  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyticFvJvUk combo starting at 1:11 -- how come you ended this with DHD? 2:07 (last hit) -- you had tension, so if you weren't sure about whether you could do the 5H, you could just BBU. i don't know if it's a difference in playstyle between what I would do and what you do, but you don't really throw much at all, and you don't seem to backdash or FD jump when you're being pressured. Actually, it's like there's no fear of throw mix-up, for both sides. But I'm aware that it can go the other way, too -- i.e. you guys are solid enough that you've managed to minimize the risk from throwing each other. Any thoughts?

  9. i really, really enjoyed this movie, even though i'm not really familiar with millia's combos for the most part. the music was kinda neat (never heard this style before) so it made the movie unique, for me. i'm a bit split on the editing -- i liked the 3D stuff, and most of your usage of sprites was cool (a few times it seemed unnecessary, or maybe i didn't understand why you used the sprite), but you used some sort of effect that moved the screen around while you were doing combos, and that was a bit distracting for me. like i said, i'm not too familiar with the combos, but some the set-ups looked cool and the combos were cool/funny (potemkin :grin: ), so good job keep it up, your style is getting better all the time!

  11. for voice sets, you can ask in the Audio/Video Help & Request thread, but i'm not guaranteeing anyone will be able to help you. there really isn't any sort of online resource centre that has the voice sets available, so it's "hit or miss". for wallpapers, you can try www.guiltygearx.com -> Arcade and browse around for downloadable stuff. (you mean official artwork as wallpapers, right? otherwise, you can try the wallpaper stickied thread in the Zepp Museum forum.)
  12. we're talking about f.s/6H -> iad combos. but since you brought it up, how do you kinda hit confirm CH f.S xx tatami? For me, the tatami is the hit confirm :S
  13. Jethro Tull is a new one for BGMs, so that was an interesting choice. i don't really know anything about Jam combos, but for what it's worth it looked pretty damn cool to me lol.
  14. lulz bearded testament is almost as scary-looking as the bearded lady. um, kinda ended on a weird note. less effects would be nicer, too. there were some references that i didn't get (e.g. the wrestling one), but if you're making the video for your friends then that's your call, i guess.

    Slayer AC Combos

    You can do 448236+P/K for BDC Mappa, if you really wanted to. The things that you want to input to have a BDC mappa happen are: (1) backdash (2) jump (3) 236+P/K Now obviously, you have to do (1) first. However, the order of (2) and (3) is interchangeable, because you can't cancel a backdash with mappa, so the jump input takes priority and that's where the BDC comes from. Since you can cancel jump start-up with specials, that's where the bdc mappa happens. So, cancelling jump with a special is a bit tight, but it can be done. (Slayer's jump start-up is... 4 frames? and the motion of going up then down->forward is a bit awkward.) However, 442369+P/K is easier, or at least more popular.
  17. connecting 6H -> iad.j.S will work on everyone standing except for Faust and Zappa. It will also work on Potemkin when he's crouching. Unfortunately, against May, even though j.S will connect, nothing else will connect after the j.S, so it's not worth trying. It's also distance dependent, so if you're trying to do it in training mode, you have to make sure you're at the default starting distance, or around there. By the way, 6H -> iad.j.P works, is easier, and if you hit 6H against a crouching opponent, the j.P will whiff but you'll be sorta safe (at least, safer than if you whiffed a j.S). If you're positive the 6H will hit them standing, then don't worry about it; it's just something to keep in mind. Regarding f.S, that only works on counter hit. lol Good luck hit-confirming that. The only CVs I remember seeing f.S -> iad combos are one from #R, and the first AC CM, where Baiken put Potemkin into counter hit state with Baku.
