6D > 236D doesn't work. 236D doesn't work in this match up so you shouldn't waste too much time doing it. 214D~C can be useful up close if the Hakumen thinks you're doing the fast one and he counters it badly. Since you can't keep him contained with 236D your best bet of winning are throws, anti-airs, and 4B. I think the best way to win the match-up will rely mostly on Lambda's mix-up and when you have the life lead, force Hakumen to make mistakes. 6A and 5A are good things to have. Also, don't ever do Calamity Reversal in this fight. That kick j.214 goes through it. As does his counters. Here are some fun facts to get away from an up close Hakumen. If he does stomp-the-yard overhead and you block it, it's -4 on block, don't attempt to counterattack, IAD over him, otherwise he'll do that counter low thing. Or you can probably dash and throw him. Other times after the overhead he does 3C, depends I suppose. His 3C is also bad on block, but be mindful of his counters. You'll probably win by doing fullscreen hit confirms into combos. Best way to win. Also, if Hakumen has 4 stars, you can poke with drives, but don't do the follow-ups or you'll get hit. I'm not sure if it's even possible to punish him for doing the move if he hits a projectile, so I normally just gain distance. Also watch out for the wave, it does 2500. 4B[2] is fairly decent for this match-up I think because his low counter doesn't work on it, so he will have to guess if you'll use it or a low. Though, the safest alternative if you're going in close is to throw. @mAc, yeah Lambda has a crazy long hitbox for air-throw. She can also air-throw if the opponent is behind her when she does it. I've done it a few times. I think this is Hakumen specific but sometimes 214D or 214D~C for Lambda will make Hakumen whiff a grab or an attack. It's really rare though but it's happened to me.

I'm getting a 3DS when Paper Mario comes out. Though, I'll just get a 3DS XL next month and that new mario platformer, looks fun. I think Kingdom Hearts released on it as well. And I'll get that Ocarina of Time 3DS game, haven't played that game in 10 years so I thought I'd relive my childhood :P

[CS2/CSE] Lambda Critique And Self-Improvement Thread
AchedSphinx replied to HexaNoid's topic in v -13-
Seems like you don't know how to use combos that well. For instance, you did a RC j.214D and didn't follow up with 5C in the corner, it would have netted you a great deal more damage. Also, some of your execution is off as well. I noticed one where you could have won the round with an easy combo follow up, but you almost lost the round because of a mess up. You're also auto-piloting air drives assuming that the opponent will be in that place when Lambda auto-corrects herself. In most cases you could have simply landed and did 6A anti-air or blocked to prevent some of those losses. I noticed how you tried to bait a burst or thought he was going to burst or something, you were better off doing a drive combo after that RC, that way they can't burst. You're not using positioning and spacing to your advantage. I know Litchi can be rough but it seemed pretty easy for that Litchi to predict what you'd do. That's all I got. -

I think the pace is there because the highest health pool is 10500 and the damage is fairly high. Fun factor should be as well because it's a new game and each of the thirteen are unique. Top tier in P4A doesn't look as crazy as something like CT Nu vs Tager. Or better yet CT Carl vs Tager. -

Looks like ASW is learning from it's mistakes then. Though maybe P4A is similar to CT because the speed at which the rounds end since the damage is roughly the same as Extend, except much lower health values per character. 7k Elizabeth lol. -

Yeah, the wonderful perma Danger, so that people would save their bursts for when they really needed it. P4U has a nice system set up though. No danger status though -

I can't believe I forgot the autocorrecting 5C. I miss that. In CT rounds ended pretty fast since most combos could take you down half or more off any kind of starter. So CS seems slower by comparison. Also, the top three tier character were just really top-tier godmode status. I know a few who quit CT because Nu got nerfed into Lambda. True story. -

Yes, she was the first pure zoner I've ever played as. Have you ever been back to CT to play her? She does so much damage and gains a crazy amount of heat, it's hilarious. But that teleport thing is where fun was had. I miss it at times. Last time I actually played though, I never lost as Nu, so it got boring. 5DD > 4DD > 236D owns everyone it seems. -

True, Rachel, Arakune, and Nu all had that close-range weakness. I don't remember if Nu had that DP gravity, but she could easily get out of corners with that act parser. One cannot forget the notorious 2C :P -

You know, the tabs that differentiate each fighting game forum. BB was always above the others, now P4A is above it. Also, you'd probably not want it that similar to CT, zoners dominated that. Well, Nu was just broken. Actually, I don't remember much of CT's play style except the speed at which rounds ended. -
Yeah, that may have been the case. It just randomly got laggy near the end. Such a shame. Felt bad about that 4D > 4D win. How sly. Sorry I couldn't accept your invite to join your room. Tectal was on a roll and I didn't want to ruin that for him. Next time for sure. Next room I make will be without spec spots with just 4 slots. GGs to everyone in room: GoldChampion200, Torko, Tectal, mAc.

Yeah, kind of how I stuck to Lambda. Robo girls are fun in general. Though I did notice that P4A column is now about BB. I guess the hype has overwhelmed BB! On a side note, famitsu gave P4A 9/9/9/9, so looks good :D -
Yeah, if he loses once then the winner has to suffer mirror migraines lol.

If you set a LCD TV to game mode, does that reduce the input lag? I never really notice any on mine so I was curious. -
There's only a spoonful. Too much and you could have high blood pressure.

Yeah you can. I've seen it in a few videos.

I loved that round where he did like 20 grabs. It was like ring around the rosie for awhile there. Thanks for letting me practice the rushdown. I'm getting better :D GGs to Rawr, GoldChamp, Toan, and others I may have faced this week. Was good to come back :D

True, once she has sickle storm going and has momentum it's pretty tough to take it back. I don't personally like them because I always think of what the other Lambda can do and I end up losing in the act of thinking. I'm pretty bad against mirrors these days. Half the time though, it's just one Lambda destroying the other though. Kind of like Mu vs Lambda. You're probably not utilizing your momentum properly. If she's at the momentum it's tough, but your best be is to use drives wisely instead of whatever way you want. If you have the moment try not to let it go. Completing a combo with air ender basically gives you it because Mu has little options when Lambda can do 6D across the screen. A smart Mu won't jump-in wake up and a bad one will keep doing it until it works. Once you have momentum, don't let it go, keep up the pressure and you'll win. Also remember Mu has a DP that's fairly easy to bait. -

Problem with them is that they have to get set-up for that. Lambda is straight forward out the gate. Lambda can stop both if she guesses right and then she's at the advantage. It would be interesting to have another zoner, but what else could be offered I wonder. -

If you get cursed from a distance it doesn't prevent your escape. If he curses you up close you won't get to escape. Basically how it goes. Up to the Arakune to choose how he wants to curse. Though I haven't played an Arakune in awhile. They're a rare commodity. Might be able to sell them for 100000 gold on D3. -
