  1. I don't think I got the invite could someone send me another one
  2. In the end though, the real question is, when will we ever need to be using a DP defensively, if anything, the opponent should worry about DP'ing Aigis
  3. I have no idea...how did that even happen?
  4. Yes, there are all over the place, they're watching us as we speak... for some reason they feel like top tiers don't deserve their wins because apparently don't have to work as hard. I don't think we'll get it as bad as Mitsuru though. The other reason is just as you said, they feel we only choose a character to better our chances of winning. I'm not sure how many people I speak for, but I personally don't care that Aigis is top tier, I just choose whoever's most fun (which has landed me squarely in low tier several times I deserve top tier this time). Besides, I've tried picking characters based on tier before, it didn't work out (CSII Bang > Makoto all day) having a character that didn't "fit" me right made me lose more. People sort of got their wish. Nu (sort of) disappeared. People are still waiting for Noel to die. Also...there is nothing wrong with Mu's DP, and I look forward to kicking Yukiko in the face for trying to heal.
  5. Well, this makes things easier for me (my friend wants to main Yukiko).
  6. I get Liz and Kanji, but why Yukiko as one of the best match ups?
  7. I can say this till I'm blue in the face, the people around me get mad at my character choice when I beat them in mirror matches. Still, I'm very excited to play Aigis, she's basically every character I've ever played in one. Resource management like Bang and Johnny (looks a little more difficult than them IMO), great mix-ups like Valentine, and zoning on top of it. Really excited to try her out. @dualseeker: Noel's game play isn't what annoys me, its her whole moe-blob thing she's got going on, I can tolerate the character just fine if you mute the television.
  8. I can't wait for the hate mail "stupid tier whore, play a real character"
  9. I'd like to be added. My skype name is the same as my dustloop name.
  10. I haven't posted in here yet but I think I'll be using #11.
  11. I also wonder what caused this, hopefully it'll be fixed by the time it reaches NA.
  12. OH MY GOD!! A new game and anime, this is the best news of the year (well, if you exclude GG). F**K P4U, who needs a persona when you've got a stand. AND Wham is in this game!! Crap, just add Cars and Girono and I'll play hte hell out of this even with a system like UNS. EDIT: Oh, also, I hope to god they have playable Johnathan and Part 1 Dio. Oh, and Bucciarati.
  13. I'm so ready to have a positive match up against someone.
  14. This comes from playing a lot, the more you plat the more natural it becomes the less nervous you are.
  15. It varies from person to person what you need to learn first. I could give a suggestion though. For Lambda, I'd suggest learning her neutral game first, it's infuriatingly strong, and it will carry you a long way, once you have it down, combos are good to learn, and then pressure and blockstrings afterward because you won't need them too often at beginner level. Learning defense, you will have to work on it, but just starting out, it's not a priority because you won't face offenses where yoiu will need advanced defensive skills, if you insist on learning early though learn instant block, and I suppose learn when to barrier too. With Lambda, I can see barrier as being really good (cause you put them out further and into Lambda's really effective range). Keep in mind that it takes times for all of these things, and if you're like me, you'll likely be mixing the steps, which is perfectly fine. You might want to take reccomendations from someone who's a Lambda player though (I sub Mu, and this has been my progression, the two seem fairly similar so it might be helpful.) Oh, and welcome to BB.
  16. No, you misunderstand, frame advantage refers to how soon you recover if the opponent blocks. negative numbers mean if an attack is blocked the opponent can move/attack first, 0 means you both move at the same time, and positive means you can move first (take advantage of this when the opponent blocks.) I beive Lambda's fastest normal is 5A at 5 frames of start up. 5A is generally a character's fastest normal. Though you may want to take range into account as well (some times they'll be out of your 5A range). If you have 50 meter and want to escape from an opponents offense use her Calamity Sword super (I think that's the name, 632146D is the input) has inviniciblity on start up and is pretty good to escape with, and you can do it mid-air if you end up wanting to escape while in mid air.(I think, I don't play Lambda.)
  17. Well, my above post was mostly meant to be taken as a joke...but I don't see it being used to help close the distance like Hammerfall, I know i remberer reading that some characters can crouch under it, but it now wallbounces so it's better midscreen than it used to be. I do think taking all her mobility was a little overboard, but even with that I can't see Justice as being low teir. She never seemed weak up close, and her zoning game looks strong too. It kinda makes me think of Parasoul in SG (lacks mobility, but is pretty good at any range). Then again, I might be wrong entirely, I don't pay much attention to Justice.
  18. It's not a special though, it's a force break.
  19. I've played for longer than 1 year, just not all at once. And no, you don't have to like a character's nerfs. While I'm at it, just what about May was so hard for you? As for the I-no player, we were all really low level, he didn't have far to go to beat any of us In fact I think the reason he quit may just have been because he couldn't figure out how to get better than where he was at.
  20. In general, there is a situation where most moves in the game are best used, knowing these situations can help you know what you need to do. Check the Lambda boards for what move to use when though cause I don't play Lambda at all.
  21. I agree, right now the changes seem like overkill. At least let her ground dash and give her one airdash (no ground dash + an air dash would be okay too, and pretty unique.)
  22. I never had a difficult time with May, but I guess it comes down to different people having different expirences. I personally don't feel May is more difficult than Johnny in anyway though, combo wise both are easy, but I feel that doing just about everything else is difficult with Johnny. Are you not a Blazblue player as well, just saying. I'll agree GG is the best though, even better than SG. Also, I don't play street fighter so I don't get the reference too much...sorry bout that. Besides, a character being easy to play has nothing to do with balence, May was a strong character so she was nerfed. Eddie is difficult to play as well (Execution is pretty bad with that one, and what to do to summon shadow safely/ if you're ever on defense) and he also had nerfs (and he probably needed them, being top teir and all). The reason other difficult characters like I-no didn't get nerfed is because they weren't considered to be quite as strong as May or Eddie. To illustrate the whole different expirences for different players thing, I had a friend who practiced May for two weeks, and beat my Sol I'd been playing for a year (maybe it's because I didn't know how to fight against may though. The difference from match up to match up in this game is huge compared to BB. I feel I have to adopt a different mindset for every character, and I love it!!). For him it was a pick up and play expirence, though it may be more difficult for other people. I even knew a guy who had an easy time with I-no...on PAD ( I think he was double jointed or something, the only thing he does now is watch MLP though...)
  23. They are, it's more about choose what you use to keep them in the air than just what you're going to hit them with at the end (it's sidewinder). I've played May as well, and she's not all that hard either. So far Johnny is probably the hardest to play/ win with so far out of all of them, then Sol, THEN May. Granted, I'm best with Sol, but I've been playing him forever. There is a learning curve with every character in this game. Have you ever played Sol? If not, then how do you know how difficult it may be? The real easiest character to learn is probably Jam (then once you've learned the difficulty suddenly jumps when people learn how to block. Mid-level and up with Jam can be pretty hard) EDIT: By the way, just wondering what you mean about not disagreeing about learning Johnny? Do you mean you're encouraging me to learn Johnny? If so then thanks.
  24. I thought she lost her airdash too though.
