  1. He got extremely complacent when he got his powers. He's got godlike rush-down and zoning tools but he's terrible at mindgames. He has no tactical foresight because his risk is getting put in a position where somebody has to save him or he gets knocked out and his reward is an instant kill. He pulls the wool over your eyes cuz he looks like a fuggin' badass while he does it.
  2. I think he's more pointing out that debates never really continue to completion. They spark up and then die off before anyone's conceded a point. Generalizations are fucking everywhere, and I've started to see them as non-absolute absolutes. i.e. This is something typical, but not necessarily 100% true. As long as the other side gets what you're saying it's irrelevant. Also -- I just realized Hei (BK-201) is American as fuck.
  3. I didn't see Kain's post at first. I thought Naimat was talking to himself lolz
  4. I like how her gargantuan rapist-persona is vulnerable at all times.
  5. ragna sucks everyone should play carl /thread
  6. I just wish this were more realistic . . . I would fucking love this.
  7. So Ragna's the only zoner? Seems legit.
  8. I'm hyped for Guilty Gear, and always down to play it. Regular get-togethers would be pretty sweet, since I won't be able to get on netplay on 360 for awhile. As for Skullgirls, I'll keep playing it, but I don't have much hope for it. Zoning seems way too powerful and mashing seems to be rewarded constantly.
  9. My interest in BB is dwarfed by my hype for P4U and UNiB. Elizabeth seems tailor-made for me and I feel like the game has the potential to explode, and that I'll finally be able to become a solid player. I still enjoy competing and improving in BB, but honestly Haku-men is just starting to feel weird when I see all these other characters who fit my playstyle better. Skullgirls just seems like it'll be dumb fun to pass the time til I can get my hands on Seth and Elizabeth. It's also helping me level up, but at the same time I can't really take it seriously. I'll probably pick up KoF again, since Vocal's getting a copy. Dunno how serious I'll be about it, though.
  10. I played the SHIT out of Battle Network. Oddly, the only things that come to mind when I remember it are the tetris-y upgrades and the character watching the elephant fling its own shit at the zoo.
  11. Congrats, Jackie. How'd everyone else do? Who got first? How was the turnout?
  12. Is that really helpful? It seems to me everybody I've fought just instinctively knew it, especially Goros.
  13. I was more referring to Double's ending. That's some lovecraftian shit right there. And holy fuck, Undernight. Gotta main Seth and sub Yuzu.
  14. The Skullgirls story. . . What in the unholy fuck.
  15. Huh? Not really, I'm still not seeing it. . . For every Jackie/Lumin type vid I've seen, there were 10 more that were informative, pertinent, and practical. If you only enjoy them for amusement, you're missing the point entirely. People who post typical combo videos aren't doing so for 'cred' as entertainers.
  16. Only crazy, out-there combos are impractical, and usually they're only impractical because they're wasteful. Combo vids are extremely useful, and a lot of people just want to contribute to the community. Like Jackie said, you can learn all sorts of set ups and resets from them. All it takes is a hit confirm, and anything in a vid is up for grabs. Don't really see how that's not realistic.
  17. It's okay, Jackie. Your existence is still validated in my book. . . For now.
  18. Does anyone else have to compensate during combos for seemingly every single character? Also, is there a forum specifically for Skullgirls?
