Will j.B hit a crouching opponent? If not, find a crouching example.
-
You can OS it probably 6236D+B with probably either give you shield or DP depending on the side they're on. EDIT: Based on framedata, 5C > 2A(w) should be +1 or +2 on block.
-
623A is a good anti-air. If it's blocked and you have 100 meter you can land > 214C away and be plus. For everything else, use 3C or standing shield. If you're whiffing the 3C, use 623A instead. If they're doing something huge, just stand shield it and punish. They're farther away? do j.A into combo. Use j.236B to force them to jump towards you and swat them out of the air. Can't beat their air normals? Jump and shield them. Neutral for me is typically tk.236B > tk.236A > tk.236A > react to where they are. If they blocked a j.236A, go into pressure by running in. If they jumped, anti-air them with either 3C or 623A. Make them scared to jump over j.236B. Once applying pressure, do basic reverse beat pressure. 5A stagger 2B 5C 2A(w) 5B 2A(w) 5C etc... Just mix it up and keep it unpredictable. I see most people coming into this game are from Blazblue, Guilty Gear or Street Fighter and they keep trying to end pressure strings with C moves or specials. Go for 2A whiffs and reapply or assess the situation. Hell you could even Assault to beat out most people trying to poke you with 2C. Once they start respecting you, you can go for 6D/throw mixups and tk.236A resets.
-
Don't worry. Daedron will just say you can shield it or DP it on reaction and thus is trash.
-
Nanase's makes her normals jump cancelable and allows me to reapply free pressure. It most definitely should cost GRD. It's just another form of resource management.

Luke, there's tons of mixups in UNIEL, they just aren't your typical high/low mixups. It's Melty style mixups. -
Whiff cancel stuff into other stuff. You can even do whatever you want into A stagger pressure which will reset to neutral if you let it and will let you do a full bnb if you catch them hitting buttons. I've also been doing 214A at the end of strings to make myself plus, adding in random B+C 6D j.BA pressure and if they respect my whiff cancels > 5C enough (5C > 2A(w) is +2 on block) I start getting away with dash attacks mid pressure. You can also start doing stuff > B+C > j.236A to gain enough frame advantage to run in, which will beat out any DP attempts if they think you're going to 6D in instead.

This is a nice combo to know, but you won't be landing it all the time. To be in range for 3C to land without the threat of a whiff, you'd generally have to have a point blank punish, and I think 5C > 3C > tk.236A does more damage. What do we have for optimal corner stuff? optimal d.B and d.C stuff? I seem to be landing all of my damage off j.236B oki in the corner and d.B/d.C mixups after midscreen combos.

No,he really is. He's a ranged character with throw mixups that can't be broken with 3k confirms off everything. Chie was at least difficult execution-wise (I thought). -
214C can force AUB setups.
-
Her d.B and d.C can be mashed out of, but then you just condition your opponent to not be mashing which is easy enough given the damage you can pump out. Do it on oki with a fireball. d.C is safe on block, d.B is not by itself. You can CS either of them to see if it hit/if you can continue to pressure. If you want to make them safe, just B+C them and you're back to neutral which is generally a winning situation with this character. Float double overhead in and of itself isn't terribly scary but you can do things like j.B float j.BB, j.B float j.[C] j.236A (+ on block), j.B float j.[C] j.2C, j.B land 2B, j.B float j.BB land (6D j.2C)/2B, j.B float j.BB land into whatever. You can even do empty jump > throw, Empty jump > 2B, or empty jump > float > j.BB. She has so many mixup options. It's vulnerable to DPs and shielding it, but that's when you mixup doing the float, landing, or doing j.[C] j.236A and then other stuff. All things considered, she has more mixup than Seth, Eltnum, Gordeau, Akatsuki, Merkava, Linne, Carmine, Hilda, Vatista, Chaos and Brohugs. I can't comment on the other characters since I don't know as much about them. That's most of the cast. She's V.Akiha-esque in her mixup. On a different note: Hilda is a god awful matchup.

5C > 236B~C leads to j.C j.2C ender. If you use 2C, you can't use the j.C at the end anymore as it will prorate to a B starter.

I have. Generally if you react to their dash in/jump in, just do 623A instead. It seems to be upper body invulnerable and it's air unblockable. On CH we might get a combo.

You said before you were thinking of playing Nanase. Her Force Function; we're calling it float. :v -
From the combos I'm seeing, I see a few things: If you want higher damage, you'll give up corner carry/oki. If you want corner carry, you give up damage and SOME damage. Nanase has the easiest hit confirms in the game, I think. Max distance 2C/5C combos into 236B~C j.[C] j.BB j.2C 2C 3C j.C j.2C 2C 214A~A. She has crazy damage. I even found out you can do five A moves and still get a full bnb. 2A(x4) 5A 5B 5C 236B~C j.[C] j.BB j.2C 2C 214A~A for 2k damage. I'm thinking she's a solid mid/high tier character. Granted it's much too early for a tier placement for her, but this is just what I'm feeling with her so far.

Erik, you're playing Hilda, right? And HF, did you decide on a character or are you still "float"ing? (ha. ha. ha.) -
This character's pressure is really dumb. Mix up between doing 2C > B+C > 6D > j.BA and 2C > 2A(w) > 5C pressure. You can even do j.B B+C j.B, j.B B+C j.BB or j.B land 2B for mixups or any other combination of overhead move. I've discern that d.C is safe on block and d.B is not. However, if you have the reaction time for it if you see it's blocked, 4B+C away or do whatever.

Dippy, can you PM me your address and time you're hosting? Darell and I are gonna try to come up. I'm currently playing Nanase and Eltnum, but I want to play Yuzuriha and HIlda as well. -
I'm playing a lot online with her, and if you land 214C you can go straight into 236B~6C for combo. It's pretty good. EDIT: Oki mixups. after j.236B oki, do dash attacks or 6D overheads and laugh as you 50/50 them safely. You can return to neutral because projectile covers your recovery.

2A 5B 2B 5C 236B~C j.[C] j.BB j.2C land 2C 214A~A 2848 damage. Not bad off a 2A

Oh man I was excited. Labrys looks like Metis in that picture so I thought maybe Metis would be in.
