Xrd PS3 Performance Issues and Future Tournament Standard?
IndigoNovember replied to B.Z.B's topic in Guilty Gear General
I really like the idea of Sol needing to take a break after getting hit in the crotch one too many times. -
Now that you have reached that conclusion, maybe you could stop beating a dead horse? I'm pretty sure most Hakumen players don't like the direction that Arc Systems Works is taking him. We've already discussed how discontent we've been with the changes since the release of Chrono Phantasma, so there's really not much point to keep on discussing it. Look at it this way, all you're losing by sticking to Hakumen is your enjoyment of the game at this point. If it's not fun, why play it?

It's not. The game doesn't take away enough health to give you a long enough Overdrive for it. If you do a red lock 5D / 5D[D], Overdrive ends up running out before you can get off the Overdrive Rage Aggressor (pretty sure you need the extra damage from Overdrive Rage Aggressor even with 5D[D] to break 10000). Sure would have been nice if they just set our health at 1% so we could try out more routes. Congratulations (・∀・)ノ

Here's the demonstration combo that they show: 5[C] > AB > 6C > jcABCD > 623C > 623D > 6A > 5C > 5DD > 41236C > 236D > 623C > 6623A > 22D > RC 2363214C The timing on the Overdrive Rage Aggressor is kinda strict. You have to do every move as fast as possible. You also have to NOT do 5D[D] since you'll run out of Overdrive if you do.

Xrd -- question about DLC longevity
IndigoNovember replied to balFrog's topic in Guilty Gear General
DLC characters become part of the regular roster. Makoto, Valkenhayn, and Platinum were DLC characters for Blazblue: Continuum Shift, then were regular characters in Continuum Shift Extend and are still regulars in Chrono Phantasma. Now they could break this trend, but there's no way of knowing if they will at the moment. I believe you're thinking of the character announcer packs. Think Sol shouting "Duel 1" and stuff. -
Alas, one can hope OTL .

http://youtu.be/gm0Vw4wC5hk?t=9m24s Is this 5A hitting crouching Jin? Or is this 5A hitting standing Jin whose animation is crouching but is still considered standing game logic wise? I kinda hope it's the former, but am expecting it to be the latter.

Apparently there are a lot of Mugen changes in CP2: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm24777704 / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVVE7mNNtFs Like Enma being jump cancelable again.

Kinda sounds like Continuum Shift Hakumen.

Should be. I can confirm that it works on every character besides Kagura and Kokonoe who I don't have access to.
-
Something like: 4BC > 236[A] > 6C > j.C > 6B > sj.C > j.D (2919, 20 heat) You have to late jump cancel 6C and do the 1st j.C late as well.

I still loved the fact that when Ada triggered Akumetsu, she would teleport out and leave Carl to take all the damage.

[UNIEL] System Mechanics (Updated: April 20th, 2015)
IndigoNovember replied to Tari's topic in Under Night In Birth
Is this supposed to be "does not cause"? The wording implies such. Everything else made sense to me. Thanks for writing this up. -
Thanks for the clarification. Looks like I should be doing 66B instead of 66C.
-
From my test I have: 236B[C] > 214BD > 2C > 4C > j.B > j.2C > j.C > 66C > j.236A > j.236B (3153, 53.11) 236BD > 236A > 421C > 214B > 2C > 4C > j.B > j.2C > j.C > 66C > j.236A > j.236B (3120, 56.29) *damages for both are non-vorpal I actually haven't been able to get 236BD > 236B[C] >214BD > 2C > 5C/4C > j.B > j.2C > j.C > 66C > j.236A > j.236B to work @_@ . They always tech before 66C can land for me... - Is there a video that shows off j236A > jC > j214B~D at some point? It doesn't look hard to do, but I just want confirmation that I'm doing it correctly. *just waiting for it to be in the combo videos that I haven't fully watched yet OTL .
-
Pretty cool that the official character guide video from French Bread covers Slide Holding and D Cancels. Are you using D cancels (pressing D during j214 to cancel the recovery)?
-
Just tested, the first slash actually appears to be active for ages and is what catches her. So the damage dealt is the same.
-
Some of Broken Maa-kun's combos as transcribed by Kazuhiro would be good. Owner's combos as well. Edit: fixed links being awkward.
-
Random fact of the day: in Vorpal state 2A > 5C usually leads to 1 more damage than 5A > 5C. This is in combos such as this one:

[CP] Hakumen VS Noel: Girl of the Azure
IndigoNovember replied to mAc Chaos's topic in Hakumen Matchups
Unblockables do trigger Akumetsu, they don't trigger Yukikaze.
