I would assume that using the same weakpoint more than once would kill proration or end the combo outright, which is why we saw j.2D instead of j.D. Regarding the loss in damage, it's obvious that you would sacrifice some for the sake of getting both weakpoints. Until we can play the game for ourselves, there's really no way to telling how much damage we would give up to apply a second weakpoint. I'm willing to argue that, at least in some cases, we will get very near the original damage. Looking back at the most recent combo video, a forward grab midscreen got about 3.2k if I recall correctly HERE. A forward grab combo that applied both weakpoints managed to actually get slightly more damage, about 3.3k HERE. All I'm saying is that it might be worth it. regardless of what you or I think, it's certainly nice to have the option. It's sort of like the Hakumen debate regarding whether or not to OD at the start of the round.

There was also a combo where he went into valiant to the corner and then got both weakpoints from there. Most combos that utilize both weakpoints eventually go into valiant anyway, so it could be possible that way.

I've been thinking about a lot of stuff for Azrael lately, especially after seeing combos that apply both weakpoints without scud. I'm hoping that those combos end up being practical (not something so incredibly difficult that makes it only have a place in combo videos) hopefully a lot like Bang's 3-4 seal combos. In that last combo video there was one or two combos that started with one weakpoint, used it, then applied both of them. Thinking about it, it might even be possible to use both weakpoints in one combo and get them both back. The wheels are turning.

Just gonna mention that I'm down to play on PSN a lot of the time. I'm in Arizona, but it couldn't hurt to at least test the connection once. One of my favorite things about CP haku is how he can be more offensive based. Having more meter nearly all of the time will allow us to be much more aggressive once we get the chance. In Ex I would never consider blowing 5 magatama on Tsubaki > Hotaru. being purely defensive sounds boring and terrible. I prefer keeping people out just long enough to gain near full meter, followed by an assault. Fit's me better anyway.

The only time I ever find myself using j.D is during someone's random super when I'm in the air right next to them. It always makes me smile.

Keeping my opinions short, mainly because it's 2 in the morning. I think Azrael will have some trouble with certain characters, but mostly just minor annoyances. If you're not patient against characters with ridiculous pokes, then you're probably going to just get blown up. His neutral game is much stronger than other characters that would have the same set of problems. It's certainly going to be better than trying to play a grappler, and that's more than satisfactory for me.

Azrael is limited with his "oki". He needs to guess how the opponent is going to tech. Will they roll, wake-up DP, block, mash, ect.? There isn't a single option that forces the opponent to just sit there and respect you. Forget what we all learned in Persona. He is definitely not Chie. I guess that's the best and laziest way I can explain what Zeth just did.

sigh... Ruben........... I'm not in any hurry to get the board, in fact I might not even put it in my Hori right away. For some reason, it doesn't seem to be disconnecting much or at all. Unless it becomes a problem, I'll just hold onto the ps360 for the next stick I purchase or until I need it in my hori. I love hoarding electronics.

I'm interested in finding as many combos as possible that apply both weakpoints. Once this game comes out, I'm gonna go crazy. Sometimes you see one WP disappear long before the other one, but if they're applied in the same combo then it shouldn't be a problem. There's 2 or 3 combos like that towards the end of the video, including that super practical grab starter. Hopefully we can find something similar for other common starters, even if it requires one to start. The wheels are turning.

At 3:25 he get's both weakpoints off a forward grab and get's 3k+ Good stuff.

The new Hakumen is looking more fun to me. I got tired of doing the exact same starter for every confirm in Ex. Also, doing the same corner combo off every hit gets repetitive. Besides, it looks like so much fun to blow 5-8 magatama on one mega combo from time to time. 3 Being the magic number of orbs gets dull.

Give it a month and they'll all be doing stuff like this, or at least attempting it. These combos look super practical and definitely the most optimal that I've seen so far. Reminds me of the fancy Ex Hakumen combos, except with more fire.

Oh my goodness that's some good stuff. Sentinel dump combos getting 2/3+ corner carry and massive damage. Also ending practical combos with both weakpoints. MUST PLAY HIM NOW... I particularly like how practical the LW combos look. At around 2:20 he gets 5300 damage and great corner carry for only 25 meter.
