  1. I ended up with some extra money, so I decided to buy CSE, is there any essintial combos or stuff I need to know transefering from CS@?
  2. Thank you, the only thing I see is that my stick is a VX no a VLX...so does that make much of a difference?
  3. I'm looking to mod my joystick and was wondering if I could get a pro/con list for an octogon restrictor plate. If it makes any difference, I use a Hori VX for Xbox. I'm also looking to dual mod it and I'm wondering how that works. I see a few places to buy a dual-PCB, but I don't know anything about how to put it in and such. I was also looking to change the buttons out with some sanwa or semitsu buttons, how exactly does that work?
  4. I've recently decided that I want to main Jhonny instead of Sol (for being the most swagtastic man in the cast) but I only have the psp version of GG Accent Core, so what kind of things can/should I realistically practice frc timing comes to mind, but are there any other things.
  5. Yare yare daze... I don't know many people who think this way in the fighting game community, generally just don't be adick and people will play with you. I play against beginners all the time, and we have fun. It can even help bring your subs up to par. Just disregard this post... Oh, and if it means anything, I'd play against you if I had PSN and a copy of CSE. I'm totally free at CSE becuase I hardly ever play it, it'd be fun.
  6. Grinding for hours can actually be counter productive. It's like over training in sports. Another random training tip that I got from my old band director is that when practiceing always end with something you really enjoy. It's helpful because it you feel better afterward. Like I always ended practice by bringing in my least faveorite characters and turning teching off. Then I combo to my hearts content.
  7. I agree.
  8. I find it funny that everyone wants to nerf the crap out of Bang. I have some character specific changes in mind, but I haven't really played CSE much, so I'll refrain from it.
  9. A couple more things I thought of FRKZ needs to activate Bang's nox nyctores and Bang's nox should activate full body kamen rider armor. I'd like to see a couple new characters we haven't even met yet, like Tenjo's son. In addition, where's Kokonoe at?
  10. Really? I didn't notice this. Playing GG I always have meter, but with BB I don't have much unless I'm always instant blocking. Though I'm not quite as familiar with GG as BB.
  11. I'd love to see FRC's in the game too, it'd be really cool, though it may mess up that whole beginner friendly vibe BB has going for it. Though FRC D nails would be amazing. However, if FRC's have any real to game play, there would need to be greater meter gain. However, as supers are more prominent in BB's gameplay that may be bad. Giving supers a larger cooldown period (you know the time you don't gain meter as fast) could make them less spamable while also increasing the meter gain to augment FRC's. Meter gain doesn't need to be as great as in GG though, because barrier has it's own gauge. I myself would love to see the throw tech window reduced, and/or removing the gigantic exclamation points. I'd also like to see forward and backward teching enhance so they aren't punishable by everything. I like the idea of having multiple tech options, but neither of these are very useable, neutral tech is about all you can do.
  12. Trust me when I say this works, I did it with Fuurinkazan Bang.
  13. That's a good way to pick characters, I myself am obsessed with ninja so I usually play ninja characters (except Chipp because he's impossibe on my PSP d-pad, Sol I can at least play, and surprisingly I can 8 hit grand viper.) If you really want to, you'll find that Hakumen is a very fun character, and maybe knowing that he actually stands to gain from defense will help you feel less helpless while blocking. than and a single well timed press of the D button can save your butt.
  14. If you don't like to block, I seriously wouldn't recommend Hakumen, defense is very important to him, though he really does it well with his counter drive and the fact he can just sit building meter along with the meter gained from blocking, especially if you instant block. At least thats how I played CS2 Haku (doesn't own CSE). Though if you play him, you might just be able to get blocking into your head as important, but I don't really know how that works.
  15. I understand the problem, getting defense into your head is difficult as Hell!! Then I hit a particularly rough losing streak, and looking back on it i realized that I could have won if I had a more solid defense. I think that made defense become more important in my mind, so it was easier to find when I needed it. The other thing I did was watch Spark in EVO and how his defense was so solid, it's what got me thinking that defense can win matches (well it doesn't really win, but it makes it so you don't lose if that makes sense). Also, you said you play Ragna, so the instant there is a gap you can attempt an escape with Inferno Divider, just be careful of peole baiting it.
  16. The meter gain idea is very interesting, because meter=options in GG, I can see that being a good way to balance him out. Also reduced meter gain might keep him from throwing out FB drills all the time as well (though I don't know how much you're thinking of reducing his meter gain).
  17. Semi-unblockables are okay enough, but totally unblockable is still a little messed up. Of course, if they keep him from doing triple unblockables I'd still be happy.
  18. I don't know, but "because it's been there" isn't really too good a reason. If so I want Sol's dustloop back.
  19. Why would removing unblockables be stupid?
  20. that would be really good for Jhonny, his throw would be like mugging the opponent and taking their money. I think Eddie needs his stun modifier reduced, and some way to remove his unblockables, oh and maybe his 6k (that's the axe/scythe kick right?)could be slower.
  21. So far I've found this true of all people who main ninjas in games I play, but I wasn't really around for GG and the only other game I really play is SG. oh, and hello everyone, it's been forever since I've been in here. I just didn't wanna play CS again, I'll see you all in BB3 though.
  22. Well, I know that, it's just easier to type low health than low defensive modifier (or would you say high defensive modifier its 130 right). They both amount to "die in fewer hits".
  23. I only really played GG on psp before, now that I'll be able to play on my arcade stick I wanna try either Millia or Chipp. I like having mobility, even when I don't do high damage. I'm not too used to low health though (Bang's health is good, and everyone has the same life in SG.)
  24. I want this, but I don't see it happening, only because both would be too good. I'd take higher health over air teleport though.
  25. I have another question, is it a bad idea to use your thumb to press buttons in a six button game while on stick?
