I'm free tomorrow, so I'll test that setup vs a lot of different options. I still think a Randomizer variant could work. I think some of the combos in this version are kinda wonky, but overall, it's not too bad. You just kinda end up going down the same 2-3 routes anyway. I agree with Omnix on the reward for hitconfirming though, at least to some extent. I just wish Liz got something midscreen. Maragi oki midscreen was pretty cool in P4U1. I wish we still had something like that. I suppose you can argue that you can just stick 2D on to the end of a lot of combos, but it's not as good imo. @TD: I don't think maragidyne oki works anymore. I've tried both awakening & normal versions. I think our best bet for corner oki is 2[C] or awakening 236B.

Well I was mashing DP w/ Narukami just to show that that setup can get around Narukami's DP. Maybe I'd get more accurate results if I had a stick w/ turbo buttons or something. I was mashing as fast as possible, though. I used 214AB. A doesn't freeze long enough to allow you to setup 236B. I wanna try Randomizer on oki too...

If you're a total execution scrub like me, you'd be happy to know that you can "bootleg" d garu combos in this version the same way you did in P4U1. 8~2 works if 9~2 is too hard (yay!). To be quite honest, I haven't seen anything beyond the old garu elevator that existed in P4U1 (and I'm not sure if this counts as a loop since it's 2 diff versions). I do agree with you though. There's not really any reason to do garu loops in this version since there're better combos. Elizabeth's bad MUs from P4U1 are still applicable to this game, at least in my opinion.

I'm not an expert on this kind of thing by any means, but it's basically like this: the more prorated a combo is, the faster the hitstun of the combo decays, and the moves in the combo begin to do less and less damage. So, therefore, if you tried looping awakening garu, the damage most likely wouldn't be good, and the combo would have to be really short because it would be heavily prorated and drop if it went on for too long. In P4U, the closer to 0 a proration value is, the better it is.

Strictly speaking from a frame data perspective, looping garu in awakening isn't as good as doing it outside of awakening (or as good as looping it in the first game). It's like 500 or 600 P2 in awakening, compared to the 100 P2 outside of awakening (this is the same value that it has in P4U1 as well).

I want to find a way to combo into 2C>236AB from SB Randomizer. I agree with you guys on how deadly negative penalty is. There's a lot of potential for robbery if you can land paralysis+negative penalty+fear. FC throw combo w/out awakening already does like 4k, so it'd hit for a little over 6k in negative penalty. Maybe you'd run the game back on 2 combos without ever entering awakening . I'm still kinda iffy on wail in this version. On the one hand, you can still hit 7.5k with wail ender, but it costs all your meter. I suppose it doesn't really matter if you mind charge when you have high HP though. I dunno. I'll see how I feel when console comes out I guess. Btw, you guys should enter tournaments if they're near you (and you can afford to go of course). Not everyone has a local scene; you should utilize it to level up if you can . I think you're confusing Damosu for Okusan. Okusan plays Minazuki now, and he hasn't gone back to Liz yet. I thought Damosu was the sole Liz who made it into Arc Revo too. I could be wrong though.

I already pre-order the Japanese limited edition, so yeah. I'll be getting it. I plan to get the 360 NA version too, though. I think Damosu went for Hama combos since S.Mitsuru can kill Liz off of 1 hit (w/ shadow rampage). Seemed like the best option I guess lol. Edit: I'm willing to bet that Elizabeth vs a bunch of shadow characters will play out this way. The shadows that can pop 8k+ off of rampage pretty much turn the match into "who can land the first hit?".

Well besides Damosu, I think Hiyuki is a very good player as well. There's an Elizabeth player who plays at A-Cho who's good as well, but I don't know his name. The same goes for that sub 20 PSR Liz that plays at Osaka Umeda.
