Bloodscythe has the head attribute, not body. Not being an overhead has nothing to do with having the body attribute.

I won't be available this weekend so you might want to take me v Bace off as well.

You can actually get double regular megido off a non-CH j.C as well. If you're not at the right height to get the j.A, j.B, j.2B 5AA relaunch, another j.C will suffice as a followup.

I don't think I've actually heard of this before, can you elaborate on this?
-
I guess I could talk about this from an Aigis player's perspective. Funnily enough, I've actually played a semi-local Aigis player w/my pocket Labrys a few times so I've actually experienced this match from both ends. Feel free to correct/ignore my scrubby ramblings. At the start of the match, Aigis will be looking for the right time to go into Orgia while making sure that Labrys doesn't get in. During Orgia-less neutral, expect to see a lot of 2B from Aigis. If Lab reads a 2B, she can roll past it and punish Aigis, who's stuck in 2B's awful recovery. If Aigis tries to airdash towards you, hit them with your own 2B and go into guillotine axe knockdown and try to get your offense going. Needles may or may not be helpful in neutral (I haven't played with this enough yet). If you're fighting an Aigis player to likes to utilise Orgia as an approach, the neutral game changes dramatically at this point; it's clear that Aigis is now looking to start her offense ASAP and as such, Labrys will have to play somewhat defensively to keep Aigis from achieving her objective. If Aigis is foolish enough to try to fly at Labrys from full-screen, hit them with 2B and start playing your game from there. One very important thing to note is that if Aigis is in Orgia, stay out of mid range. From that range, Aigis can use 2B to cover her approach and if you get touched by 2B, Aigis can and will get in for free. You can try to yomi roll the mid-range 2B if you really want to but if you make a bad guess, she can pretty much end the round at that point given that she has enough meter so I'd just advise you to stay out of that range period. Once her Orgia meter starts to approach lower values during neutral, this is a good time to try to get in on her; Aigis will probably try to find a way to safely switch back to normal mode and save her Orgia meter. If Labrys is enough of a pest, Aigis may not be able to make a safe change and lose her Orgia meter for a while or opt for a desperation DP change back to normal (I'll bring this up again in a bit). Don't worry too much about making mistakes while trying to get in on her as the risk-reward ratio is in your favour at this point; if Aigis gets a hit, she won't have enough Orgia meter to do anything damaging. If you get an offense going and Aigis is out of Orgia mode, I don't really have much to say. In Orgia mode, j.B is pretty good at catching Orgia backdash. If Aigis is in Orgia and it's running low, a lot of Aigis players will opt for a desperation DP to get you off them while using it as a way to transition back into normal mode. Make sure to watch out for DPs if her meter is low. Remember: the round's not over until it's over. Aigis is very good at stealing games and if you're not vigilant during the whole match, this could very well happen! It's a hard match for Lab but she does have a fighting chance in this matchup. With careful play, you can turn this chance into a certainty.

[CP] Carl Clover Gameplay Discussion (Changelog in OP)
Psykotik replied to Akira-Shiro's topic in Carl Clover
IMO, it should be a fairly smooth transition. Carl's biggest change to get used to is his new combo routes. Aside from that, the only real change that I could use tripping people up is 5B being non-jump-cancellable on block and that's more of a muscle memory issue than anything else. The only things that won't transfer from EX to CP Carl are some combos so if you want to pick up him up now to get ready for CP, by all means, go for it. I'd also recommend learning his DP-safe unblockable setups right now. Although the CP UB setup is a bit different from the EX setups, if you can learn to do his unblockables in EX, you'll pick up the new UB combo very quickly in CP. -

For the j.2C, I suggest to try to start (not hit) it when your opponent's height is around Nirvana's head. This should allow you to hit the allecan at a good height and make sure that the opponent is still low enough so that you can follow up with 5C into whatever. Just keep practising and you'll hit it. The j.2C, allegretto, 8D ender is actually quite tricky; I still drop it more often than I'd like lol. This ender is alot easier if you're the right distance away from Nirvana (1.5 character length?). For the input, I usually do j.2C, j.214C78D and it's relatively consistent for me. To get the double hit on the 8D, you have to release it slightly early.

Easiest control method is to get a stick Also, what do you mean by "dance around the wall"? And yes, Tenerezza is da god.

More double mode change combos/An excuse for me to try out my LGP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UL4KBkYA378

The way I usually input the combo is: [combo...], 623C, 22D, 4C21]D[, 236A, [combo...] By inputting 5C as 4C, you're still getting 5C but you're also buffering the Volante motion early. You do have to do the input rather quickly but it becomes natural after a while.

I see, give him my thanks. Having looked at the leaderboards, I've noticed that some of the top Carl players changed their handles. Although I do have a suspicion on who's who, if anyone can help confirm the identity of a player, that would be greatly appreciated. With that said, the video thread will probably be updated this weekend.

[CP] Carl Clover Gameplay Discussion (Changelog in OP)

Did you mean the EX video thread? I closed it because EX is more or less irrelevant at this point. I'll open up a netplay/misc video thread to make up for it when I get home. -

My match is leading? I didn't think that people wanted to see me get bopped that badly lol. Yeah, I should be free tomorrow.

I'm fine with anyone who I have a good connection with. Shin suggested LK and I know I have a pretty solid connection with him so I'm down to fight LK if he agrees to it. Otherwise, I'm also fine with any other EC player.
