I don't like the "Oops, I won with something I totally didn't mean to do" kind of victories either. Feels like I didn't earn it.
-
I hate it when people complain/make excuses when they lose. "It was all because of lag/controller/wrong button/your character is cheap/I didn't use my main/that move is stupid/etc."
-
It doesn't have to just be trash biting, it could be any kind of biting that would give you permission to cave his mouth in. That's beyond a pet peeve, it's a one-of-a-kind disturbance. xD
-
Whoa, are you serious!? lol, I would have knocked his ass out and called the zombie extermination squad on him, haha.

That gets me too. It's like when they react slower, stupider, and unsafely, it actually works... Because it catches you off guard when you expect a legit retaliation.

And I thought I was alone on that one, that's also the reason I stuck with her. -

I played CS1 with Makoto, but I didn't know about the loop in time. T_T ...While everyone else is screwed up, lol. Omni, that Avatar... made my day, haha. -
When someone physically hits you for pissing them off. xD

1. People who attempt grabs every two moves, don't learn the first five times, and make the same mistake again. 2. Stylish Tagers. Even with no bursts, and being easy to punish, they can still get pretty damn lucky, and they have all of Tager's best moves on the click of a button, including the distortions. 3. Scrubs who think they are bad ass when they beat you on one-round conditions off of dumb luck, when you were really going easy on them, or if they are so bad, it's a joke.

Dirty things happen when that kind of stuff kicks in. :P I just need to netplay more, and maybe I'd be halfway decent. Because I can't really rate my skill with Makoto when I can't completely control her. Offline, I got down most of the basics. Here's another to add to the list of things I hate when playing against someone. It's rather small, but hilarious. Being invited to a game, selecting "No" by accident because cursor is automatically on it instead of "Yes".

@Dark Ranger88, like when I was playing on monitor, and the lag prevented me from actually blocking? I'm so used to the regular timing of IBing, that on netplay, it just keeps getting me hit like I wasn't trying to block at all, LOL I do kind of hate it when someone is playing a character who is totally netplay friendly like Noel. She gets away with a lot of crap like Ragna can, and it doesn't help that I am using a character who suffers super badly from even slight lag, while Noel can deal with it pretty easily. Not a very fun match.

Strategy against Tao- go apeshit, lol Seriously, randoming out getting in lucky hits works against her pretty well. You'd have to be a mind reader to catch her manually. -
The difference in timing between regular TVs, plasmas, and monitors? Yeah, I really f**king hate that.
-
We might as well exclude lag, I think we all agree that we hate it to the very end, and is the bane of netplay. Now ROUTER KICKERS... These guys cause lag on purpose and at will with all sorts of methods, which gives them a temporary advantage since they see the lag coming and you don't. I don't usually see them on BB, but on most other FGs, they are a pretty common sight. It's hard to tell if someone really is a router kicker though, they could just have really crappy connection.
-
How about when you beat someone, they ask for a "legit" same character rematch, and right when you pick your fighter, they counter pick with someone far stronger, or is an extremely bad matchup for your chosen character. Or they flip the Unlimited switch on you when you weren't looking. But it is so satisfying if you beat them when they do this. xD
-
Yeah, if I wanted revenge, I want it against the character he was using to beat me, not his sub. AMEN!
-
Another thing- GETTING MESSAGES IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTENSE FIGHT. Or pretty much any other kind of distraction, doesn't necessarily have to be the system. Phone calls from gf while I am playing? Plenty annoying.
-
Nothing wrong with stomping them for being a cheapass, lol. They pretty much deserve it if they are deliberately being cheap.
-
The nicer people who are more skilled than you will gladly keep playing with you, tell you something you are doing wrong in a nice way, and are usually just there to have fun. And they congratulate you when you do actually achieve a win. The mean-spirited players, on the other hand, are the complete opposite. They rub it in your face when they are leagues better than you are, show it off ten fold, and will usually quit after you lost once or twice, leaving you with a nasty message afterward. And when you win, they just insult you some more.
-
You serious!? omg, that would get old as f**k...
-
This. Screw those kinds of people. another hate for me; someone being way too good at the game. lol I have respect for these people if they are nice, but most are dicks.
-
If I'm excluding lag, which isn't really the game's fault really, it'd be people using ridiculously cheap strategies/characters, and when you beat them, they gripe at you for being cheap. :/ Mics too, such a distraction, and most people have them on for no good reason. xs

I was expecting Kokonoe to get a different outfit for sure, it's sort of nice that they stuck with her original garb rather than putting her in something dumb. Now I'm curious to see how she plays with that rocket/hammer/drill. -

That's when it is "too obvious" though. If you know what you're doing, he's pretty much toast in that scenario. ...Aren't these supposed to go in the Makoto matchups thread? -

Either way, the gameplan is just be patient, and get ungodly good at blocking his mixups while expecting/teching throws. Carl's not that bad once you start getting in hits, and when he starts getting nervous and taking too much time to think, you can rush him. Carl's a pretty easy kill if you have Ada down, because there is literally nothing he can do against you since he has like no reliable reversals at all, even with Heat.
