TGZ is doing their Weekly Wednesday thing again. Come on by for some games or to chill. $3 cover and they close at 9 tonight. I'll be there and hope to see some of you as well. -
Went 3-2. I take solace in that fact that it took another Bedman player to eliminate me. Here's to you Rikir. GGs. I wish I had done as well as Yoshi though. D: Totally not holding a small grudge. :x

TGZ is open for the night again with $3 all night cover if you guys want to come for that last minute grind. I'll be there and I hope to see some of you folks there too. -
Yeah, long lasting moves work too, but said person would have to know about the invincibility for it to be a threat. Same situation as supers though is that if they wait, Hemi Jack will be on the move.

Had too much to post, so i'll just use another forum post: Supers that force Bedman to block on teleport: Sin's R-T-L 2nd & 3rd dash. 1st whiffs. Sin's Voltec Dein Faust's Kancho Faust's Super Item toss (If he gets an item with an active hitbox) Millia's Emerald Rain (2nd and 3rd blade, 1st one whiffs) Sol's Tyrant Rave (2nd hit, 1st hit whiffs) Potemkin's Giganter Kai Ramlethal's Calvados Ramlethal's Trance Venom's Dark Angel Venom's TK Red Hail Venom's Bishop Runout (Summon + immediate hit) Zato's TK Excecutor (Slight Delay) Bedman's Sinusoidal Helios (Immediately done will whiff completely, slight delay will force a block) While all DPs and projectiles normally don't have the ability to do anything, the above overdrives can put pressure on Bedman as he comes out of the teleport. Here's some cliff notes as to the benefits of this setup: -Even if an above overdrive is used, so long as it's blocked, Hemi Jack will still exist. -If set up in the corner, blocking a stationary overdrive equates to a death sentence, as Hemi Jack is usually on the move towards them by recovery. Following it up with pressure of any kind assures Hemi Jack landing. -Once DJVA' lands, Bedman becomes invincible from that moment until he ends the actual teleport. -DPs, Grand Viper, Stun Dipper, etc have no effect until he comes out of teleport, even during the, usually, very punishable recovery of Hemi Jack's summoning. -As this has been found literal days before EVO, this might end up being the ace in our sleeve against people who don't read this post. Enjoy your findings. I know I am.

Real talk, the CDC might want to quarantine that hotel this weekend. EVOla is gonna spread like a plague. D: -
Been messing in that, and absolutely nothing can punish it. Connecting the DJVA' turns the move from being invincible on appearance to invincible during Hemi Jack recovery until appearance. I've been going through everyone's options and while nobody can touch him during the warp, long lasting supers or moves will force Bedman to come out blocking like Venom's Dark Angel or Axl's Sickle Storm. I'll go through and edit this post as I find out more. Also, as is the case with Slayer's Dead on Time, Bedman won't teleport with the opponent's movement. He'll always teleport to the location where the DJVA' connected. As an example, if the head connects midscreen and Slayer DoTs away in an attempt to punish, Bedman will appear midscreen along with Hemi Jack.

Disregard as this is fake as hell. It's an Archer level forgery though, so it tricked me for a little bit. https://twitter.com/fura__pan/status/620388106404020224 -

People are equating Hibiki to Seth from UNIEL. All we have to see is if he has a projectile and teleports and we'll have a match. https://twitter.com/AkasuraXrd/status/620292966368845824 -
Pretty sure that isn't common knowledge. Thank you Wondertonic! I always tried doing this with Task A', but if you start up an overdrive during Task the head auto returns. I thought the same applied for the head DJVs and never tried it. Oops. >.>

Following on the heels of Rikir, I have a few things to add that might be helpful: - For any combo that lets you set up the high DJVC in the corner (Etc > 1H > Superjump j.S > j.P > j.S > j.236H on Sol for example) if you have 25 meter you can force a ground to air situation. Example: (Etc > 1H > Superjump j.S > j.P > j.S > j.Task C > 6P > c.5S > DJVC > YRC on tech) is one option that forces them into blocking which also allows you an extended combo should they not tech at all. -Rikir's Potemkin Corner combo can be modified as a midscreen lockdown Example: (etc > 5HS(2) > 1H > normal jump j.S > j.Task C > crossover 6HS > DJVC) forces Potemkin to block on wakeup on back & neutral tech. Forward Tech gives him the chance to throw out j.K to punish, but YRC covers that issue and make Potemkin land into the quake from DJVC letting you run your game. -This is a better combo to use if in a matchup where zoning means survival. Universal combo. Example: (etc > 1HS > sj.k > j.Task B) while not giving a multitude of DJV marks, pushes the opponent full screen away and it can't be teched, allowing for meaty 3HS, Task A, and whatever else. -Useful universal corner to corner carry combo using above. Example: (etc > 1HS > sj.k > j.Task B > RRC > *land* > j.k > *C.Dash forward* > j.k > j.s > Task C) I usually add on an an OTG string to force them to tech into blocking like (2K > 5S > DJVC). Once you hit the OTG point, it's burst safe. As a note, the RRC needs to happen right as the DJV mark is made off of j.Task B to give you the right momentum to finish the combo. To early and you'll be right under them making things whiff. Too late and you won't land in time for j.k. Thank you Rikir for the unbolded source material and GCYoshi for the j.k > C.Dash ender to that last one. I appreciate you both. Now let's go body some folks at EVO.

Xrd Slayer Frame Data Analysis, Number Crunching, and Theory Fightin
TagAnarchy replied to 4r5's topic in Slayer
Saw "Theory Fighting" in the title and thought this was a right place to post. I only dabble in Slayer, but I have an inquiry for you all. I was in the lab with a friend and we found a few things that (D.Step>HS>RC) might be useful for. It seemed, at least while we were messing with it, that it opens up a lot of options if you have the meter for it. The main 3 things we played with were -YRC'ing the HS early for throws & misc. pressure -"FRC'ing" the landing to stay on the ground and use the block/hitstun from the quake to confirm into a combo or continue block pressure with undertow, overheads, throws, etc -and RRC'ing the HS right after he leaves the ground for pretty much the same use as the second one. We found the first and second might be the most useful, especially considering that not only does HS regularly cross up, but the second one lets you double Pilebunker into damage should you confirm a counter hit off of it in the corner or just go into Crosswise on regular hit. I imagine someone might've found this already, but in the off chance that nobody has does this seem like something worth the time looking into as a viable strat? Sorry for the novel. :x -
I just realized how sad it is that out of 600+ people, I'd only be comfortable saying that 10, at the most 15, people will actually play Bedman. Hopefully one of us hits stream to show the world just what we have up our sleeve.

It does. It's the official one, but their PR guy is just really cool. -
Some of us just aren't listed. I'm going and I'm sure there might be 2-3 more aside from who's on that list.
-
Angelic plays Ram, but doesn't play as heavily as he did after an incident. That said though, don't sleep on it, he still knows his stuff since I still play him on occasion.
-
Yup. Same Rikir. This is pretty much how the first round of my bracket will be.
-
I'm going. If you don't mind, I'll come over to your pools and cheer you on if I'm not playing. [emoji14]
