[CP] Vita Match Finder/GG Thread
Speakeasy replied to vKhalinpopopodhd's topic in BlazBlue Online Play
Just thought I'd post here on the off-chance I haven't already. I'm AxFielder223 on PSN and I play on the Vita pretty regularly. Hit me up sometime yo -
So I'm accidentally learning more about this backwards 5C nonsense. It's getting great. Fun fact: If you manage to somehow tag your opponent with the little sliver of hitbox on the back of 5C after a bugged backwards 5C, you can input 6B (6 being toward the opponent, and you input that because you know you won't get a combo so you might as well just go for broke) and you'll get 4B. I don't... what?
-
So apparently his command grab super hits you in the air? What now?
-
When I do a j.C>5C confirm with Nu and Nu lands and does 5C in the wrong direction for whatever reason, making me lose my dope-ass combo and take ludicrous damage. Is it too much to ask for my combos to not ruin themselves with no input from me?
-
I've always called the Asterius Shadow Labrys Slabs, so this hasn't bothered me the, like, two times I've talked about the new Shadow Labrys.
-
I'm not good enough with Mu to be happy or sad about any of these, but I'm going to miss easy steins in pressure, I guess.
-
@236C Fatal: Do we even really need that? I mean, it seems to wallbounce on non-CH now, isn't that enough?
-
What do we do about Hilda?
-
Its hitbox was an inch and a half wide.

BlazBlue Question Thread - Ask your questions here!
Speakeasy replied to KayEff's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
I'm curious - are there any characters for which round start OD isn't a terrible idea? -
The grab astral made me wish I had never been born, I can't say I'd be sad if it wasn't included. It'll be hard to make a worse astral than that.

Whenever I'm on ranked (because lol dead arcade lobbies), I enter with parameters set for 2 bars or above. 2-bars are generally really nice connections and I know that consistently finding 3-bars to play with on a regular basis with my internet is a pipe dream, so I'm more than happy to hit up any 2-bar I see. Sometimes I'll see someone on the list with a 2-bar connection and try to match up with them, and it tells me my connection is too low for their parameters. I understand 100%, but man, quit being stingy with your connection.

I'm not saying it's unbeatable or that it's a big deal (because like hell I was gonna get close to Hakumen anyway), I'm just saying that it blew my mind. When someone figures out my steins I just charge them anyway, but still. He took his sword and cut my lasers.
-
So I found a Hakumen that knew the timing to cut stein shots. Oh god someone hold me I'm scared
-
I lay on 2C with Nu and Mu when I panic. I know how it feels. Go watch a replay where you and your enemy both panic. It's comedy gold.
-
I want to play Vatista. How do I learn the sacred art of the charge character? If that was no info, I'm looking for general tips on execution for combos with charge moves, how to know how long you need to charge to get your move, how to hide your charges in neutral, things like that. I don't even know where to start. I know you're supposed to block low to charge your [4]6 and [2]8 specials simultaneously, but I don't like turtling like that because it tells the opponent exactly what I'm doing.
-
He's a redname, but he's on Vita and he's a 3-bar, I'll give him a chance. One curbstomp later.... ... Yep.
-
I know that swords are fantastic in this matchup, but I still feel obligated to use other things. Maybe random yolo 4B or something for fun.
-
I watched some of the Lambda gameplay and it looks like she has a new special? Maybe it was j.6D, but the way she crouched twice before it makes me think it might be 22D.
-
I ran into a Nu a while ago with completely different pressure from my own and I was wondering how much I should steal from him. The biggest thing I remember him doing was falling j.B in pressure for an overhead. It seems easy to block (because what other than an overhead will Nu be doing in the air?) and react to, so I didn't really see the point. Was he baiting something from me or do I just not get it? He also never touched Dia parsers in pressure. I know they're unsafe, but I love them too much to give up. Maybe he just wasn't doing it because the rules of neutral are different for mirror matches. To condense it down, is j.B in pressure for mixup a good idea, and can we get a basic primer on Nu pressure in general to refresh our memories?
-
So how do we chase this little bastard down? I'm feeling a lot more comfortable in Luna in this matchup, so I can't autopilot 2D after a blocked 6D, and it feels like Dia parsers aren't really going to be doing much for us in this matchup. What else should I know about this matchup?
-
That is what happened, but man, I get all ready to start doing some super stylin' and then it's taken away.

I know I was complaining a few pages ago about bad bursts, but now I'm going to complain about good bursts. Why do people only burst my gravity combos? I could never, ever touch my D button once, but the moment I do a gravity hitconfirm, everyone lays on burst like there's no tomorrow. I'm sure I could go ham, egg, and cheese on every other combo and rack up the damage while being as easy to burst as possible and people will lose for the chance to burst the moment I use gravity. I had a match today where I used burst-safe combos because I wanted nothing more than to get that burst from someone so Icould use gravity, then just gave up and went for gravity and they immediately bursted. Man... that's just not right.

I'm not sure if it's just netplay Azraels or what, but they all seem to growler immediately at the sight of 214D. I don't mind giving him one fireball, so I'll do 214D~C oki on him once and let him have the fireball if he growlers in time, then 214D fullscreen and watch him growler for no reason. Baiting things is fun.
