As far as I know, Aigis can be rewarded for her DP if it switches her into Orgia mode. Everyone else would have to do counter hit DP into super cancel. It's not AUB. Most characters 2B are their AUB, with some exceptions being specials and supers probably. DPs aren't AUB. Is Yu's AoA used for AA? I've only seen 2B.

Research more. There are a lot of things that go into being good at a fighting game and researching is one of them. Research players you're going to be facing. Research spacing of your moves. Research combos. Research good players. Research your own mistakes. The interesting thing most people who are good at fighting games is that they don't necessarily play their main character, they play the entire cast to gain a better understanding of what other characters can and cannot do. If you want to be "Stream Worthy" you'll have to do quite a bit of homework. Practicing is more than just combos. It's understanding spacing, neutral game, techs, frame traps, air unblockables, punishes, counter hits, fatal counter hits, zoning, pacing, momentum, not auto-piloting, oki, set-ups, yomi, cross-ups, cross-unders, the list goes on and on. There's a lot you need to understand about your character and others, so it's something a lot of FG experience will give you, but often times, you'll have to find these things on your own. Dustloop will give you combos, but they won't give you many of those things I listed, even a friend's advice can't help you with those things. It's mostly stuff you have to understand yourself. FGs are really self-dependent. Kind of like how I learned how to play Noel to defeat Noel. Always have a goal as you're going into training mode. Don't rush it. One step at a time so you don't forget any of the lessons you've learned.

Yes, Akihiko and Labrys with red axe super are quite good at doing this.

Can't block during jump start-up, assuming jump start up for P4U is 5-frames. How about a max distance sweep? It has decent range as far as sweeps go.

It's AchedSphinx. Just made the account.

Yeah, I've been watching Brett's stream, and he uses super cancels for his DP, OMC doesn't work like RC does in BB. From the high level Aigis play, it seems opponents don't react to her DP that well, maybe because most don't spam it a lot. As you say, like any DP, it can be punished if you recognize it. If you don't spam Aigis' DP a lot, I don't think people will react to it easily. However, if in the corner, you can easily be punished if they block. Yes, Aigis doesn't necessarily need to DP to escape pressure, she can always quick escape, or short hop if you think a low is coming. Her pokes are fairly fast as well and if she's in Orgia mode, she can use speed to escape, kind of like a Tao in that regard. edit: also remember chicken blocking doesn't work well in P4A since you can't block for the first five frames of start-up.

I would assume Liz's damage isn't that easy to acquire at high level play, but once she does it's really high. Kind of like Lambda, who has incredible damage, but difficult ways to get it.
-
It pushes her quite a distance away. The awesome thing about it is that it's defense and offense because it switches her into Orgia mode and into the offensive. It's a really good DP because of that. No one else can change the momentum so easily off a DP. Litchi's DP was just lame because she couldn't RC it and it basically kills her defense since the staff goes away.
-
It may be punishable. I haven't seen people do it that easily though, from the many Aigis vid's I've seen. It is punishable if Aigis is in the corner though. If her DP is blocked, she can't OMC it like in BB, for instance, it's only special cancel to save herself the punish. Yukiko can more than likely punish it since she has projectiles, but Aigis' DP seems like an annoying one to punish.
-
That's the most hilarious thing I've read all day. I wish I could sig.

Aigis' defense is actually quite good, mainly because her defense becomes her offense if it switches her into Orgia Mode, she can follow up with a combo and keep Yukiko contained. Even if Yukiko baits her DP, Aigis gets enough distance away that it can be difficult to punish. She's one of the few who have that option. As you say though, it is not steam roll, you still have to apply thinking to win, and don't waste bullets on silly things. Aigis with no bullets could bring the match-up closer to even.
-
That doesn't work. With Melee you're talking about a local scene right? In those instances, people rarely cry fowl over such and such character being OP, they'd rather save something like that for the internet so they can voice their opinions openly. It's not much different than the anime FGC or SFFGC, they may not say a character is good, but they will under frustration and when safely behind a computer monitor.

Aigis can easily kill off Yukiko's persona. Yukiko without a persona is a dead Yukiko because Aigis can set the pace of the match up, she does more damage, has stronger mix-up, and her projectiles come out really fast compared to Yukikos, and lest not forget how good Orgia mode is. It's like she becomes Taokaka with better offense and defensive capabilities vs a Lambda. That's my take on it at any rate.

I think people just dislike how bad Noel's spam drive and how none can forget how gdlk 2D was in CS2. Due to Aigis' mechanics I think she'll be top tier for quite awhile, unless they nerf Orgia mode length, so much so it's basically a gimmick ha. We should brag about how much salt. Make a tally sheet or something. Could be fun. Aigis might have a rough time with s.lab. Since her projectile options will be limited it, but she does have an easy way to get in and out, and she can break s.lab's persona easier than more. Best match ups for Aigis would be Yukiko, Liz, and Kanji. Rest should slightly in her favor or even.

You know not the rage induced by CT Nu.
-
Qualified enough, since she's even against herself and probably Mitsuru. Against Mitsuru it could be in Aigis' favor though since she has the zoning edge and stronger pressure. Against people who lack projectiles and are easily zoned she has a much clearer advantage. I would say Yosuke is rough, but Aigis does more damage and has stronger pressure, plus her DP is rather good and hard to punish. The salt will roll in, but Aigis is a legit character that takes a lot of skill to use. Some of her combos I've seen on the jp wiki are insane. She gets good damage off mix-up, which will make a lot of people mad. Still, she ain't no CT Nu, so the salt won't be as bad. I still get salt from Lambda wins from time to time, I expect the same for Aigis.
-
Even or better. I don't think she has a bad match-up. A lot of good ones though.

If you look at Mitsuru's command list, it's much smaller than the rest of the cast, so I already assumed she would be easy to use. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing, but at least she's accessible. We'll probably see more Mitsuru's online because of it, granted.

From the streams I've been watching, Aigis matches her tier position quite well. Man, it'll be tough facing off against her for some Aigis mirrors. It'll be worse than Lambda mirrors. Should be interesting.

Invite me. I'll make a Skype soon.

That's some Lambda stylin. She comes with different sets of glasses right? It's good to have some customization in this game. Though I don't know if I'll use Aigis' glasses, she looks pretty awesome without them :P
-
Well, it'll be the first time I'll consider buying DLC colors if they're actually good. I might even do the same for the glasses. I want my Aigis to be stylin' while she's owning everyone.
-
Aren't there some DLC colors, like 8 more colors? Or is that it?
-
Always got the ability to make your persona color unique at least :D
