learning them all. Currently stuck between her, Tohno Akiha, or Ryugi Shiki (because characters with knives are cool). Oh yeah, and Sion, forgot about her. @Volpe: I still intend to play Persona and ride this thing out for as long as possible before it dies (it's dead, right?).

Quick question guys. How many of you would be interested in some Melty Blood side tournaments starting in January when we come from break? It would cost like maybe a dollar or two (and whatever other costs go into running a tourney) and provided Milln is cool with it. I remember a few of you mentioning you wanted to check it out and I could provide a setup now so we'd be good to go. Just throwing that out there to get another discussion going, let me know what you guys think about it.

Did I not mention for everyone to add to their lists as much as possible? All of these just help me expand my music variety since it's a bit lacking. Already done research on Naimat's and Klein's artists. Hoping to get to Kain and Volpe's by tomorrow.
