  1. Plus when you Stargazer crouching opponents you don't have to throw in a stupid jab and ruin your proration, just 5C liek in the corner. By artificially better, do you mean they only made her specials better? Plus I'm gimmicky as hell; I'll probably be using all of her specials on the reg.
  2. People who RQ in ranked seriously tick me off. I must have lost at least over 100 PSR by people rage quitting when I'm about to win (or during my character's winpose :/). Like, you don't even have a red name. Why are you rage quitting against me? I don't even try to do anything flashy or humiliating. I don't even corpse beat. It's always people with kinda high PSR that do it too. You'd think people with that much experience could take a loss or have some respect for the game, but nope.
  3. Or a character who's drive is to disable the opponent's drive or specials (for a short amount of time) whenever a D attack connects. They would also have a distortion that disables certain abilities for an extended period of time. Or a DD that disables the opponent's use of heat. A drive or move that disables specials would give them good oki because it would disable wakeup DPs. Hakumen and Noel would absolutely hate the moves that disable drives.
  4. Damn I actually like that idea. If Bullet didn't exist I would want to see Mikoto as a speedy grappler character who does all kinds of sexy suplexes on her opponents while wearing an outfit about as skimpy as Makoto's. She would also have to be a handful of years younger than Makoto (like 15 or 16ish) to make it even more absurd that she can throw around the entire cast + Tager. Super...Sexy...Mikoto.....................Busterrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!
  5. Airk is right, but I think there is some value in learning other characters when it comes to defense. If you have trouble getting out of a particular charater's blockstrings, then learning that character can help you understand and think through his/her pressure when you're using Hazama. Studying blockstrings on footage and actually knowing them yourself are two different things. If you learn a character you will instantly know what moves are unsafe or escapable when used during pressure. It will also help if you have the problem where "all of my opponent's moves look the same, it's hard to know when to escape." At the very least, learning a character you have trouble against will let you see how skilled players escape their pressure by firsthand experience (e.g. Wow people always IB 2A after that move, maybe I should start doing that.)
  6. Pretty cool Astral. His power looks kind of evil though, scary. Similar to Ragna in that regard. Yeah I do remember hearing this and it's probably the same girl. I thought he was supposed to be a wannabe player, so how does he have this hottie following him around. Also she had a fox tail, which worries me...

  8. Geez I can't believe the hype I have for this game, damn these new characters. Damn flashy heat steal, damn teleport drives, damn Kokonoe. Wish they would have waited till mid October to announce all of this. It just makes things worse because even when October gets here, we still have to wait almost a whole month before the game is even released. Why you toy with my emotions Arc? Hmm...With all this time left though...I wonder if they'll announce something else. Does anyone know if Arc has a history of announcing a new character or feature close to the release date of one of their games?

  12. I wonder if it is simply a teleport with recovery or if it puts you in one of the grounded drive stances. It seems like you could possibly do some nifty stuff with j.D depending on the recovery. Like you could IAD > j.D (backwards) > stuff, to bait anti airs. You might even be able to do ambiguous crossups by j.Ding over the opponent and teleporting either left or right. If there is a stance attack that comes out fast after you land this could even be a legit mixup.

  14. Would you be upset if you were getting destroyed by someone and they said, "Tch...This is boring. Here, fight my 10-year-old brother. You'll give him more of a challege." Some people are in this for the challenge. They want to fight the best people they possibly can, and if you're not going all out, they feel cheated because they are not fighting the real you, just some hollow version.
  15. Lambda seems unstoppable when you first get into the game. My suck roommates would just refuse to play people who had Lambda on their playercard. Looking back, that is really funny. Lawl scared of Lambda.
  16. Using that distorion is going to be like Mario Party 1 all over again. Her normals seem weird to me though. Her B attacks look powerful, like they should be C attacks (I know all we have are screenshots, I'm just saying). And her C attacks look like really strong drive attacks (e.g. Ragna, Makoto, and Azrael drive moves). Looks like her dash would be slow or have really slow acceleration.
  17. I have one friend that used to play a scrubby Arakune with me. We would often go online and alternate matches. We wondered if anyone had ever figured out they were playing against two different people. Also there should be a FG character that you have to use 2 people to operate, that would be fun as hell.
  18. This, but I also hate it when you get stomped by someone and you have to legitimately leave for some other reason. I WANT to play you but I CAN'T. I leave the room before the next match starts (because I don't want to have to wait for the next match to start before leaving the room), I can't help but feel like they think I'm salty.
  19. I have never understood this. What makes it even worse is that reduced delay and precision are VERY IMPORTANT in FGs, while MMOs are more about spamming moves + strategy than precise gameplay.
  20. There are plenty of characters that can combo into Astral in several different ways. I'll run through some easy or relevant ones here, but the Dustloop Wiki character pages usually tell you what moves can combo into Astral (Usually in the Astral Heat's description). For Noel: You can AH after a drivechain 5C or 6B (start Noel's drive then do 5C/6B). Or you could just AH after a normal 6C in the corner. All of these require you to be juggling your opponent though. For Tager: You can Spark Bolt into AH (found that one out the hard way). So you could do something like Throw > Spark > AH. For Makoto: To add to what Horo said, you can also AH after lvl3 5D and 2D in the corner. Or just do BackThrow > AH For Jin; He has an easy one...Throw > AH (Found this one out the hard way too...Always jump when Jin's portrait starts flashing; Those bastards LOVE to Throw > AH) For Plat: Throw > AH (doesn't work in corner). Also whenever you bubble an opponent in a combo you can just jump up and AH them. For Hazama: 3C or Command throw into Astral (Again...hard way). Most people can Gold Burst into Astral too. HAVE FUN KILLING PEOPLE!!!
  21. OH MY GOTCH. This exactly!!! Ugh, people who throw or 5B in the middle of MY blockstrings at the stupidest of times and get lucky, get on my nerves. Also the people who noobishly mash DP noobishly and DP/720 me out of Lunatic Upper combos because it lagged slightly. (The exact thought that goes through my head when this happens is: " ") Although when it comes to yomi layers, sometimes the idiotic/noob thing to do is actually the right thing to do if your opponent is planning against a genius.
  22. Damn, those combos looked (dare I say) FUN. I'm actually glad that I'll be a part of the Extend generation of Makoto, though. It will be better for my skills in the long run if I don't have to rely on a character's strength alone to win matches. That's actually one of the many reasons that I picked her up. But of course...You are Horo: The Wise Squirrel, after all. Are you not?
