  1. Holy crap. That's much better than the parry we are stuck with now. I think it should be comboable by standard, but give it worse proration, since 4.6k meterless off one catch is pretty crazy, lol. CS1 introduced me to Makoto, but I never knew you could get that much damage off of the parry, may have to look into it!
  2. Baiting bursts is one of her specialties. Once you know when bursts are coming, you have so many ways to beat them clean. ...Still miss old Lightning Arrow. :/ Of all things Makoto lost, this one was big, and used to be fun to use. Is it at least comboable in OD like the good ol' days?
  3. Oh, that one is gone? That's one less to worry about, but there might be more thanks to gameplay changes that people don't know about yet. Because Tao now has a brand new corner loop, so that kind of sucks... I don't really like loops anyways, but I'd like Makoto to have one to give the other player using a loop on me a taste of his own medicine. But I'm more interested in Makoto's defensive attacks getting a lot better, they are a lot less effective than they should be.
  4. I probably wouldn't mind if the parry loop came back now. It's not like they removed anyone else's loops anyways, because last time I checked, Carl, Tao, Litchi, and Ragna still have theirs. I would like to see more of those useful kicks of hers too, the j.B and 3C are really useful. So, is the parry any better this time, or is it still pretty much a free counter hit for the opponent like in Extend?
  5. All they need to do is make the parry actually work and make her DP a crapload stronger. Having the shortest range along with the weakest, most vulnerable DP sounds like a handicap. I'm totally liking her overall improvements from Extend though. Definitely. edit; Lambda is kind of dumb, no matter who you use against her, except maybe Haku and Haz. Projectiles that can combo on the press of a button is such a blessing.
  6. And if it Wall-Sticks, that's even less recovery for the opponent. Shooting Star is going to be a deadly counter move now that we don't need AV to pull it off. I'm assuming it's still crap on block, but if it's used correctly, it's going to be scary. And is Stargazer (the move, not person) turned to crap, or is it still comboable?
  7. That's not TOO bad... I thought we lost something major for a second. Do you know if Lightning Arrow is useful again? I mean it had SOME use in Extend, but was pretty much "last ditch" for neutral game if you wanted to be unpredictable. I really hope it is useful again, because that attack needs to combo normally, without the need for a counter, and its usefulness would increase three-fold.

  9. Right on, and even so, tiers shouldn't stop people from enjoying the character at all. (Didn't stop me from playing Makoto in Extend.)
  10. In a friendly way of course, ha. I don't disrespect the characters any less, because in Blazblue, everyone is equally annoying to fight against, because everyone's style has some sort of gimmick that will seem cheap if you're unfamiliar with the game, or the style. But those two deserve special mention in Extend. I fell victim to GETB many times... Although, Ragna isn't AS BAD as everyone told me he was in Extend. Just a bit stronger than he usually is, which caught me by surprise when I first played.
  11. Either way, his fight style interests me. Constantly damaging the opponent sounds fun, and is a much-needed playstyle. His diversity is much-appreciated by me. And it sounds like he is not just another dumb, scrub-friendly character who wins off of random Distortions and lucky fatals.
  12. Amane's the most complex out of the new characters, so naturally people are inevitably going to suck while using him at first. Same case with Carl, players using him are either going to be really good, or really bad, and Amane just needs work to be effective, likewise. He still has a lot of undiscovered techs and strategies, so there is bound to be lots of exploring to do after the game is out. Besides, the chip damage alone is too good for him to be simply labeled as bottom, that makes him extremely dangerous at lower health levels, especially when he goes into OD and starts chipping you to death in the corner, realizing there's not much you can do about it. That alone is intimidating, and intimidation IS a factor for sure. Overall, I'm actually looking forward to his addition to the series, I like more complex fighters, because they take time to learn and master, which is fun to me. Just not as complex as Carl... Never really wanted my fingers turning into pretzels just to pull off one combo, too extreme. Amane is perfect.
  13. Litchi and Ragna are for chumps anyway. And I know what you mean about Litchi. I hate 5-minute long combos... And Makoto is not the only one Litchi gives fits to, Jins and Noels hate her too. Doesn't ALWAYS mean I hate fighting the character, her combo ability is just ridiculous sometimes. As for Ragna, it's only his attack power and ease of use combined with his overwhelming speed that gets me, and his combos are far longer than they need to be honestly... Btw, in Chrono Phantasma, did Corona Upper get a priority boost or any more uses?

  16. Idk if I count, because her lack of clothes is what caught my attention, and made me want to try her out, and her fight style and everything else is what made me keep her as a main. It's also the damn tail of hers. I can't say "no" to the tail.
  17. As long as she's better overall and fun to play again at the same time, I'm happy! Hell, she's back to her old brutal self from what I see. Screw the early tiers, she's pure fricken' win so far in my opinion.

  19. Wasn't Matsu originally a Bang player? I recall the name. edit: Post from awhile back before someone else answered my own question... My mistake. So does 2B really have somewhere near 90 proration? If that's so, then we finally have a viable low attack!
  20. From the vids alone, things are looking up for us. Anyone found any DECENT Makoto vs Izayoi vids yet? All the vids I found of hers are nothing worth watching. She's basically a training dummy... >_<#
  21. That's what I'm excited about. She looks far better than her Extend form with just the new combos alone, and these are just day one. Can't wait to see more.
  22. The player in the previous video against Bullet just sucks, that's all. I saw several instances where I would have parried the bitch. Oh, and on a side note, does Bullet's drive have invulnerability like Noel's? I saw Makoto's distortion miss (several times) for some odd reason, I mean she was close enough and all. EDIT: JUST WATCHED THE FIRST DAY COMBO VIDEO. HYPE IS BACK! :D
  23. It's not just Makoto. The whole game looks more boring in general... I don't know what it is, but it looks dumbed down somehow. Slowly losing hype... Hopefully I am very wrong, because I still love Blaz.
  24. That's going to be pretty damn nice if that's true. She could use another quick fatal counter move.
