I'm currently using a Hori Real Arcade Pro V3 SA (not Kai) and it's been good for me. The only real issue is the fact that you would have to dual mod it yourself (if you plan on playing 360+ps3). I've heard good things about Qanba sticks though and since they come dual-modded it might be a good choice.

We may not have been victorious, but at least we beat Sigma. Wish you could have been there, Ruben. Overall, I'm really glad I went. I think I need more opportunities to play high level players and get better at controlling my nerves. Next year I think I'll do what I can to make it to different majors, like NEC. Erik, I have your energy drinks you left in Luke's car.

Persona pools are up. Aigis) http://challonge.com/scr2014_p4a_pool4 (I'm calling this... THE STEAK POOL)

SCR BBCP pools have been released. I'm in pool 2 with ApologyMan, NerdJosh, and a few people I recognize from Netplay (a noel and a tager). http://challonge.com/scr2014_bbcp_pool2 Marvin's in pool 3 and has a pretty good chance of winning it. I recognize a few names, but not as anime players. http://challonge.com/scr2014_bbcp_pool3 Erik's in pool 4 with Jona (godlike Valk/Aki player) and someone named Gato, who iirc is a pretty good Tao from socal. http://challonge.com/scr2014_bbcp_pool4 Jimmy's in pool 5 with Delta (a good Noel) and several people I recognize as decent p4a players but I don't know who they play in BB (or how well they play). http://challonge.com/scr2014_bbcp_pool5 Lorenzo's in pool 8, but I don't recognize any names, sorry. http://challonge.com/scr2014_bbcp_pool8

Do your best to find lobbies you have a decent connection to. Don't both if it's a 0. Also, be polite. Say hello, good luck, thanks for the games, etc. It's not necessary and no one will think badly if you don't, but it's just a nice thing to do. Also, if you're godlike or something, pass once in a while. New players don't appreciate getting ran over endlessly by only one person. It's also worth trying to make your own lobbies. be sure to mention your region in the title and maybe something saying 1/2 bar +. This way other people know what to expect and you don't have to feel as bad kicking people who live 3000 miles from you. I would have suggested simply setting the lobby to good connections only, but there really aren't enough 3 bars out there for that. edit: decent latency is 2+ for most people, but 1 bars can be fine too. It's always worth trying a few matches before you write off a connection.

I'm sure there's a little bit of modesty involved in that list as well. As far as I know ( and I might be wrong), JP players don't like to blame matchups much. In fact, I think they tend to talk and promote their characters strengths, rather than focusing on weaknesses, bad matchups, tiers, etc. There's probably a chance that MU experience plays a big roll as well. In p4a, I have so many matches against Naoto and Yosuke that I simply don't care about fighting them and might say they are highly in Mitsuru's favor, even though most JP players think those MUs are even or only slightly Mitsuru favor. We're all comfortable in different situations.

Thanks for everyone showing up. Thanks for the set Zeal. I'm sorry for acting like a child. Gonna try not to beat myself up over netplay as much in the future. -

with an upper weakpoint you can easily break 5K meterless with FC 5C > 236D. The main reason I prefer 3D as a starter is that it adds the second weakpoint. This way if the combo is bursted early, you'll likely still have 2 weakpoints applied. I *try* to reserve 5C > 236D for when the opponent has no burst. The damage is almost identical if you are going near optimally with either starter. The reason I prefer 5C when I can is simply because it's faster and lazier. Some reversals can't be punished with 3D at all anyway, like Litchi's.
