Ausf.Achse will play in Naomi/Dreamcast emulators. There is no way of emulating EN-EINS because it's tied to NESiCA.

Under Night In-Birth, PS3 release confirmed (Jul 24, 2014)
TAI-X replied to Hecatom's topic in Under Night In Birth
Very good news that ArcSys is handling the netcode. No one wants another Aquapazza disaster on that front. Interesting revelation that the original doujin release of MB was a major influence on GGX. -
[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion
TAI-X replied to Shinjin's topic in Guilty Gear General
It won't, because they don't want the Japanese importing it at cheap American prices. Also, unless they put it on SACD (which early PS3 models actually support!) or an SD card with FLAC files, you're not gonna be getting the "highest quality possible." -
Most people I heard from considered SCV to be a huge step back from SCIV. They severely curtailed everyone's movesets (Raphael with no dodge counters? Wha?) and pointlessly restricted Guard Impact with a meter cost, while adding some cheezy EX specials and ultra combos to pander to the Esports crowd and everyone who only got into fighting games because of SFIV. And Kilik is technically in SCV as a Mokujin character.

[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion
TAI-X replied to Shinjin's topic in Guilty Gear General
BB didn't have a unique story mode boss (Takemikazuchi) until BBCP. Ram-chan is most likely the only boss you'll be getting in this iteration of Xrd. -
Too premature to claim that VF is over. Akira's been getting a whole lot of playable guest appearances lately, so Sega hasn't totally neglected the series. I wonder if Eliza will be incorporated into T7 as a full-fledged character.

Meanwhile, Virtua Fighter fans continue to cry in a corner...

And you won't hear any more of it until Capcom's numerous crippling issues get sorted out (read: they get bought out by someone, probably Bamco themselves). I think by "final battle" they just mean it's the last confrontation between Kazuya and Heihachi. At least until they bring one or both of them back from the dead for the second time... Gonna be odd hearing old Heihachi without Daisuke Gouri this time. They got away with it in Tag 2 by reverting him to his T1/T2 age, so it was expected he'd sound different.

They're going with Unreal Engine 4 to streamline development and the porting process. This confirms it will be a next-gen exclusive, since 360/PS3 don't support it (Xrd uses UE3). Arcade version will almost certainly run on Namco's new system based on PS4 architecture, which hasn't received a game yet. I have to admit that Tekken always felt like it would be well suited to the typical look and feel of a UE game.

Don't know or really care if they're honoring it, but Riptor was killed by TJ in canon.

SNKP will be at EVO. While KOF XIII is part of this year's tournament lineup, it's unlikely they'd be making an appearance themselves unless they had something new to announce. Brace yourselves.

[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion

We probably won't know anything more about the US release until there's a solid console date for Japan. I'm betting on there being a MUCH smaller gap between releases than there was for BBCP. -

Then Arc might decide to do the same for UNIB, since they're also the publisher. It's going to come out here well after Xrd, so they probably won't have their localization resources tied up. -
[MB] The Maxi Boost General Discussion Thread
TAI-X replied to Setsuna Yuki's topic in Gundam Extreme Versus
There's almost nowhere else left for them to expand the roster for the inevitable next GVG on PS4 hardware. Are they just going to keep putting out new clone suits with different pilots? Been saying for a while that the next major iteration of the series should be Gundam Vs. Macross. Valkyries could have radically different playstyles with distinct advantages and drawbacks compared to the mobile suits, while still meshing well with them in combat. -
I thought FK had left this game for dead in favor of handheld/smartphone shovelware, glad to see they haven't given up on it. I don't expect netcode to ever be added to the PS3 version, but I really doubt they're going to hold the new characters back from consoles forever. Wasn't there also a balance patch released after the PS3 port that never made it onto console?

Under Night In-Birth, PS3 release confirmed (Jul 24, 2014)
TAI-X replied to Hecatom's topic in Under Night In Birth
Expecting and hoping the title will be changed to Under Night Inverse. Morons with their minds in the gutter will be making jokes about "that incest fighter" otherwise. Sticking with my import preorder because 2015 is too damn long to wait. If the localization is good enough, I'll double dip; if it's another lazy/rushed hack job like Aksys has gained a reputation for cranking out lately (no library mode in BBCP? fuck me!), I'll pass. I wonder if it will be digital only. The US market for retail PS3 games will have significantly shrunk by the time it releases here. Might depend on how well physical AH3LM sells. -
To SNK's credit, KOF successfully de-cloned several of its characters as the series matured, and they were bold enough to sometimes completely reinvent veteran cast members like Kensou and Chin. Ryo, Robert and Takuma were practically identical in '94, but became far more differentiated in later games, with Ryo losing his projectile, Robert becoming a Guile type and Takuma getting an invisible shockwave.

Problem is that you still have to go through much of the autocombo sequence for "manual" combos anyway. Sorry if it sounds like a scrubby complaint (not meant as an excuse for sucking though), but it just feels sleazy to me. Even with braindead, basic ABCD magic series combos it at least feels like you're totally in control. I wish the game had three or four normal attack buttons along with the persona buttons so they wouldn't have had to make autocombos mandatory.

Yup, wide open ethernet on both sides. Guess the netcode just sucks.

Under Night In-Birth, PS3 release confirmed (Jul 24, 2014)
TAI-X replied to Hecatom's topic in Under Night In Birth
Chaos is more straightforward than Carl or Relius, since he's not a true puppeteer and can't move while his dino is attacking. He just suffers from usual low tier stuff. -
What I really want to know is why SF Alpha 3 hasn't gotten the Iron Galaxy online port treatment. Unlike Third Strike, I never get sick of that game. I guess they're worried about it seeming redundant when SFIV exists, but it totally isn't.

My post got buried in the sticky thread so I'm trying it here. I've barely followed Ultimax at all because the original game left me pretty cold after the "new game smell" wore off. I couldn't get into any characters other than Kanji and I'm completely disinterested in the Persona 3 and 4 RPGs. I heard from a friend that there's a new mode in Ultimax that lets you play without autocombos? If true, that would significantly improve my enjoyment of the game.

NCSX is my most trusted VG import service. Their prices tend to be a bit higher, but you won't find better customer service anywhere else. Best part is they ship from NY, so if you're in the US, your package doesn't have to go through customs and will arrive a lot faster. -

I went as far as to buy this game for a friend when it hit $20 so we could play together, and it was a total waste on my end. Even though we're in the same state, the lag was unbearable.
