[CSE] Noel Vermillion General Gameplay Discussion.
Litherain-XIII replied to Chaoschao222's topic in Archive
to be honest i dont think EX is gonna be patched at all. they too focused on Xblaze or the simple fact that they did enough repatching to be doing this again unless they wanna really go there but i dont think they plan to repatch this time. i rather they let it be and go straight into bb3 fuck a patch cuz itll just kill the series entirely pretty much at this point. -

um i could suggest setting it to 75 or 80 instead then build up to 100. otherwise enough has been said for any other concerns upon this matter -

ok found another variation of the smp. uses the 22b~C as the repeat loop. can be looped only twice without burst involved. can be looped about 4 times with 2 bursts. also found the maximum reps i got for optic barrel loop was about 4 or 5 before it drops. -

yeah i just tested this and this is scaling on averge of 5 to 6k with nearly 100 heat gain meterless this is actually pretty useful in the corner and can set up a tech trap depending on the method used to get this smp thing going. so far i see 5 situations i came up with that does this. btw just wanna make sure that everyone reconize that 22C as a stand alone is a smp and that a 22B ~ C the C part of this notation is not being counted as the same move as a raw 22C. -

actually d.5a > d.5b > d.5a > d.5b is a more cleaner drive blockstring since the d.6a variation is punishable. this variation however is gapless and cant be punished. -

well usually when you are about to do into the loop from a 6C, try to input 22B(1) before the opponent even touches the ground. if you need help you can just catch me on psn and i can demonstrate and help guide you through the steps -

perhaps. well toan if you would be so kind to give me a few hints at where exactly the drives would work at in your experiences with other noels that got them benifits id appreciate it cuz im pretty clueless on how to beat your lambda in particular as i find the others lightly a little easier to get to but yours just keeps me out T_T -

Tested it and the hitstun off BT(1) is long enough to follow up on it with 2B as long as you are in the same range as maybe a ragna 5A or closer. the opponent cant mash a dp or DD out of the hitstun of BT(1) i checked so thats good. in particular against bang he cant mash a D guardpoint after BT touches him so its gapless pretty much unles he uses a D before the BT(1) initially comes out so look out for that. also tested against tager and he cant mash a 360 or 720 out of it as well. but the thing is they can still block the RC > 2B follow up but by then they may feel itchy for a dp or super should they happen to block the follow up. as for the block stun of BT(1) if you ask me the frame advantage feels more like a +1 on block wen i compared the 2A blockstun and then a 2C blockstun then a 2C(1) RC and 2C(2) RC to see if they are any differences. i noticed that the levels of the atks are playing a part of the blockstun. 2A has lv1, 2C has lv3, and BT is lv4. when i used a 2C its block stun lasted slightly longer than a 2A both are +1 on block but its because of their levels. that would explain why BT(1) feels gapless when RC afterwards when attempting a 2B follow up. i honestly believe BT(2) the blowback hit is the actual -13 they are refering to in the frame data. otherwise i assume BT(1) is perhaps +1 on block or it feels that way. -

well last time i check man trying to chase you down with a 2D > AST i got hit for free. pretty much 4D isnt really usable in our matches cuz every time i chose to use it i got CH out of it and the funky clash of it with your 4B just basically crosses it out as a reliable option. the only time i could think to use 2D is then you actually in my face but i got slammed in the face with a cresent blade and trying to 4D that is impossible since it whiffed twice wen i tried that. the only drive that served some use was a j.5D otherwise throwing drives out for the hell of it in the MU isnt such a great idea imo based on the results i got out of it lately. -

uh dude did it sound like i was offended? dont think so and besides i use it when necessary. the only reason i said resist was because when i fight lambdas and hit a D majority of the time im the one getting hit not my oppenent so i dont use D on her often cuz of the fact i dont think there are alot of areas in which i can against lambda and get away with it without running into a D sword or a 4B or whatnot. otherwise its whatever i deal with it like every other day till i learn the MU. _-_ -

tbh i dont like the idea of using D on lambda it makes me feel alot more vunerable to getting hit for free in alot of situations if she isnt directly in my face.( usually this the case most of the match in my matches) -

lol well something i tried alot that has worked alot is staggering and into early mix ups and throwing this in relatively early 5A > 2B > 6C > RC > 6B. this seems to be pretty consistent since most would think noel is gonna go 6c > 2c > 5c.... etc so they most likely would be blocking low. Just thought id throw that out there lol
