[UNIEL] Under Night In-Birth Q&A Thread
mAceOfHearts replied to Tigre's topic in Under Night In Birth
Sorry, but neither Carmine nor Chaos are zoners. They can be, but it'll be extremely difficult to play them properly that way. For zoners, you might want to try Vatista or Merkava. Vatista is the ´´true`` zoner, but Merkava can use his full screen grabs and air projectiles to zone as well. -
Glad to be of service.

5D is Concentration, which fills the Grind Grid. j.D I don't know about, I always just use j.66. EDIT: No, I was correct. j.D does nothing. It's j.4D. Seth's Air Back Assault is either j.44 or j.A+B.

Correct, but it's 4D and j.4D, not 6D and j.6D. 6D and j.6D are Assaults, which are basically air dashes that allow you to apply pressure.

Mashing's only use is punishing dropped combos or failed oki. It's about as reliable as it is in BB. So, not at all. -

Nope, regular jump. I guess I just have to shield the hits. -
Poke with 5B, 5C and 214A/B. Throw out fireballs if you feel like it. His poking game's pretty good.

I know about air unblockables, I'm talking about air unblockable aerial attacks. Thanks, though. -

Am I dreaming, or are air unblockable aerial attacks a thing in this game? Or does a jump just have a large amount of startup that you can't block during? -
Pretty sure you would. I can still use my JP BBCP to play with guys that have the US version.
-
It's usually done after a blocked 6D or 3D. Those are -2 on block, but netplay usually allows Az to just toss out a 5A after they've been blocked, allowing him to continue applying pressure.

I feel the exact same way about Azrael. He's my main and I love using him, but fighting against him is insanely annoying in 9/10 cases. I can only hope my opponents don't feel that way when fighting my Azrael.

GGs to HaraKiriTigers and Salatio. It's good to know that I've become so used to lag that even matches that are apparently very laggy seem completely fine to me. I honestly did not notice any lag at all during our matches. The Skype chat was hilarious, we should definitely do something like that again sometime.
-
GGs to everyone I played. Great matches, badIime, I learned a lot.

Thanks for the advice, but I meant that the connection made it impossible. I am very capable of performing quarter circles, the circumstances just made it way harder than it should be. It also made any and all hitconfirms near impossible. GGs to Kaliel00, awesome Amane.

BlazBlue Question Thread - Ask your questions here!
mAceOfHearts replied to KayEff's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
If I'm fighting someone and I can tell they're new at the game, I'll finish the current match without holding back. Afterwards, if the match was completely one-sided in my favor, I might switch to one my subs to a) give my opponent a better chance, and b) practise a character I don't usually get to practise with. That said, unless my opponent specifically request that I do something - ´´Please don't use Azrael``, ´´Can you hold back a little``, etc. - I'm gonna go all-out. -
The color of your square online has meaning?

Well shit, never mind then. This system is awful. -

Is anyone up for helping get down to Light Blue sometime? I don't want to bother with the rankings anymore. -

That happened to me when I tried learning Amane. I decided to stick with Azrael after that. -
GGs to those I played. I seriously could not do quarter circles. I got 5B and 2B by accident so many times. It's the simplest motion in the history of fighting games, and yet it refuses to work for me. I lost two games to a godawful Ragna because of that.

Pretty sure she can.

People who won't give it their all in a fight. There's nothing more insulting than someone not feeling like you're worth taking seriously. Even if you're better than me, at least have the decency to not openly mock me by taunting after getting a knockdown. Now, if you want to use your sub or something, that's okay, you feel like you can get some practise in, the matches are still exciting, fine, whatever. That's different. Just don't act like I'm not worth your time. Especially not if our matches are actually fairly close. ESPECIALLY NOT if you can't even handle a single loss and immediately quit after I take a match.
-
BGs to DISainFAIR. Not only do you not take me seriously, you quit as soon as you lose a single match. Gotta say, though, that salt was tasty as hell. GGs to BLACKSHEP and EvilCommie, Black's Az is pretty good, albeit a bit mashy, Evil's Haz is amazing, his control of space is great. Though, I don't get why you're backdashing so much. It's caused you nothing but trouble.

Azrael is one of those characters that can be played a million different ways, and half of those ways involve stupid shit. I try my best to play a "legit" Azrael, which makes it pretty disheartening to see someone else use him in a scumbaggy way. Us Azrael mains have such a bad rep because of things like that.
