  1. Yeah, but it does seem like you're giving up a lot of damage for that one frame. Especially without magnetism. Unless backthrow prorates like a bitch and forward doesn't of course. Has anyone seen how early the opponent can tech from the forward throw? If it's bounce tech only, you might be able to get a 236B in there to follow up with.

  3. Whilst that's useful to know, it makes me wonder why, when you need magnetism to do that, would you ever not use the back throw instead for more up-front damage and non-magnetised combo damage. There's got to be some reason.
  4. I assuming you mean 6A misses from a maximum range 5C. That said, can't you just do a slightly held 6A after spark bolt and get the collider that way. The 5C doesn't exactly add much damage. (Heck, the way Tager's wacked out proration works, it might actually improve the combo damage). Is it me, or is 6A faster than CS1 when you don't charge it at all?

  7. Confusing 214D with 41236D? Only if you're spazzing out on the stick or getting crossed up. Why are you tryin to spark bolt whilst being crossed up?
  8. Funny really, 5DD 4DD already did combo on midair opponents. It's just that you usually did 5DD 6DD etc...

  10. Actually, it doesn't add an opportunity to burst I think, if they burst the guardpoint takes it and they get a MTW reset instead.
  11. So in every case, wouldn't the usual AC whiff, 6B magnatech wheel lead to better damage?
  12. Looking at your new combo video, how much damage are you able to squeeze out of a combo when you replace: ...AC, ACwhiff, 6B > 2C AC with ...AC [RC] 4D, 5C > 6A > 2C > AC Unless you're going for a flashy finishing combo, it just doesn't seem worth it.
  13. At least two of those animals can actually talk, hypedog not shutting up for the entire movie would annoy everyone in the world ever though.
  14. I love the way that at 1:55, the third colldier does a grand total of 50 damage. GoGo gadget loop proration.
  15. I wasn't sure if 5BB counter carried, probably doesn't if 5B and 6B are always considered separate moves.
  16. I've just bumped into the following combo link through my scrubby mashing, any use to anyone? 5BB (CH on first hit) > 4B (Whiffs first hit).

  18. You're shafting yourself choosing it, so banning people from using it would be like banning people from choosing Rachel and Tsubaki because they're hamstringing themselves to do so. Heck, winning whilst using it at high end level of play is actually meta-awesome.
  19. I remember dicking around in beginner mode and using it to demonstrate some basic combos, helped a bit.
  20. At least its reasonably safe and charge is cheap against Tager. What would you reckon is the best way tsubaki has to escape magnetism? (Just so we tagers know how to counter it). Also, why do so many people fall for 22[D], tager's backdash has a load of invuln. And early releases of 22D can just be blocked.
  21. So what would a good Tsubaki be trying to do in this match up? From the tsubaki forums, all I could glean was that tsubaki can only do the following: 5B 5[D] (or 2[D] if spark bolt is charged) That air projectile thingie 22[D] 5B Because everything else dies to 360A or 236A.
  22. Could you modify the Tager notes to say that it's Hammer and not sledge that gets super armour?

  24. Tager can still fuck you up from midscreen since most of his combos involve throwing his opponent to the other side of him (and back again usually). Having your back to the wall against tager is still bad bad news in terms of having fewer escapes, but who is this not the case with?
  25. Just because it knocks them downwards doesn't mean you can't catch them as they fall with a lower angled blade.
