Flashy supers? I don't see how BB's supers are flashier than Xrd's at all. I haven't seen any game with flashier supers than Xrd's TBH. -

And that's exactly why so many of us found the trailer dull. You can't tell anything about him from it. As a promotional trailer it has failed to show him off as a character.

It's way too early to call I know, but Adachi looks really boring in this trailer. I never seen a promotional trailer where the character drops combos before.

Oh wow you're right, I didn't pay attention to the meter, but that 1:11 has different startup entirely from the IK shown, it just cuts to his IK portrait for some reason.

Welcome to every time a fan favorite character becomes playable. Who would have thought that a character would perform well in a promotional trailer designed to make them look good? Anyway I agree with the trailer being pretty bad, I can't discern what the fuck his playstyle is even supposed to be from that. I guess that move where MI drops down is a delayed overhead and you're supposed to put them in a blockstring so that it hits them or something. EDIT: So after watching his trailer again I think I've got the gist of a couple of his moves. 1:02 is the fourth hit of his auto combo, meaning that it is some sort of dashing strike move. 1:04 is a lunging kick thing like Naoto's special, causes fatal counter where it wall bounces/sticks, cuts away too fast to tell. 1:06 is his version of Ziodyne. It might be air unblockable as you see what appears to be a reset where he uses it to end his AOA air combo, causing his opponent to tech and get hit by it. Or maybe they just don't block it. That would be dumb. 1:07 is some kind of move where MI falls down like the second half of Cross Slash. The fast startup makes me think it's his 2D but I'm not sure about that. Hitstun is long enough for Adachi to follow up. 1:08 could be either his 5B or the "regular" version of 1:04. It puts him in an air state. 1:09 is probably an air special. I don't think it's j.5C cause you can see MI drag Yukiko away. 1:10 looks like a grab, either his normal throw or a command grab. Teddie is going into his "grabbed" animation and not the animation he goes into from normal hitstun. 1:11 is his IK obviously. Seems to function like Jedah's ES move from Vampire Savior. 1:14 seems to be a tracking super with lengthy startup.

I do sort of see Bridget on it, but wouldn't the pants be black if so? They would have to make the parts on his shirt white and the pants black for it to really match.

A lot of people reporting PSN fucking up on them for BB these past few days, may be wise to lay low until it gets fixed.

Ishiwatari explains that although the previous Guilty Gear games would not accept buffered inputs in a number of situations, Xrd will now allow it, as the development team heard that newer players would find it difficult to execute those commands without buffered inputs. That doesn't sound dumbed down to me at all. That seems like an objective improvement as long as it isn't so loose that you get the wrong commands like what happens sometimes in SF and KOF13. -

Also even if you don't like BB you should not mistreat the BB fans if you want them to get interested in GG. Just say something like "you like BB so why not try GG? It's by the same guys" and work from there. You don't have to like BB (I imagine most of you don't) but you should be careful how you approach that if you want to get new people into GG because if you shit on their game you will just make them not want to bother. -

Arcsys are awful at supporting the international market and it's nothing new. This is why we usually get their games a million years later. But with GG we're gonna be pretty punctual with it so I think this is an opportunity to get it some more momentum in the US. Try and get your friends interested. If they like fighting games but are also fans of anime or heavy metal music then work from there. My brother likes strategy/action games and is trying GG Overture and if he enjoys the setting and characters enough may be interested in getting into the core GG fighters (hopefully). Plus with Xrd more accessible they don't have to be intimidated by how wild GG can be at times. -

I wish Adachi navigator would laugh at you for dropping combos and tell you to just give up when your health gets low. Things like that.

Based on that information it makes me think he might have some sort of gimmicky taunt/counter trap system where he gets buffs every time he lands a successful counter.

You probably should not be telling a mod to shut up. SRK article still has no translation for Adachi sadly. I think we're stuck until we get a trailer unless someone else wants to take a stab at it.

That is absolute nonsense and you know it. Withholding finished content is blatantly anti consumer and doesn't deserve your dollar. But some people will always be sheep.

Have anyone translated the Famitsu article yet, I'm interested in seeing if there's a description of his play style beyond vague out of context screenshots. SRK have not updated their aticle yet.

I remember another forum I visit suggested that Adachi have something like Venom or Mu where he can set TVs and then have projectiles aimed at them and bounce in the direction the TV is placed.
