Hellmonkey: The direct feed of the Loser's Finals between pulsr's team and ID's team isn't up yet. The vid you linked is the Winner's Quarterfinals between the same two teams.

Fixed.

Team tourney vids will be up here: http://www.youtube.com/SoCalGuiltyGear I'll post the full results for the Team Tourney soon...

Split thread to 2 parts: Combo Lists and Combo Discussion. If you have good combos, post them in this thread then one of the mods will move it to the Combo Lists if it's any useful. Now if only blitz/Teyah would finish his/their combo list/AC Millia guide...
-
After consideration, I'm going to make another thread that has only nothing but combos in it by taking all the combos in this thread to make searching for it easier... Expect it done by tonight.
-
Read the entire thread.
-
This is only good for 1 thing: Combo Videos.
-
First page =/= entire thread.
-
Search the thread.
-
Um, Hellmonkey goes to UCI...

WISE FWOM YOUR GWAVE! Damn, this thread is alive and kicking.

After some minutes in practice mode, I was able to replicate this a little bit. Basically, like what raekwon said, FAB made the other guy block something deep (in both cases, a j.H). What I found out was for some reason there's a frame or two where Pot is still considered facing the other direction after the deep cross-up hit when he lands, and if you were to input a special move within that window, he will do said special facing the other direction. So after any deep cross-up move (in Pot's case, j.H and j.K), input a special move as if you were already on the other side, and time the button press that activates the move within that 1 or 2 frame window when he lands where he's still considered facing the other direction, and he'll do the special move the "wrong" way. Hope that helps.

Yeah, you have to be really patient against Millia unless she keeps doing the same mistakes over and over. The good thing is she dies in 1 or 2 combos, and Pot actually has some defensive abilities to fuck her over really bad if she guesses wrong on trying to start an offense (Millia has jack shit for defense once she gets knocked down), plus if you can block her non-Secret Garden mixups (usually involving her H Disc and FB Disc), your work becomes a lot easier. If you can, check out the Millia vs. Pot thread I started up (and still has no replies, lol) on the Millia matchup forum to see how Millia deals with Pot, and plan something around what she does...

How to increase your wakeup Winger accuracy: Never use that move at all. Ever since I started playing GG back in the XX days up to today, I can still count the number of times I've used wakeup Winger on one hand. Play like that move doesn't exist, and your opponent will forget she even has that move.
-
I use wakeup Winger. No FRC needed, cuz so far I'm at a 100% success rate with it. Other than that, Emerald Rain after 6K, and that's it.
-
Use Potemkin then.

Well, duh. I've been playing Millia on a competitive level since XX. It's not like I just started her 2 or 3 months ago... Besides, she has lots of tools to help her get that knockdown off of random hits and shit (hello FB Disc, Pin, Bad Moon...); the only thing you need to know is how every character's hitbox and gravity modifier looks like so you'll know what will and what won't connect on them on the fly, which takes a while to learn... You know, you don't have to always attack Baiken at predictable times. C'mon man, think! There's a reason why Millia can combo off of her throws again, not to mention her overhead/low options... Stop looking for an easy way to win; if that's your goal, you're using the wrong character. Also, another hint on dealing with her counters: JUMP CANCEL! Bait that shit out and punish it! If she doesn't cancel into counter, you're still safe and live to fight another day! If you're still complaining about hit confirming not being easy, you need to play a lot more until it becomes second nature... Also, you can use S Disc FRC to bait out her counters too like a ghetto RC, but it might be too hard for you... You know, you can always block... It's not like it's the end of the world if you're not rushing down with Millia... Also, DO BETTER MIXUPS! Or BAIT THAT SHIT OUT! You know, you can always block... It's not like it's the end of the world if you're not rushing down with Millia... Also, DO BETTER MIXUPS! Or BAIT THAT SHIT OUT! STEP YOUR GAME UP!!! Nice try. If you're complaining about Baiken being hard and making it sound like a 10-0 matchup, it means all your shit is being blocked. STEP YOUR GAME UP!!!!!

Baiken is actually quite easy to combo. You just don't know the right combos yet. And while the matchup is kind of hard, Millia can actually deal with Baiken's counters pretty decently. It's not like all her counters are unbeatable or some shit... And if the Baiken is blocking all your shit, it means you're being too damn predictable. And no, you really do not want to play Millia in Slash at all. Sure, she's good for laughs here and there, but for serious tourney play, you'll end up ripping your hair out. Try her out in Slash and you'll see what I mean...

Most likely a new thread will be started once all the character's info has been translated.

Several more things you can do (off the top of my head): - FRC 214P (whiff), j.K overhead - FRC 2369P (whiff), j.K overhead - Airdash over and back - Airdash over, Turbo Fall back - Turbo Fall to other side, Command Roll back to original side upon landing (cancels the Turbo Fall recovery frames) - 5D (lol) - Throw! Hey, they can't block throws so... There's a lot more if you have the creativity to come up with them...

If Faust whiffs (WHIFFS, NOT YOU BLOCKING IT) that stupid Scalpel super, Instant Kill that motherfucker. Yes, you have enough time to activate and IK him. Sad...
