  1. Persona 4 Arena isn't as great as everyone says it is. It's good, but not THAT good. I'm staying on the BB train for sure. And Makoto still rocks for me, even in Extend. I don't care if she's bottom or top tier really. She's in the most awesome tier there is. THE MAKOTO TIER!!! So I'm not going to whine. I'd rather have a character who is fun to play as, than have a braindead character who has flashy combos and just ahnihilates everyone with little to no skill with immense tourney wins. It makes the game boring. I play Makoto for the fun of it, so we should just get along and stop whining! Yeah, she needs buffs here and there, I can agree on that, but nothing to start a war over. In my opinion, she's still a very capable fighter, just requires a higher degree of skill to use this time around, but that is exactly what makes her a fun choice. (EDIT: Bullet looks like shit as a design for me. Plain as day, little to no personality, weird fight style, awful outfit, etc. She can't hold a candle to Makoto.)
  2. So, they are pretty much just stacked on top of eachother? if so, how do I move one without moving them all at once? (EDIT) Ooooh, just now found them all in animation playback. Now all I need to do is find a way to separate them from eachother. Is there a way to do that? (EDIT#2) AAAAND FOUND IT! Trying to optimize the difference had all parts selectable! Great! Don't think I can thank you enough for these fun little sprites Circuitous!
  3. Opened with gimp, so they are in seperate folders? (I'm still pretty new to gimp, so I am still pretty unfamiliar with it)
  4. Hopefully I did this right. Tell me how I did everyone. http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/260/2/0/makoto_nanaya_re_colored_by_eliteteutonicknight-d5f336e.png
  5. Thanks again for the sprites and other stuff Circ! Oh, and is there a way to get access to the other facial features? (like mouths, eyes, etc...) Because I check the layers, but they don't seem to be there. Here's one example, it has only this facial expression. (and lmao, she looks like someone is eating her out...)
  6. http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/260/3/5/hakumen_unmasked_by_eliteteutonicknight-d5f2wrj.png Done, hopefully it's good enough!
  7. This is REALLY nice. Thank you Chao!!!
  8. Shadow's got a neat design I think. He's awesome. Hakumen as Onslaught!!!
  9. All Green can be parried and countered also, but due to All Green's speed, it reserved mostly for the pyschicly-gifted
  10. Practice. By practice, I mean play against good players, specifically the ones who pick the characters you have problems against. If you don't find anyone good, or just don't have connection, a good way to find openings and gaps on all the characters is take them to practice mode, train on each of them one at a time, about a good 4 hours each, with each hour an increasing difficulty. Set it like a normal match, but don't worry about losing, just keep trying. This will not guarantee too much success against actual players, but it will give you a good idea of what these characters are capable of. Once you know how they work, you can read them like a book. Also, learn defensive techniques as well. I'm sure everyone on this forum can give you REALLY good pointers on offense and defense. I learned tons on dustloop already. But in closing, you can learn from good opponents or even by just watching matches. Fightings games are not learned immediately, that's for sure...
  11. I'd stick with her just cause' she looks better than Ragna does, lol. Kidding aside, whenever I played Ragna briefly, he feels almost too easy to use. Low health? So what, the guys drains life anyways, so it doesn't bother him much, and his offense is retardedly good. Not to mention he is REALLY fast for how much power he has. Range is also good. The guy is pretty much "Easy Mode". I still prefer my skill-based fighters like Makoto, Hakumen, Valk, and Tsuabaki, so much more rewarding to win with in my opinion. Tsubaki needs more love.
  12. So, is Tsubaki actually better now? Or worse because she lost her unblockables? Because I've been wanting to try her, but in the previous games, she is lacking when compared to many others of the cast. Plus, I like obscure characters, I've never found very many Tsubaki mains, so I may look into learning her just for a bit of change. She seems fun.
  13. Well I'm probably not going to spoil the whole thing, I kind of want to be surprised by how she turns out. But from what I see, the gameplay looks nice and deeper than it already was, so I'm pleased with how it is turning out. Gonna play Persona 4 Arena until then, with a bit of Extend along the way. And the way Chaos explained how the new "Overdrive" feature is going to work, it sounds devastating in Makoto's case.
  14. Well, that's not very fair... Lightning arrow is already useless, why nerf another move that did not need to be nerfed? It amost seems like they are making Makoto bad on purpose. And she's the only character I really enjoy playing.
  15. There's not a specific release date for the states yet for console, is there? Because I really want this game. Blazblue is finally being updated after like 3 games.
  16. Sounds interesting, and useful. New combo routes are something I really want to try.
  17. Comepletely agreed. It's one of the hardest moves to pull off in the entire game other than a few of Tager's grapples. Better combo ability would really be apprreciated too. (edit) Catch time needs to be extended a little, 1/4 a second is pretty damn precise.
  18. Full invincibility during catch and Space Counter would be great.
  19. What they did to her in Extend was overkill.
  20. Great, more nerfs... But new moves are always welcome. I hope she's more flexible this time around, then I'll be happy. But that new Cosmic Ray move... How much distance does it cover? Half-screen perhaps? Maybe 1/3?
  21. Just now picked up on Tager of all people, love using him against my friends, same with Arakune. As for Persona 4, I am really liking Kanji so far from what I see, I may actually buy that game now. I got too many mains... I can't really just pick my one and only. lol
  22. Nice work Circ. And THANK YOU!!!
  23. Fight against bang was NICE. I commend you on your skill.
  24. Orb is more usful in this fight. So is the parry, the way Valk keeps attacking, he's basically parry-bait. Just avoid getting hit, the old fart can actually hit quite hard... And his LONG combos annoy me. Fight is pretty balanced between the two. You have more or less range, but Valk has less defence himself, but higher attack power. As Crosell said... "This is a strong momentum match up. Keep him cornered and limiting his wolf form movements are key to success in this match up. Most valks with be switching between wolf form and valk form constantly so you need to switching game plans as it goes and remembering your options and what you can do. He is extremely scary and great at busting primers with his 6c pressure in the corner, keep an eye out for those. Once you start your pressure just go in and keep him on his toes." Nice explanation. I forgot to mention his Guard-Primer busting.
  25. She is certainly more limited in this one than in CS2. But Her Comet Cannon mix-ups do tons of damage. They are indeed escapable, but if your opponent falls for it, it's half their health gone. And it's really easy to pull off, but I'm sure you all know it already. Basically; Comet-Cannon > Lvl3 Break Shot *wall bounce on counter hit* > quickly dash up, and then give them Hell with whatever torment you can think up. Highest damage output I got is 4900 or so. Second highest I got is nearly 6k (same combo, but with air throw added. Labled as second-highest because air throw is escapable.) *Air throw does 2000 damage alone. Damn!* Hopefully they beef her up in the next installment, but she's not as bad in Extend like everyone else was telling me. I personally think Tsubaki needs to be beefed up too.
