It was fun for my first major! I fell flat on my face and lost immediately but I got to see everyone else play so it's not all bad. Betadood's matches against Sunfish were great, same with his match against Danke. I got to see Chickzama again and met some new people, Sunfish used my stick in grand finals , Tomato's rising through the persona ranks really fast, AMB bakery lived up to his name with emergency anime cookies, and Harakiri "hentai all night" made it to the streammm I hope we get the ranbats going again! Just in time for Xrd too

I sent a message to WeeabooMode last night about the Gundam lobby but didn't get a response, are these still going on? EDIT: Sorry, I must have had the wrong time! I just checked PSN and saw a bunch of invites sent about 15 minutes after I went to bed.

In standard combo routes would it generally be better to end in string oki or 214c? For example in, [5aa > 5b > 2ab > 214c or 22a] I've been using 214c mostly because I feel like it adds a good amount of damage and string oki gets DP'd a lot, is a there a generally accepted "better" ender or should I just mix it up however I like?

Thanks a ton Brett/Vista! I learned a ton in just a few minutes from those posts. As for matchups i'm going to agree that Carmine is one of my worst so far.

I've been using 5a more than 3c but i'm not sure which one I prefer.

Oh I see, people must have been IBing my 6A's when they were punishing me on block. It's definitely a big hit to his mixup especially with j.2C suppsodely being harder to combo off of in 1.1, but I don't think it will bother me much in particular because I only really use 6A with 50 heat as it is.

You really think so? It's already pretty punishable on block, so making it worse doesn't seem too bad to me.

@Nazad I'm by no means good at this game either, but i'll tell you that Jin is still extremely easy and after you acclimate to his new style you'll probably find him much more effective than he was in the last games. There's tons of stuff in the thread excelence linked that'll help with that.

That was pretty much exactly what I was looking for Tari, I think I understand what I should be doing now. Fronting God Gundam seems like the natural way to go about this so i'll look for something that can back him up. Gonna try out a bunch of the mentioned suits and see if we get any results. Thanks i'll give those a try! I misconstrued what Brett said, I thought he was saying that I should try melee suits How's Ez8 for a 1k?

Thanks, i'm actually really surprised by that answer. I'm just learning the game and I have a partner who wants to main God Gundam so i'm looking for something to compliment him, and I was picking 2k suits like Hyaku Shiki. If you don't mind answering a couple more questions i'd be really thankful! Why exactly shouldn't I pick a 2k or a 2.5k suit and pick a 1k or a 3k instead on a team with God Gundam? If I pick a 3k I should be up front and if I pick a 1k I should be backup right? Wouldn't God Gundam on backup be really counter productive considering he's a melee unit or do I have the wrong mindset here?

Does anyone have any recommendations for suits that match up well with God Gundam on a team?
