... holy hell, I'm not the only person who plays Lunathia? Nice looking video. On a technical note, the text was a bit hard to read (was blurry, at least viewing it on my end). Not a terrible deal but for future stuff you might want to clean it up a bit more. Hell's Rain notes: "Pisses off Cielo." I lol'd. Maybe not worth noting in a beginner tutorial, but air Hell's rain is just as useful as the ground version for pissing people offzoning, since it comes out faster (although recovers slower) and can be done in the midst of an air backdash. Re: Disaster (214HS) - I wouldn't recommend going for one of these after every knockdown. The move is pretty slow unless BRK'd, so depending on the combo you just came off of you may be giving the opponent time to rush out of it before it goes active. Especially after the close-hit OTG into oki situations in some of the combos you have at the end of the vid - not gonna lie those look very risky. Of course, mixing that shit up will keep them cautious.

Wow, I haven't played this game nearly enough recently. Just checked out the latest version myself. Lunathia got two new moves: 4S ("Phantom Whip"), which is a short-range but quick swipe (whose placement can be changed with O), and 236HS ("Coffin Blood"), a combo ender move (whose placement can also be changed with O). That said, at some point they nerfed her jHS, since it now doesn't recover until landing. Dammit. Also I had to tweak around some combos; it feels like they messed with juggles a bit - not sure if it's for everyone or just Lunathia though. Going by the game author's blog, Cielo also got a 4S, and Friede got a charge 4, 6S which creates a black hole halfway across the screen for some reason.

I'll consider it, but no promises. I'm not too keen on the apparent lack of parking (from what I see on Google Maps), and the whole "don't have to go out of your way to pick people up" is kinda negated by the fact that it's a four-and-a-half hour straight-shot from my place (and I somehow doubt I'm not going to have anybody at all ask for a ride). I'll keep it in mind, but that's about all I'll say for now. Do it anyways. GG is the best game. (Yes, I know you love Melty, and it's a very close second, but GG wins by a slight margin.) Going to tentatively say I'll be there. Might change my mind if work sucks the next couple of days, but we'll see.

Hey guys, was just poking about the internet and found this: Poverty Wiki - Aquapazza It's incomplete, but I'm already seeing stuff I ddin't know so for those who were enjoying Aquapazza here's a chance to read up on some tech. Not trying to be super-serious about this game (not yet, at least), but it's typically more fun to know what's going on right? Also Tales - Sasara's page explains how her parry move works. Apparently it takes some decent timing, but we had the right idea. On a semi-related note, if the wiki is to be believed then apparently I accidentally picked top-tier.

The game is called E's Laf, and you can download it at the following link: http://www.es-laf.netgamers.jp/ (click "Download", then click the large image in the center of the page). After extracting, run config.exe to setup controls (third tab for joystick. First column is directions, second is A/B/C/D, third is F/unused/start/select). Also, Aquapazza is finally here. Day one impressions: Touka is a lot slower/stiffer than I thought. Might not be able to use her. Chizuru is fun. Need to play around with assists more, but if nothing else Rina is a nice one-time(-ish) damage boost/instant pressure machine. Also her lvl3 looks awesomely powerful, even if it takes 2 or 3 seconds to activate. Tamaki gets obscene damage for no good reason (oh wait, she's a grappler). Only gripe sofar is that you need to spin the stick to fuck and back to get max damage on her 360/720 grab (also, fuck 360/720 inputs, just sayin').

I think I mentioned it before, but I've been tossing the idea around of having mini-casuals for us more-northern folks every once in a while. Perhaps on some of the weekends that Wty doesn't host casuals. How does that sound? Alright, so you don't need a ride from me, then? That's convenient, it'll bring my car back down from maximum capacity to recommended capacity. Also, in slightly disappointing news, UPS fucked up their shipping schedule or something and I'm not getting a copy of Aquapazza until Monday. Dammit. At least by the time I bring it down to Whysuals I'll have some practice time so I can wreck everybody's shit teach people how to play the game and such.

Don't knock it until you try it, at least. I found it looks slow at first, but once you start understanding what is actually going on it looks quite interesting. On that topic, game won't be arriving at my place until tomorrow so nobody needs to worry about me being eons ahead of everyone else on Saturday. Especially when I now have at least four characters I want to try to figure out. Implying of course if I'm even going to be allowed to go. Last I checked there's still a free seat in my car, provided people don't mind being a bit cramped in the back seat. Vyers said he'll be driving himself, so I'm "just" picking up Crown, Katz, and Tales. Send me a PM with your address (preferably no later than tomorrow evening, so I'm sure to see it) and I should be able to pick you up. I typically would get there around mid-afternoon (probably 2-3pm), and keep in mind I stay until we all head out so you'd probably be getting back home around 3-5am. Just a heads up for what you're signing yourself up for.

It'd be easy enough to fit you; one other person would be possible although pushing it a bit - we'd have to fit three people in the back seat. It can be done, but might be a bit less than comfy. And yes, Touka has TK Youzansen and it's as scary as ever (complete with free combo in the corner even, and using assists to make it safe. At least canceling into assists costs meter). EDIT: Probably should ask - are you still at the same place you were last time?

Assuming NCSX ships as well as they usually do, I'll have it well before the weekend, so I can bring it to casuals. Thanks for the consideration. Part of the problem last time is that I was dog-tired from work that week. I'll spare you guys the boring details, but it was a temporary "emergency" thing that should be over now so I'll probably be good to go this week even with working this Friday, if that's when people want to get together. Also, I've been looking at this game that came out recently, Aquapazza. I initially dismissed it since it looked kinda slow, but looking at it again it looks fun. I'm wondering if anyone else is interested in it, though - don't feel like plunking down a bunch of dollars for something that nobody wants to play.

Hello there! Where in NH are you? I'm down in Nashua, so if you're not far off we could probably chill sometime. Capsuletoyco isn't far from here, either. There are a few others up further north in NH, like Nazgul (but he's always busy with work ). Most of this thread is further south (MA/CT mainly), and we typically have meetups every couple weeks down in CT at Why Disciple's place. Bit of a ride from up here, but that doesn't typically stop me (then again, I'm probably insane).

Zoob was playing Teddie on day -3 at my place. Dunno about anyone else Am I the only one who tends to really be put off by things like DLC colors? It's probably the most asinine thing to spend monies on, if you ask me. Besides, Naoto already has plenty of awesome palettes to choose from, and being such a straightforward and pragmatic person she doesn't feel the need to supplant her wardrobe with such unnecessary extra material. :razz: But yeah, you being on XBL would certainly make it difficult for me to have played you online. Must've been some other imposter scrubs who foolishly think they can possibly capture the essence of logic and pragmatism that is Naoto. Hopefully you'll be able to make it to casuals sometime so we can play each other.
