  1. A couple of questions about this. 1) Will a late throw tech avoid the clap wave? 2) Clap is still unblockable, is it? 3) How many reps are possible if the new clap loop exists? 4) Did Carl's air throw get changed? So assuming the loop is still possible, I'm guessing you won't be able to outright 100% someone with it, so I'm guessing you could probably do a couple of reps for damage, and end it with Gear super or Nirvana Bang Upper (depending on meter gain during loop). Go test it out, kthnx!
  2. Holy fuck, old post is old.
  3. The reason why no one thought of that idea is because it's a really fucking stupid idea.
  4. More like DP xx FADC xx Ultra. But knowing Spirit Juice, he'd flub the Ultra part.
  5. All. Bang. Players. Should. Have. Life Alert.
  6. Good luck to all of you playing in the BB tourney. I'll be there to help run the tourney (and play casuals).
  7. Word on the street is they may possibly add a GGAC and maybe MBAA side tourney to this event. Stay tuned for more info.
  8. Word on the street is that the BlazBlue pot has now increased to $2200. Holy crap.
  9. Uh, it's like reading a bracket. I assume you don't know how a bracket works, so basically, the winners in bold in the 1st round of each block play against a fellow winner from that same round and same block in the 2nd round of the bracket. Then the winners of that 2nd round advance to the 3rd round where they get paired up against each other from the same block. Continue on with block winners matching up against other block winners until there is only 1 standing, and that's your winner. Note that this is a single elimination tournament, so once you lose one match no matter which part of the bracket you are at, you are done with the tournament. Hope that helps.

  10. Uh, tier list is still the same. Nu/Arakune/Rachel still dominates everyone, with Jin/Carl right under them, then everyone else, then Hakumen/Tager in the very bottom... And Kid Viper, one of the American qualifiers, made it in the brackets. And Dora got top 8; I'd say that's pretty far out of a huge tournament with a lot of national qualifiers just to be part of the top 64 for the main tournament...
  11. The biggest reason why GGAC is considered "underrated" is because it didn't have a huge promotion machine for the game in the United States as opposed to Street Fighter 4, BlazBlue, and Tekken had. It's big in Japan, but in America the game pretty much had to rely on "word of mouth" promotions for it to grow.
  12. Good shit at Evo. @ all the other I-No players that didn't show up at Evo.
  13. It never did (except maybe on CH). It still chains though, and change list hasn't reported them removing it, so yeah.
  14. AI usually opens at 1 PM (or whenever the owner gets there, which is usually around 1). They usually close by 10 PM on Monday-Thursday, 1 AM on Fri-Sun.
  15. Uh, this is actually a negative. Also, I'm not really liking the changes so far; they took out not only the loop (which I can understand), but they nerfed his offensive options as well? WTB next loketest changes, kthnx.
  16. Give I-no a real useful FB outside of combos like FB Puffball or something, kthanks.

  18. As if that matchup wasn't already bad for Tager with Nirvana alive... Lol. Good shit though. Wonder if that would work on other characters with tall/wide hitboxes as well...
  19. Fixed.
  20. After playing a bunch vs. Rachel over the weekend, I can most definitely say that this matchup is pretty gay. Hell, I'd rather fight a Nu than a Rachel IMO, but that's a different topic altogether. Anyways, I feel it's definitely a 4-6 matchup in favor of Rachel, especially with her being able to spam shit all over the place until you mess up somewhere and she starts to rush your shit down. Nevertheless, I was able to learn a thing or two from those numerous losses and hopefully they'll make the matchup a little bit easier (lol, yeah right) or something. First thing you should know is you CAN do the clap loop on Rachel. Even though she can escape it, it's a matter of catching her when she has no wind meter. Basically the way Rachel's wind meter works is it doesn't regenerate unless she's considered in a grounded state (i.e. standing on the ground), so yeah. You can go clap happy with her, since she doesn't regenerate any wind meter even if she escapes the throw and you manage to reset the loop. However, shit's easier said than done though... Good luck trying to catch her without a wind stock, even if it means turtling hardcore to get her to try to do wind mixups on you, which is obviously suicidal if your blocking isn't up to par. Anyways, most likely when you do hit her, she'll definitely have a wind stock or two, so obviously you're stuck using Carl solo combos most of the time (unless you can find an inescapable setup that guarantees a Sandwich loop or trap against Rachel that doesn't involve Rachel already being in between you two and not in the air), so yeah. However, if you do manage to miraculously trap that bitch in between you and the doll, milk that shit as much as possible so you'll either hopefully have ended the round or gained a huge life lead, and IMO it's much easier to deal with Rachel when she has to play catch up against you as long as you keep running correctly and utilize Nirvana defensively (usually with 8D, 4D, or 623D) to make Rachel think twice about trying to close the gap. That's all I have for now; more to come later...

    [CT] Taokaka FAQs

If you have 100% Heat, and you're feeling confident/risky/insane/bored, you could try doing her Almost Becoming Two and try to land a Taunt xx HexaEdge for lol damage (upwards to about 50%+ depending on who you're fighting)... Other than that, you could try doing some fancy RC mixups to try to crack open your opponent. Also, obligatory hot Tao pic attached. =3
  22. Good shit, Chaz. After doing this, I'm kinda getting it down consistently, but now the problem is when they tech. Sometimes when they tech into the clap, the clap hits twice, causing them to fall to the ground fast where Carl can't dash in and re-launch them with 2C. Is it a matter of doing the clap earlier or what? And if I do the clap too early, obviously it'll whiff if they don't tech, but I guess you can just go into the re-jump air throw loop or something...
  23. So uh, thought I'd ask for the lulz. How do you deal with Carl mirror matches? Shit sometimes devolves to random Nirvana Battle Bot fights or until someone gets hit by something random and dies. Any insights? P.S. Hi PhaethonH!
  24. /me watches Jo vs. FlashMetroid match he recorded.
  25. Nice to see something resembling a Carl guide being worked on. Keep up the good work, guys! And yes, I use Carl (and only Carl) in BB too. Any Carls going to Devastation/Evo?
